no pain, NO PAIN, how to cope

This is a very long entry I considered cutting it in two, but decided not to so the information would all hold it's value. When one exercises pain is inevitable but how can we cope and still go one to exercise again tomorrow when what we did today is making us so stove up we can hardly wiggle?

Right after we exercise and we've done, maybe a bit more than we usually do and we sit to rest for a while before going back for more; our muscles tell us, "Hey, no more, I've had enough, in fact I'm doing my best to see that you can't get up right now and hop back on that bicycle." That's because when we exercise; food for our muscles floods our muscles cells, so they have the energy and strength to do the job we are asking of them.

If we just stop without cooling down that food just sits in our muscles and does what undigested food always does, rots. That's what is causing the pain.

(1)
Lactate is a very dynamic substance. First, when lactate is produced, it will try to leave the muscles and enter neighboring muscles, the bloodstream or the space between muscle cells where there is a lower concentration of lactate. It could end up in another muscle nearby or some place else in the body.

Second, when lactate is taken up by another muscle, it will probably be turned back into pyruvate and be used for aerobic energy. Training increases the enzymes that readily convert pyruvate to lactate and lactate to pyruvate. Lactate can also be used by the heart as a fuel or go to the liver and be turned back into glucose and glycogen. It can move from one part of the body to another quickly. There is even evidence that some lactate will turn back into glycogen in the muscles.

Ordinarily, a muscle which can use pyruvate for energy will get it from glycogen stored in the muscle. However, if excess lactate is available in the bloodstream or adjoining muscles, much of this lactate will be transported to the muscle and will be converted to pyruvate. The muscle fiber that can use the pyruvate may be right next to the muscle fiber that cannot use it. Lactate also circulates in the bloodstream and can be picked up by other muscles in other parts of the body. Some of the muscles which may eventually use the lactate may be relatively inactive, such as the arms of a runner.

Is lactate harmful? Yes and no, but mostly no. When lactate is produced in the muscles, excess hydrogen ions are produced with the lactate. If there is substantial accumulation, the muscles become very acidic. These hydrogen ions cause problems with the contraction of muscles for exercise. Athletes describe a "burning" or a "tightening" of the muscles as performance disintegrates. Most of these hydrogen ions originate with the lactate. When lactate is produced, the hydrogen ion is produced; when lactate leaves the cell, hydrogen ions leave the cell with the lactate. Thus, lactate isn't the cause of muscle fatigue. But it is directly related to the acidity, which is thought to be the real cause. While athletes hate this burning sensation, it is really a defense mechanism against muscle damage. Too much acidity can break down muscle fiber. There is speculation that one of the causes of overtraining is too much training at levels that produce high acid levels.

There [are] two kinds of pain when working out;

1. Mild to moderate pain. Something you feel when you are doing an exercise such as squats. Just your tight muscles stretching and filling with blood.

2. Severe pain.-DOMS-[delayed reaction pain- This is pain you feel long after you have exercised. Such as the felling of someone sticking knives into you and turning them. Last for several days.

This type of pain is telling you that you are lifting too heavy and are tearing your muscles. You need to stop until the pain goes completely away, cut back considerably on your weights, and re-start your lifting program again.

A good workout is a combination of exercise, followed by rest (you build mass and strength during the rest, not during the exercise. The heavier you lift; the longer time you need to rest. I lift heavy once a week), followed by time (it takes 3 months to see any changes, 6 months for better changes, 12 months for good changes, 5 years for great changes!), patience (see months, before), and determination (you will have days when you do no exercise! It does not matter. Exercise when you can - the end results will still be the same!)

STRATEGIES FOR EXERTION PAIN ARE:
(3)
Every morning and evening, hammer out the kinks. Using your fists, gently thump the outside of your body, starting with your legs and arms, working from top to bottom. Then move inward to your torso and thump from bottom to top. "Pummeling your muscles and bones will help strengthen the body, stimulate blood circulation, and relax nerve endings," ...When done in the morning, this self-massage technique will waken and prepare your body -- and mind -- for the day ahead. When done before bed, it calms down the mind and beats out the stress and tension of the day. One warning: If you're taking any kind of blood thinner, such as Coumadin (warfarin), avoid this one; you could wind up with bruising.

Rub yourself down before and after exercise. Massaging your body before your stretching, cardio, or strength training increases blood flow to the muscles. Massaging your muscles after exercise may help encourage waste removal and speed muscle recovery. Before exercise, use a pummeling motion with your fists to bring blood flow to your leg and arm muscles. After exercise, rub along your muscles with your palm or fist, moving in the direction of your heart.

Lactate may be one of the most important energy fuels in the body. Let us banish once and for all the bad publicity that lactic acid has attracted for so long and elevate it to its rightful place as one of the most important of the body’s fuels’...Crucially, lactate actually helps to produce energy. It is created during glycolysis, which literally means the breakdown of glucose. Glucose is derived from the carbohydrate we eat, and glycolysis kick starts chemical processes within our muscles that produce the energy required for sustained muscular contraction. Without glycolysis we would be unable to sustain exercise for more than a few seconds

Another type of exercise soreness

(5)

MECHANISMS of INJURY
For many years the phenomenon of DOMS has been attributed to the buildup of lactate in the muscles after an intense workout. However, this assumption has been shown to be unrelated to DOMS. The perceptions of pain and soreness that result from intense eccentric exercise are not related to lactate buildup at all. ...Blood and muscle lactate levels do rise considerably during intense eccentric and concentric exercise, however values for blood and muscle lactate return to normal within 30-60 minutes post exercise. Concentric exercise produces two-thirds more lactate than does eccentric exercise. If DOMS was brought on by the accumulation of lactate in the muscles, there would me more of an incidence of DOMS after concentric exercise than that of eccentric exercise. Furthermore, blood lactate levels drop to normal values within 60 minutes of an intense exercise bout. The symptoms of DOMS peak within 24-48 hours after an intense eccentric exercise bout when blood lactate levels have been at normal levels for a considerable amount of time.

Typical symptoms often associated with DOMS include strength loss, pain, muscle tenderness, stiffness, and swelling. Loss of strength usually peaks within the first 48 hours of an exercise bout, with full recovery taking up to 5 days. Pain and tenderness peak within 1-3 days after exercise and typically subside within 7 days. Stiffness and swelling can peak 3-4 days after exercise and will usually resolve within 10 days. It is important to note that these symptoms are not dependant on one another and do not always present at the same time.

If you work out hard but not very regularly, you're especially likely to have sore muscles afterward. Taking vitamin-E supplements before you exercise can help prevent that, a study at Tufts University Medical School in Boston found. Men who took 1,000 international units (IU) of vitamin-E supplements daily for three months reported less muscle soreness after workouts than did those who took a placebo, says researcher Jennifer Sacheck, Ph.D., who also looked for evidence of muscle damage in their blood. Both sexes should benefit the same, she says, and 200-400 IU of vitamin E daily may be enough to prevent pain for everyone.

The current recommended daily intake of natural vitamin E from foods such as nuts and vegetable oils is 22 U or 33 IU of synthetic. The maximum recommended intake from supplements is 1,500 IU of natural E, 1,100 IU of synthetic.

This doesn't generally work for those with Fibromyalgia, or Rheumatoid arthritis, or who are aged, and also certain injuries. While it is believed that moderate exercise can really help those with FMS, heavy exercise can really knock them for a loop.

Rheumatoid arthritis sufferers know that they will pay for every bit of exercise they engage in, and since it's necessary for all of us, even folks in wheelchairs, low-impact is best below are some great tips for exercising with Rheumatoid arthritis, I think it's sound advice for all of us who experience severe pain after exertion. Especially the cooling down part.

(7)
Before Exercise:
Apply heat or ice treatments to the area you will be exercising. Heat relaxes your joints and muscles and helps relieve pain. Cold also reduces pain and swelling for some people. Be sure to apply the heat or cold correctly. Heat treatments should feel soothing and comfortable, not hot. Apply heat for about 20 minutes. Use cold for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. For more advice on proper use of heat or cold, contact your local Arthritis Foundation for a copy of the booklet Managing Your Pain.
Warm up. Do gentle range-of-motion and strengthening exercises at least 10 to 15 minutes before more vigorous endurance-type exercise. Begin your activity at a slow pace and gradually work to a faster pace. Taking the time to warm up before exercising will help you prevent injuries.
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Your clothes should be loose and comfortable for easy movement. Layering your clothes will help you adapt to changes in temperature and activity level. Your shoes should provide good support, and the soles should be made from non-slip, shock-absorbent material. Wearing shock-absorbent insoles also can make your exercise more comfortable.
During Exercise:
Don't hurry. Exercise at a comfortable, steady pace that allows you to speak to someone without running out of breath. Exercising at this pace gives your muscles time to relax between each repetition.
Breathe while you exercise. Don't hold your breath. Exhale as you do the exercise, and inhale as you relax between repetitions. Counting out loud during the exercise will help you breathe deeply and regularly.
Be alert for "warning signs." Stop exercising right away if you have chest tightness or severe shortness of breath or feel dizzy, faint or sick to your stomach. If these symptoms occur, contact your doctor immediately. If you develop muscle pain or a cramp, gently rub and stretch the muscle. When the pain is gone, continue exercising with slow, easy movements. You may need to change position or the way you are doing the exercise. A good general rule is to stop exercising if you start having sharp pain or more pain than usual. Pain is your warning signal that something is wrong.
After Exercise:
Cool down for five to 10 minutes. This helps you cool off, lets your heart slow down and helps your muscles relax. To cool down, simply do your exercise activity at a slower pace, such as walking slowly. Also try gentle stretching to avoid stiff or sore muscles the next day.

For me heat is the ticket, after days like today when I've mowed and trimmed [hey that trimmer weighs a ton, and it makes my shoulders and arm ache afterwards] I've found that allowing myself to hurt for too long,-- ok I'm a stoic-type, I rarely stop what I'm doing just because it hurts--results in pain that lasts and lasts even up to a year or more. I got tendonitis from being on the telephone too long- it lasted over a year, rendering my left arm and shoulder completely unusable all that time. My muscles on my left side spasm from stroke damage and if I continue an activity that causes the spasming that pain just lingers, the gift that KEEPS ON GIVING! Anyway I love heat, long lobster dips in my tub- ok I'm careful, but my skin tolerates heat better than most people's.

I also like heating pads and my Nikken farinfrared machine [KenKo wave] to reduce pain. The other day I was holding a paperback book that was so exciting that even tho' my hand was spasming I kept on reading, and my wrist hurt so bad atfterwards, making sleep difficult, I put the Nikken machine on it and away was the pain in about an hour after I took it off the pulse.

I also believe that my CellPower™ Is helping me overcome so many problems I've had.

The summer band class I taught was just getting underway when a large insect flew into the room. The sixth-graders, eager to play their shiny new instruments, tried to ignore the buzzing intruder, but eventually one student, Tommy, could stand it no more.

He rolled up his music book and swatted the insect and then stomped on it to ensure its fate.

"Is it a bee?" another student asked.

"Nope," Tommy replied. "Bee flat."

Three contractors were touring the White House on the same day.

One was from New York, another from Missouri and the third from Florida. At the end of the tour, the guard asked them what they did for a living. When they each replied that they were contractors, the guard said, "Hey, we need one of the rear fences redone. Why don't you all take a look at it and give me your bids."

First the Florida contractor took out his tape measure and pencils, did some measuring and said, "I figure the job will run about $900 - $400 for materials, $400 for my crew, and $100 profit for me."

Next was the Missouri contractor. He also took out his tape measure and pencil, did some quick calculations and said, "Looks like I can do this job for $700 - $300 for materials, $300 for my crew, and $100 profit for me."

Finally, the guard asks the New York contractor for his bid. Without batting an eye, the contractor says, "$2700."

The guard, incredulous, looks at him and says, "You didn't even measure like the others did! How did you come up with such a high figure?"

"Easy," says the contractor from New York, "$1000 for me, $1000 for you, and we hire the guy from Missouri."

ALKALINE WATER

Are those pricey alkaline water units worth it? Do they help or harm?

OK here's the theory: An alkaline body is the ideal, so drinking water that is alkaline will help you heal, right?

Not necessarily. For instance if you checked out the alkalizing food lists I posted you'd see things like lemons are very alkalizing, and they are so very acidic in taste, we pucker up just thinking about them. See acid-alkaline-revisited for acid and alkaline food lists.

[digression]
Distilled water is acidic but add CellPower™, and the total effect is to alkalize the body, bringing it back to where it is in a healthy condition and the immune system fights off any infectious diseases also. While the body is regaining it's original pH CellPower™ is also anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral. CellPower™ also adds enzymes to your body being a great all-around supplement that is cost effective, easy to use and REALLY WORKS![/end digression]

Some call the alkalizing water machines "snake oil on tap".

If you are trying to alkalize an acid stomach check this out first, we all assume chewing lots of chalky alkaline tabs will helop, but the problem may not be acid at all but a stomach that hurts might be too alkaline already the best thing for you might be a tablespoon of vinegar instead.

Now lets's talk about the causes of a painful tummy.

(1)
It is equally a well established fact of science that when we chew a piece of bread or potato or any other carbohydrate/starch, ptyalin and other alkaline juices are immediately secreted into the food by saliva in the mouth. When swallowed, the alkalized starches require an alkaline medium in the stomach in order to complete their digestion.

Anyone should be able to figure out what therefore happens when you ingest protein and starch together. Acid and alkaline juices are secreted simultaneously in response to the incoming protein and starch, promptly neutralizing one another and leaving a weak, watery solution in the stomach that digests neither protein nor starch properly. Instead, the proteins putrefy and the starches ferment owning to the constant presence of bacteria in the digestive tract.

This putrefaction and fermentation are the primary cause of all sorts of digestive distress, including gas, heartburn, cramps, bloating, constipation, foul stools, bleeding, piles, colitis, and so forth.

Our stomach is filled with a very corrosive acid-Hydrochloric, poured full strength on clothing it will dissolve it, how could a glass of orange or tomato juice put us over the edge on acidosis?* No, the chemical soup we use to digest our foods is way more complicated than that. The acidifying foods are ones whose chemical composition will cause an acid reaction in the body, the alkalizing foods while not all alkaline in pH themselves will cause an alkaline reacton. Drinking alkalized water isn't going to help you become alkaline in pH, because it is acidifying by nature. Please note the different forms of the alkali word, Alkaline doesn't necessarily alkalize.

*Actually I use orange juice for the rare case of 'heartburn' I get, it works great!
I find that since I've been taking CellPower™ I am getting well from so many problems I've had.

A KEY TO OBESITY DISCOVERED

I was so excited about this news I felt I just had to post on Sunday even though I don't usually write on Sundays

(1)

Adiponectin is a new link between obesity, insulin resistance, and cardiovascular disease.
"Adiponectin is a novel and important member of the adipocytokine family which has regulatory functions in the glucose and lipid metabolism. Adiponectin stimulates fatty acids oxidation, reduces plasma triglycerides, and improves glucose metabolism by increasing the insulin sensitivity. In addition, adiponectin inhibits the inflammatory process that accompanies atherogenesis, as it reduces the expression of endothelial adhesion molecules, macrophage-to-foam cell transformation, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) expression in macrophages and adipocytes, and smooth muscle cell

While I disagree with the first sentance, that this is a new hormone I am excited about it's use to help people with the heartbreak of obesity.

Medicinenet.com says it is a protein hormone released by the adipocytes (fat cells) that regulates the metabolism of fats in the body and insulin production. It also has an anti-inflammatory effect on the lining of blood cells. It has been shown to lower the risk of Heart Disease.

(2)
The obesity epidemic has become a major public
health problem in both industrialized countries and the developing world. Recent studies
suggest that the major development of persistent adiposity is established already at preadolescence.
The fact that obesity is mainly determined before puberty implies that preschool
detection of children at risk is essential along with individual prevention programs provided by
the school health services in liaison with specialists. However, few methods are available for
cost-effective detection of the pre-school children at risk.

This exciting folks they have finally isolated the cause of obesity, However I've only found, and I did search for it, one product with ingredients to enable one to balance their leptin and adiponectin levels to reduce weight: Swanson System Weight Loss w/Tart Cherry from Swansons Health Products great prices and high Quality-Absolutely!

Remember we found out yesterday that MSG causes obesity. If you really need more taste in your foods go hotter, go with herbs, or go with stronger-flavored whole foods.

OK, OK, it's not diabetes, but a lower weight will allow the body to more readily control it's Blood Glucose levels. It's also best for the heart and lots of other diseases, [if you listen to doctors it causes everything from hangnails to Leprosy]including lung diseases, circulatory problems and strokes.

I find that since I've been taking CellPower™ I am getting well from so many problems I've had. and I am still losing weight.

(1)
MSG and type 2 diabetes
Your article “Type 2 diabetes appearing in youths” (SN: 7/10/99, p. 31) is of special interest
to me. I saw no type 2 diabetes in young people when I started medical practice in the early
’60s. By the time I had retired in 1995, such patients were not uncommon in my practice. I
believe monosodium glutamate (MSG) is the cause. MSG is an excitotoxin that works by overstimulating
its nerve target. When MSG is fed to baby rats for the first 9 days of their lives and
then discontinued, the MSG destroys the arcuate nucleus of the pituitary gland. For the rest of
the life of the rat, it will be obese, hypothyroid, and lethargic when compared with controls not
given MSG. Remember, MSG was released on the market in 1948. Just read your food labels.
Ian D. Murphy
Toledo, Ohio

This was written by a Doctor for a medical Journal but is not readily available to the public, Why?

Way too many food manufacturers are making money off of this stuff, who cares if it directly impacts the health of millions of people. They seek the thrill of great tastes and this is the result.

Why doesn't the FDA warn us? Why indeed.

Here's more:
(2)
...Scientists were creating obese mice and rats to use in diet or diabetes test studies.

No strain of rat or mice is naturally obese, so the scientists have to create them. They make these morbidly obese creatures by injecting them with a chemical when they are first born. The MSG triples the amount of insulin the pancreas creates, causing rats (and humans?) to become obese They even have a title for the race of fat rodents they create: "MSG-Treated Rats"

Did you see that? No strain of mice is naturally obese but they make them fat by using MSG.

My strongest advice is to go through your cupboards and yes, your spice drawer and throw away everything with any MSG in it look for anything with the following names because MSG hides under other aliases:

Monosodium Glutamate
Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein Hydrolyzed Protein
Hydrolyzed Plant Extract
Plant Protein Extract
Sodium Caseinate
Yeast Extract
Texturized Protein
Autolyzed Yeast
Hydrolyzed Oat Flour
Calcium Caseinate
Additives that Frequently Contain MSG:

Malt Extract
Bouillon
Stock
Natural Flavoring Seasonings
Malt Flavoring
Broth Flavoring
Natural Beef or Chicken Flavoring
Spices

I found it in my favorite low salt seasoning: Lemon Pepper, sigh, I guess I'll just have to just use my own seasoning instead: Katy's essence another advantage of summer.

Recommended reading The slow poisoning of America, by John E. Erb and T. Michelle Erb.

The three best things you can do for yourself are:
-Eat lots of fresh, uncooked vegetables and fruits for all their enzymatic goodness on the allkalizing foods list
-do NOT eat anything with MSG in it and
-Take CellPower™ to accelerate the healing process.

I find that since I've been taking CellPower™ I am getting well from so many problems I've had.

people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?"

The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."
Rebecca- age 8

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.
You just know that your name is safe in their mouth."
Billy - age 4

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."
Karl - age 5

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs."
Chrissy - age 6

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."
Terri - age 4

"Love is when my Mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK."
Danny - age 7

"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss"
Emily - age 8

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."
Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,"
Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday."
Noelle - age 7

"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well."
Tommy - age 6

"During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling.
He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore."

Cindy - age 8

"My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night."
Clare - age 6

"Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken."

Elaine-age 5

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford." Chris - age 7

"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day"
Mary Ann - age 4

"I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones."
Lauren - age 4

"When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you." (what an image)

Karen - age 7

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross."
Mark - age 6

"You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget."
Jessica - age 8

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge.

The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry"

WHAT ENZYMES DO FOR US

Even freezing foods damages the enzymatic content of foods, imagine if you will what cooking them does?

There are enzymes in all foods, but since we cook them all the enzymes die.

Why do we need enzymes? What do they do?

(1)
Enzymes fall into one of three major classifications. The largest is the metabolic enzymes which play a role in all bodily processes including breathing, talking, moving, thinking, behavior and maintenance of the immune system. A subset of these metabolic enzymes acts to neutralize poisons and carcinogens such as pollutants, DDT and tobacco smoke, changing them into less toxic forms that the body can eliminate. The second category is the digestive enzymes, of which there are about 22 in number. Most of these are manufactured by the pancreas. They are secreted by glands in the duodenum (a valve that separates the stomach from the small intestine) and work to break down the bulk of partially digested food leaving the stomach.

The enzymes we need to consider when planning our diets are the third category, the food enzymes. These are present in raw foods and they initiate the process of digestion in the mouth and upper stomach. Food enzymes include proteases for digesting protein, lipases for digesting fats and amylases for digesting carbohydrates. Amylases in saliva contribute to the digestion of carbohydrates while they are being chewed, and all enzymes found in food continue this process while it rests in the upper or cardiac portion of the stomach. The upper stomach secretes no digestive juices whatsoever, but acts much like the crop of a bird or the first stomach of ruminant animals. It can be described as a holding tank where the enzymes present in raw foods do their work on what we have eaten before this more or less partially digested mass passes on to the lower stomach, about 30 minutes after food is ingested. Hydrochloric acid secretion occurs only in the lower stomach and is stimulated by the passage of food from the upper to lower stomach. (This hydrochloric acid does not digest meat, as is commonly believed, but activates the enzyme pepsinogen to its active form pepsin that digests protein.)

Our body manufaxctures enzymes but have great difficulty doing that if we are not consuming any enzymes. Oh sure you can rock on for a few years, decades even on the rare salad or some occasional crudites served at a party but not enough over the long haul will truely take it's toll. In fact consumption of exclusively cooked foods will put a severe strain on the pancreas where the insulin is manufactured.

There is the proof that our diet CAUSES diabetes.

(2)

DIGESTION AND G.I. TRACT
PROBLEMS OF ALL KINDS
Digest your food right for the first time in your life. The missing nutrient [enzymes] treats the real, underlying problem and often cures suffering
victims once and for all. Many patients report instant, miraculous relief. Food allergies go away for good and you can eat anything!... a delighted heartburn victim was able to cancel surgery, and a baby’s colic
vanished in one day.

This is good news. I'm taking CellPower™ to get many enzymes essential to health, and I'm also taking a special enzyme formula from
who have great prices and products I trust manufactured in the US.

Autism and arthrites, Diabetes and Cancer, pain and Heart disease are all enzyme deficiency diseases.

What have you got to lose? Try a diet that includes 1/3 raw foods and you'll find out it's true. You've heard about the miracles that happen when someone sent home to die of cancer by a Physician, goes to one of the alternative healing centers? They are given all fresh fruits and vegetables, whole and juiced and soon are walking out healed and hearty, busting with health.

Is that what you want or do you want to stay sick? Choose.

something a bit different today---
The 30 Second Quiz

Don't bother getting a pen and paper... just read... if you can't answer them, just keep going.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.

2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.

3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America contest.

4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer prize.

5. Name the last five Academy Award winners for Best Actor and Actress.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remembers the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They're the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Now here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. Name three teachers who aided your journey through school.

2. Name three friends who helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worth while.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

Easier? The lesson?

The people who make a difference in your life aren't the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They're the ones who care.

"Oh no! I just lost my Rolex."

"Oops! Hey, has anyone ever survived 500ml of this stuff before?"

"Darn, there go the lights again...."

"Ya know, there's big money in kidneys. Heck, the guy's got two of 'em."

"Everybody stand back! I lost my contact lens!"

"Could you stop that thing from beating? It's throwing off my concentration."

"What's this doing here?"

"That's cool! Now can you make his leg twitch?"

"I wish I hadn't forgotten my glasses."

"Well, folks, this will be an experiment for all of us."

"Sterile, shcmerile. The floor's clean, right?"

"What do you mean, he wasn't in for a sex change?"

"Anyone see where I left that scalpel?"

"And now we remove the subject's brain and place it in the body of the ape."

"Ok. Now take a picture from this angle. This is truly a freak of nature."

"This patient has already had some kids, right?"

"Don't worry. I think this is sharp enough."

IMPORTANT INFORMATION WE ALL NEED-VARIOUS

First, the chat is fixed, finally! PEASE FEEL FREE TO GIVE ME YOUR FEEDBACK.

You know I've really been pushing the information on body pH. see: pH and Diabetes and pH crises.

Well there is more; lots more, I've been telling you how dangerous MSG is: What's so exciting about MSG an article about excito-toxins that kill your brain cells. I've found out that eating things with MSG in it or any other of the excito-toxins like Aspartame... will put the body in a condition that INVITES Diabetes and other diseases, it actually, like sugar, feeds cancers and asthma!!!!!!! see:(1)food and health this site will give you lots of information, just so you won't think I'm just a nutcase spouting my personal opinion here folks.

You ever have a hangover? Well a hangover is the alcohol killing off brain cells, Guess what? MSG produces that same awful headache and why? You guessed it it's just killed off your precious brain cells.

I'm not through, there is so much research on all the sites I just gave you, I won't belabor the points on MSG and Aspartame anymore, read them for yourself

I HAVE MORE NEWS!

ENZYMES, we simply don't get any with our great convenience foods because it's all pasteurized, pulverized, genetically modified, processed, homogenized and just simply cooked to death and there are NO enzymes left!

Why do we need enzymes?

Amylase Deficiency:
Amylase digests carbohydrates (converts them to sugars) along with dead white blood cells. When you are low in amylase you are a candidate for blood sugar imbalances, Hypoglycemia, Type II Diabetes, carbohydrate cravings and allergies. Amylase is also involved in anti-inflammatory reactions such as those caused by the release of histamine and similar substances. Asthma and emphysema may also be exacerbated by an amylase deficiency.

And we are getting no, zero, none in the way of enzymes in our foods. Fortunately I'm taking CellPower™ so I'm getting lots of enzymes in that.

I used this source because all the information was in an easily copy and paste mode but I'm reading a great book on enzymes called The Missing Ingredient For Good Health by Lee Uler.

He says we can take handfulls of antioxidants and still be very sick. When a person has been poked, prodded, carved upon, drugged up and nearly destroyed by drugs by Physicians and they've decided it's time for the patiient to die, that patient goes to a cancer center or other alternative health clinic they are then treated with what? Foods, whole uncooked foods and enzyme supplements and then they get well, over and over and over this happens, they just get well and THIS IS AFTER THE DOCTORS SAY THEY ARE JUST GOING TO DIE, PERIOD.

If this information isn't something to get excited about I don't know what is. Pain, Digestive troubles like Leaky-gut and IBS,Gas,constipation etc., heart/circulation problems, cancers, Diabetes and Autism, are all affected adversely by lack of Enzymes. We all need them and supplementing only makes sense!

I am on a crusade people I want everyone to get well, to live in not just ok health but robust, vigorous health, bursting with well-being as our creator intended us to be in.

I'm doing that with CellPower™

You can do it anyway you want.

More Suthen-ism's:
Only a Southerner knows the difference between a hissie fit and a conniption fit, and that you don't "HAVE" them, you "PITCH" them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only a Southerner knows how many fish, collard greens, turnip greens, peas, beans, etc., make up "a mess."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only a Southerner can show or point out to you the general direction of "yonder."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only a Southerner knows exactly how long "directly" is, .. as in: "Going to town, be back directly."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Even Southern babies know that "Gimme some sugar" is not a request for the white, granular sweet substance that sits in a pretty little bowl in the middle of the table.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All Southerners know exactly when "by and by" is. They might not use the term, but they know the concept well.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only a Southerner knows instinctively that the best gesture of solace for a neighbor who's got trouble is a plate of hot fried chicken and a big bowl of cold potato salad. If the neighbor's trouble is a real crisis, they also know to add a large banana puddin!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only Southerners grow up knowing the difference between "right near" and "a right far piece." They also know that "just down the road" can be 1 mile or 20.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only a Southerner, both knows and understands, the difference between a redneck, a good ol' boy, and po' white trash.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No true Southerner would ever assume that the car with the flashing turn signal is actually going to make a turn.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Southerner knows that "fixin" can be used as a noun, a verb, or an adverb.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only Southerners make friends while standing in lines, ... and when we're "in line," . we talk to everybody!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Put 100 Southerners in a room and half of them will discover they're related, even if only by marriage.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the South, y'all is singular, all y'all is plural.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Southerners know grits come from corn and how to eat them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Every Southerner knows tomatoes with eggs, bacon, grits, and coffee are perfectly wonderful; that red eye gravy is also a breakfast food; and that fried green tomatoes are not a breakfast food.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When you hear someone say, "Well, I caught myself lookin'," you know you are in the presence of a genuine Southerner!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only true Southerners say "sweet tea" and "sweet milk." Sweet tea indicates the need for sugar and lots of it -- we do not like our tea unsweetened. "Sweet milk" means you don't want buttermilk.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And a true Southerner knows you don't scream obscenities at little old ladies who drive 30 MPH on the freeway. You just say,"Bless her heart" ... and go your own way.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To those of you who are still a little embarrassed by your Southerness: Take two tent revivals and a dose of sausage gravy and call me in the morning. Bless your heart!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And to those of you who are still having a hard time understanding all this Southern stuff, ... bless your hearts, I hear they are fixin' to have classes on Southernness as a second language!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And for those that are not from the South but have lived here for a long time, all y'all need a sign to hang on y'alls front porch that reads "I ain't from the South, but I got here as fast as I could."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Southern girls know men may come and go, but friends are fahevah !

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now...... Shugah, send this to someone who was raised in the South or wish they had been!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you're a Northern transplant, Bless your little heart, fake it.
We know you got here as fast as you could.

CAROTENOIDS~BENEFITS TO HEALTH

Here are some different carotenoids, you know what they are; (1)Carotenoids are a class of natural fat-soluble pigments found principally in plants, algae, and photosynthetic bacteria, where they play a critical role in the photosynthetic process.

Here are some different classes of carotenoids
Zeaxanthin
Lutein
Beta-cryptoxanthin
Lycopene
Alpha-carotene
Trans-beta-carotene
Cis-beta-carotene

Studies have shown that low levels of Zeaxanthin and Lutein in elderly patients and have suggested a link between loss of cognitive ability and low ingestion of tomatoes and Mangoes.

To age gracefully I suggest you eat plenty of both. We all have heard of the link showing that there is a low-incidence of cancer in those who eat plenty of foods high in Lutein.

I love tomatoes and yes they have some sugar in them and yes, I'm diabetic, but I'm at the point where I'm barely diabetic, I take so little insulin and even after eating my blood sugar levels are still inside the diabetic normal range.

The problem with diabetes, I know this is a digression but bear with me here, is that the foods with the goodnesses [vits and minerals, and fiber] in them are not allowed. For instanvce they tell you to eat lots of fiber, now what's a lot? We are all supposed to eat between 12-15 grams per day, leet's see that three cups of spinach, 1 cup of brocolli, and a large apple, add a tablespoon of psyllium to water before bed and you're all set. So, a lot would be more, Now I'm not including the best sources of fiber-breads etc. because they are non-diabetic foods. So, how does the diabetic eat more of this and not eat too much?

Ok, so we are reasonably healthy and want to stay that way. We definately want to eat carotenoids: (2)"Sources include liver, whole milk, and some fortified food products. Retinol can be made into retinal and retinoic acid (other active forms of vitamin A) in the body."

Some provitamin A carotenoids have been shown to function as antioxidants in laboratory studies; however, this role has not been consistently demonstrated in humans. Antioxidants protect cells from free radicals, which are potentially damaging by-products of oxygen metabolism that may contribute to the development of some chronic diseases.

(3)Zeaxanthin has been shown to reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration
zeaxanthin is most plentiful in yellow corn, orange pepper, squash, mango, honeydew, broccoli, and egg yolks.

lycopene (which gives tomatoes, watermelons and pink grapefruit their red color) has turned into something of a media darling, mostly due to studies that have shown this carotenoid to offer protection against breast, prostate, and pancreatic cancers, as well as heart disease.

USDA study revealed that three cups of diced watermelon, taken daily, may result in blood serum lycopene and beta-carotene concentrations that are five times higher than in people who don't get a good intake of fresh fruits and vegetables. If you don't want the watermelon juice; put some heat under a tomato. Studies have shown that the body absorbs lycopene from tomatoes more efficiently when tomato dishes are heated. Also I have read that canning tomatoes doesn't significantly affect the goodnesses in tomatoes and tomato juice. Also if you cook the tomatoes with a bit of fat like cheese or meat it will increase it's absorbtion as well. Welsh Rarebit anyone?

I find that since I've been taking CellPower™ I am getting well from so many problems I've had. I do eat lots of veggies and fruits now, I think my increases interest in them is a 'side effect of taking cellpower and my atitude, I just seem to be upbeat and happy all the time, and this is from someone who has a predisposition for suicidal depression.

PARAFFIN/FRAGRANCES IN OUR AIR

Aroma therapy, isn't that a great way to get healthy? NOT

(1)

Paraffin wax... is made from petroleum and produces carcinogens and soot when burned. In fact, one air quality researcher stated that the soot from a paraffin candle contains many of the same toxins produced by burning diesel fuel. Even many of the seemingly healthy, aromatherapy candles sold today can do more harm than good."

In the midst of the comfort we get from the heat, the dancing flame and pleasant aroma few realize
(2)
"...that most candles fill the room with something else as well…toxic, carcinogenic smoke and soot. In fact, burning paraffin candles releases many of the same toxins as diesel fuel.

This is not surprising when one considers the process of making paraffin wax. It begins at the bottom of the oil barrel, the worst 5% or so rejected by the gasoline industry. This by-product of crude oil refinement is then mixed with another less-than-enticing substance; industrial strength bleach. This is what gives wax its familiar pleasant whiteness. Now add stearic acid and a few other minor ingredients, and you have the very wax burning in your homes.

Most who become aware of the harmful toxins released by paraffin do not want to expose their families to it anymore, but know little or nothing about alternative waxes. If they know anything at all about other waxes, it is probably that most, such as beeswax, are quite expensive by comparison."

These toxins we bring into our environment all on our own; but all fragrances contain toxins that pollutes our precious atmosphere. This same life-sustaining air we must all breathe is being polluted everyday by common products we all use.

I'm going to paraphrase the next part because otherwise I'd be quoting the entire site, I'm leaving a lot out so please read the cited source, so here goes:

ACETONE~found in;cologne, dishwashing liquid and detergent, nail enamel remover--Inhalation can cause dryness of the mouth and throat; dizziness, nausea, incoordination, slurred speech, drowsiness, and, in severe exposures, coma, acts primarily on the central nervous system as a depressant. I can actually taste this when I've used it to remove nail polish or to remove paint on my skin.

BENZALDEHYDE~ found in; perfume, cologne, hairspray, laundry bleach, deodorants, detergent, vaseline lotion, shaving cream, shampoo, bar soap, dishwasher detergent, Narcotic. Sensitizer. Local anesthetic, central nervous system depressant, irritation to the mouth, throat, eyes, skin, lungs, and GI tract, causing nausea and abdominal pain, May cause kidney damage. Do not use with contact lenses.

ETHANOL~found in; perfume, hairspray, shampoo, fabric softener, dishwashing liquid and detergent, laundry detergent, shaving cream, soap, vaseline lotion, air fresheners, nail color and remover, paint and varnish remover, it is On EPA Hazardous Waste list, causes:fatigue, irritating to eyes and upper respiratory tract even in low concentrations,Inhalation of ethanol vapors can have effects similar to those characteristic of ingestion[so wearing it is like drinking it]: drowsiness, impaired vision, ataxia, stupor. Supresses the central nervous system.

LIMONENE~found in;perfume, cologne, disinfectant spray, bar soap, shaving cream, deodorants, nail color and remover, fabric softener, dishwashing liquid, air fresheners, after shave, bleach, paint and varnish remover,It is Carcinogenic. Prevent its contact with skin or eyes because it is an irritant and sensitizer. Always wash thoroughly after using this material and before eating, drinking, ...applying cosmetics. Do not inhale limonene vapor. Hey, a fragrance you are not supposed to inhale.

Is anyone out there? Does anyone read this stuff? It's out there and we wonder where SIDS comes from while filling our homes with poisons...A simple search brings this stuff up, I'm not some arcane searcher finding hidden things... this is so obvious anyway, I can't believe people can do this to themselves. I've had help though; I lost my sense of smell sometime back and what has come back has not been anything like what it was, All perfumes have a noxious chemical smell for me now, all things with fragrance in them smell exactly the same, hairspray, shampoo, laundry soap, air fresheners, dish soaps, all of it, except ones that are not harmful. Oh by the way, I have White Diamonds, Red, and Ester Lauder's Beautiful and White Linen, all smell like chemicals and they are all the real deal, no knockoffs.

It's time to make a choice, Choose more natural alternatives without the harsh and dangerous chemicals, eat better, more natural foods, cook them yourselves, breathe in clean air, and get some CellPower™ to help you heal up from the shocks we get on our bodies from all the unnatural things we are subjected to.

There is hope, we can keep the problems at bay and even heal up. We can be proactive in the face of a toxic world.

I find that since I've been taking CellPower™ I am getting well from so many problems I've had.

There was once a young man who, in his youth, professed his desire to become a great writer.

When asked to define "great" he said, "I want to write stuff that the whole world will read, stuff that people will react to on a truly emotional level, stuff that will make them scream, cry, howl in pain and anger!"

He now writes error messages for Microsoft Corporation.

"If automotive technology had kept pace with computer technology over the past few decades,” boasts Gates, "you would now be driving a V-32 instead of a V-8, and it would have a top speed of 10,000 miles per hour.

Or, you could have an economy car that weighs 30 pounds and gets a thousand miles to a gallon of gas. In either case, the sticker price of a new car would be less than $50."

"Sure,” says the General Motors CEO. "But would you really want to drive a car that crashes four times a day?!!"

A programmer was crossing a road one day when a frog called out to him and said, "If you kiss me, I'll turn into a beautiful princess."

He bent over, picked up the frog and put it in his pocket. The frog spoke up again and said, "If you kiss me and turn me back into a beautiful princess, I will stay with you for one week."

The programmer took the frog out of his pocket, smiled at it and returned it to the pocket. The frog then cried out, "If you kiss me and turn me back into a princess, I'll stay with you and do anything you want." Again the programmer took the frog out, smiled at it and put it back into his pocket.

Finally, the frog asked, "What is the matter? I've told you I'm a beautiful princess that I'll stay with you for a week and do anything you want. Why won't you kiss me?"

The programmer said, "Look, I'm a programmer. I don't have time for a girlfriend -- but a talking frog, now that's cool!"

THE DANGERS OF CHLORINE-DIOXIN

Chlorine rarely occurs naturaly, but when it does it's a yellow gas. It is made for commercial use by running an electric current through salt water, producing Chlorine and caustic soda. You'd think that it'd be easy to dispose to break down into harmless salt and water, but it but it can only be done in a test tube. It actually accumulates in the environment and stay in a caustic state.

It cleans our clothes and whitens our paper napkins and coffee filters and it is a good thing, right?

(1)
"One of the largest uses of chlorine is in the paper industry. Chlorine is first used to break down the lignan that holds the wood fibers together. Then chlorine is used to bleach the paper to make it white. The effluent or wastewater containing dioxins and other organochlorines are then dumped into streams and waterways. These ingredients are highly toxic and carcinogenic. Once in the waste stream, they come into contact with other organic materials and surfactants and combine to forn a host of extremely toxic organic chemicals.

A chain of events occurs: The water becomes polluted; the fish become contaminated; animals eat the fish and people eat the contaminated animals and fish. This can create a very serious health problem; the dioxins and other toxic chemicals, when consumed, accumulate in the fatty tissues. These contaminants are also hormone disrupters because they mimic estrogen. The EPA has observed and documented hormonal imbalance, suppressed immune systems, reproductive infertility and alterations in fetal development of animals. In viewing the big picture, these factors are perhaps the most frightening results from the widespread use of chlorine"

In fact dioxin is so prevalent in our environment that it would be difficult to find a human being without some in their blood. We have special enzymes in our bodies to eliminate toxins but in this case t'ain't so. Even exposed to very low levels it will remain in the body and accumulate. (1) The cumulative effects of dioxin in humans have been linked to birth defects, cancer, endometriosis, diabetes, neurotoxicity, birth defects, decreased fertility, and reproductive dysfunction in both women and men and immune system breakdown.

EVERY TIME YOU USE TOILET PAPER, WIPE YOUR LIPS WITH A PAPER NAPKIN, EAT OFF A PAPER PLATE, WASH YOUR UNDIES IN BLEACH, WRITE ON WHITE PAPER YOU ARE TAKING IN DIOXINS.

The very best one can do is maintain a vigorous good health so as to fight off whatever harmful effects it can have on your health. The best way to gain this vigorous good health is to take CellPower™ every day in a nice clean glass of water [use distilled or reverse-osmosis filtered water] or juice.

Our Government maintains that chlorine in our water supply is safe, but it isn't. I'd be really careful about drinking juice that might be reconstituted with tap water also.

We have well water and I'm so glad, but even so we buy highly filtered water from the grocery store, it is charcoal filtered and also uses a reverse osmosis process to eliminate all foreign agents, both pathogenic and chemical.

And Hey, there is a better way to wipe away pathogens. H202-hydrogen peroxide. Yup good old Hydrogen peroxide. It has many uses but it's best as an antibiotic. I use it on my hands rather than washing them with soap, I've noticed that my hands are softer, less dry and I don't worry about chemicals leaching into my skin or any bacteria or fungus.

How Smart Is Your Right Foot?

This is so funny that it will boggle your mind. And, you will keep trying it at least 50 more times to see if you can outsmart your foot. But you can't!!!

1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles with it.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand ... Your foot will change direction!!!

I told you so ... And there is nothing you can do about it. Make sure you pass this on to your friends ... They won't be able to believe it either!!!

A guy has one arm and decides he doesn't want to go on with life, not being able to do the things other guys can do with two arms. So, he goes up to the 20th story of a building and is trying to build up the nerve to jump. As he's standing there a guy comes walking on the sidewalk below.

The one-armed man notice's that this other guy has NO arms at all. He watches as the guy stops on the sidewalk and starts dancing and spinning in circles. The one-armed man thinks to himself how selfish he is… in that he has one arm and is ready to end it all! So, he decides to go down and talk to the No-armed man.

He goes down and walks up to the guy and says, “Hey man… I’ve been up on the 20th floor considering to end it all because I have only One arm… Here you are with No arms and are dancing around. What’s your deal?

The guy with No arms says, “Arrrrr… dude I'm NOT happy! My nose itches!!!

Moral: Think Differently. If you got no arms, get a friend to scratch your nose
