************THE DIABETIC VITAMIN**********
(1)
The one vitamin no diabetic should be without
Diabetics are plagued with health problems resulting from damage to their kidneys, retinas, and the nerves in their arms and legs—and it could all boil down to a deficiency in one vital nutrient: vitamin B1.
Vitamin B1, also known as thiamin, is essential for maintaining a healthy nervous system. And according to a recent study, diabetics are in short supply. The problem is, loading up on thiamin-rich foods, such as navy beans, spinach, and peas, doesn't do diabetics a darn bit of good.
In this study, researchers discovered that the concentration of thiamin in blood plasma was decreased 76 percent for type 1 diabetics and 75 percent in type 2 patients. But the problem wasn't caused by a lack of thiamin-rich foods in the diet. Instead, the researchers found that diabetics excrete thiamin from through the urine at a rate 15 times greater than normal.
So if eating more thiamin-rich foods won't help, how about oral thiamin supplements? Well, they're no good, either. Since thiamin is a water-soluble vitamin, whatever your body doesn't take up will get excreted in the urine.
The good news is that there is a fat a fat-soluble form of thiamin, called benfotiamine, which does not have this problem. Nutrition-savvy doctors and patients with diabetes frequently use this form to get vitamin B1 levels back to where they belong.
Benfotiamine is used to treat diabetic neuropathy, which is painful nerve damage. Most studies on benfotiamine for diabetics use 150 mg twice per day, although you can use as little as 80 mg a few times per week and still enjoy some benefit. By the same token, doses of up to 1,200 mg per day have been used to treat more severe case of diabetic neuropathy.
Many nutritional doctors work with specialty supplement companies that offer high-quality benfotiamine, and many special combination supplements that are designed specifically for diabetics will include benfotiamine.

So says Dr. Alan Inglis in his newsletter from his website called House Calls

Worth a try isn't it, afterall it is a vitamin, I could probaby use more nutrition considering our poor [at best/dangerous at worst] food supply.

What is said elsewhere on this normally water soluble, but in this case fat-soluble one.

According to About.com:

(2)
Benfotiamine is a man-made form of thiamine or B1. Thiamine is a water-soluble vitamin and therefore not as easily used by the body. Benfotiamine is a fat-soluble composition and is better absorbed and utilized. There has been some evidence that benfotiamine may help relieve the severity of diabetic complications such as retinopathy, nephropathy and neuropathy

According to MEDINFO-MEDICAL INFORMATION AND HEALTH DIRECTORY
(3)
The term “miracle” has been in use for hundreds of years when it comes to products that are claimed to aid health. Does this mean that it’s always false? Not necessarily. Occasionally a seemingly “new” product will enter the spotlight and draw the attention of the public. Often, after a series of tests and trials, these products fade into oblivion because they didn’t actually perform in the ways purported. There are exceptions to this rule; as with the supplement benfotiamine.
Benfotiamine is a natural solution to many problems in the human body. This product is one of nature’s best sources of thiamine; or B-1. The FDA has approved this additive as a dietary supplement. Vitamin B-1 is a necessary substance in the body because it maximizes the results of your carbohydrate intake. It also helps with stress, improves your mental health and strengthens your general nervous system.
Benfotiamine is commonly found in trace amounts within such substances as roasted garlic, onions, leeks and shallots. Many years ago, a Japanese pharmaceutical company attempted to bring attention to this substance. Unfortunately, their efforts gained little traction. Recently, a physician produced a published article detailing the benefits of benfotiamine and since then the product has rapidly gained popularity.
This product has been tested for individuals with conditions pertaining to diabetes, but the full scope of clinical testing does not end there. Benfotiamine has been tested for decades for its effects and capabilities in helping all types of conditions.
For those with diabetes, this substance has been reported to alleviate sciatica as well as improve general cellular and circulation health. Neuropathy is a painful condition encountered by individuals with diabetes. There are several other related conditions that have all responded well to this supplement.
This supplement has helped many with diabetes, but also helps those without it. This supplement has also been reported to have benefits for: nerve health, improved blood pressure, fibromyalgia and has been used in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. It has been suggested that benfotiamine contains many anti-aging properties that help the body.
Vitamin B-1 is reported to combat motion sickness. It helps in the treatment of the painful condition known as “shingles,” helps lessen post-operative dental pain and even repels biting insects. B-1 is found naturally in many products including whole wheat foods, dairy products, peanuts, oatmeal and rice husks.
Benfotiamine has no known interactions with prescription medications and, in turn, helps replenish the body with thiamine. There are some prescription drugs that will cause a B-1 deficiency if no supplements are taken.

I ordered mine from www.swansonvitamins.com a great company who doesn't pay me a dime if you buy from them.

remember as a diabetic or just any human being you need plenty of fresh water try this great self-purifying water bottle:
pure-go filtering water bottles

In the meantime, I'm working on my health and I'm taking Thyromine, it has Adrenal Powder from Bovine, ginger, Guglipid, Nori, Piper Longu, Thyroid Powder From Bovine, and L-Tyrosine. You can check out the website to see what each ingredient does. It starts at $39.95 for a month's supply.
I'm also still working to get rid of the diabetes so I'm taking:
CellPower™ because for one thing it does have lots of digestive enzymes in it, also it helps to balance the pH levels and is antibiotic, anti-viral-and anti-fungal AND IT PACKS THE CELLS WITH LIFE-GIVING OXYGEN, AND ENERGY. And:SELENIUMhelps immune system,fights infection and aids circulation
~MAGNESIUMhelps to relax you, aids stress and muscle relaxing
~CHROMIUMimproves insulin sensitivity, and helps lower blood sugar.
~ZINC especially to help you heal.
I also eat, one of the best fats for the Omega-3~6 balance and losing weight.

There once was a woman who woke up one morning,
looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. “Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today." So she did…and she had a wonderful day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror, and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. "H-M-M," she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today." So she did…and she had a grand day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head. "Well," she said, "today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail." So she did…and she had a fun, fun day. The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head. "YEA!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!"

"Yes it is", said the lawyer, "And what's your third question?"

George Carlin on age.

(Absolutely Brilliant)

IF YOU DON'T READ THIS TO THE VERY END, YOU HAVE LOST A DAY IN YOUR LIFE. AND WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED, DO AS I AM DOING AND SEND IT ON.
~~~
George Carlin's Views on Aging
Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids? If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about aging that you think in fractions.
'How old are you?' 'I'm four and a half!' You're never thirty-six and a half. You're four and a half, going on five! That's the key.
You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.
'How old are you?' 'I'm gonna be 16!' You could be 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life . You become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony . YOU BECOME 21 YESSSS!!!
But then you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk! He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There's no fun now, you're Just a sour-dumpling. What's wrong? What's changed?
You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40. Whoa! Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away. Before you know it, you REACH 50 and your dreams are gone.
But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn't think you would!
So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.
You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!
You get into your 80's and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30 ; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn't end there. Into the 90s, you start going backwards; 'I Was JUST 92.'
Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. 'I'm 100 and a half!'
May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!
HOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them.'
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER :
Life is not mea sured by the number of breaths we take,but by the moments that take our breath away.
NEW DANGER POSED BY HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP
Scientists discover new danger in high fructose corn syrup
(1)
Many people think high-fructose corn syrup is a natural sweetener. And many think it's healthier than regular sugar. It's neither. In fact, this popular sweetener is a man-made sugar made from corn. And we know it can contribute to heart disease, diabetes, and a number of other health problems. But now we're finding out that it's even more dangerous than we thought.
High-fructose corn syrup creates highly reactive compounds that damage tissues and contribute to disease. We call these compounds carbonyls. And doctors typically find high amounts of them in the blood of diabetics. Carbonyls also can cause diabetic complications, such as foot ulcers, neuropathy, and deteriorating eyesight.
A recent study out of Rutgers University found extremely high levels of these nasty carbonyls in soft drinks sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup. Dr. Chi-Tang Ho and his colleagues at Rutgers University believe that a single can of soda sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup has five times more reactive carbonyls than a diabetic adult. And diabetics already have too many carbonyls!
I've talked about the dangers of high-fructose corn syrup before. So you may know that it raises cholesterol and LDL (bad) cholesterol, increases inflammation, and contributes to immune problems. But you may not know how severe the problem is.
High-fructose corn syrup has infiltrated our food supply. It's literally everywhere. Many so-called "fruit" drinks are little more than water, high-fructose corn syrup, and a little fruit juice for flavoring.
Read the labels of the foods you buy and you'll be astonished. It's in everything from breakfast cereals to cough syrups, cottage cheese, yogurt, salad dressings, and ice cream. In fact, it's hard to find a food sweetened with plain old sugar any more. Too bad. Cane sugar doesn't produce carbonyls.
They make high fructose corn syrup by treating cornstarch with enzymes. At least one of these enzymes is genetically modified (GMO). This process turns some of the glucose into fructose. Cornstarch and corn syrup are 100% glucose, which doesn't create carbonyls. But when you turn some of it to fructose, you get unstable molecules that cause problems.
Soft drinks and fruit juices obviously contain more high-fructose corn syrup - and carbonyls - than ketchup and salad dressings. But a small amount in a number of food products adds up. It's time to read labels and choose foods without high-fructose corn syrup. Eliminating trans fats was the first step. Now take the next one.
(2)
In the past, fructose was considered beneficial to diabetics because it is absorbed only 40 percent as quickly as glucose and causes only a modest rise in blood sugar. However, research on other hormonal factors suggests that fructose actually promotes disease more readily than glucose. Glucose is metabolized in every cell in the body but all fructose must be metabolized in the liver. The livers of test animals fed large amounts of fructose develop fatty deposits and cirrhosis, similar to problems that develop in the livers of alcoholics.
Pure fructose contains no enzymes, vitamins or minerals and robs the body of its micronutrient treasures in order to assimilate itself for physiological use. While naturally occurring sugars, as well as sucrose, contain fructose bound to other sugars, high fructose corn syrup contains a good deal of "free" or unbound fructose. Research indicates that this free fructose interferes with the heart’s use of key minerals like magnesium, copper and chromium. Among other consequences, HFCS has been implicated in elevated blood cholesterol levels and the creation of blood clots. It has been found to inhibit the action of white blood cells so that they are unable to defend the body against harmful foreign invaders.
I quit eating any HFCS and GM food, AND processed foods but I do take:
CellPower™
also I'm using:
FLAX SEED OIL for my colon, but of course FLAX SEED OIL is also a great source of omega-3 essential fatty acids.
~MAGNESIUMhelps to relax you, aids stress and muscle relaxing
~CHROMIUMimproves insulin sensitivity, and helps lower blood sugar.
~ZINC every day.
WHERE I WAS, WHERE I AM, WHAT HELPS
I have a friend from when I lived close to Seattle, who is just barely a year older than I am and the last I heard she is in the hospital and she's giving up the fight.
Just last year I felt that sick, I was diabetic, and all my systems were getting compromised one after another, I was so fat there were a lot of things I needed help doing like tying my shoes and some other even more embarrassing help. I hurt so bad and felt so awful all the time, my blood sugar levels were way outta control I could barely sleep and I had no energy. I ate like the oinker I resembled. After working hard to lose weight and get fitter I've lowered my blood sugar levels to rock bottom. I'm in control of my eating, exercising, I no longer live to eat but eat to live.
My diet currently is not that exciting but it is mostly adequate, I still get hungry, to keep my weight down and hopefully lose more? But the truly exciting thing is I'm feeling so much better, I'm busily making clothes and taking in or giving away all the horribly huge things I have in my closet, See as I was so fat I quit caring what I looked like and I chose my clothing, not for style, but simply if they were big enough to hide at least some of the rolls. I can tie my shoes pretty easily now, and my feet aren't nearly as swollen, I have energy and more importantly I have my ambition back, To explain... I not only have the ability to get things done, but have the 'want to' also.
A great side effect of getting well and having a future again is that I'm just happy,
for me this is really something because a big part of my problem is that I've always struggled with deep depression. I was bi-polar also so I know the difference between the euphoria of the high part of the disease and just happy. God delivered me from the bi-polar part.
I started taking CellPower™
cellpower~natural cures,natural alternative medicine,body rescue alkalizing,most alkalizing,alkalizing drops,body ph health<br />natural healing,cell health,oxygenate,cellpower,detoxify, and my weight loss and better eating doctors got a hold of me.
Some of the things I've learned while doing this journal:
~Cinnamon really lowers the blood sugar, but you need to take a lot of it
~taking liver cleanses really help the diabetic person get control of blood glucose
~Glutathione-the master antioxidant is a great helper to counteract many diabetic complications.
~4 essential minerals for diabetics
~SELENIUMhelps immune system,fights infection and aids circulation
~MAGNESIUMhelps to relax you, aids stress and muscle relaxing
~CHROMIUMimproves insulin sensitivity, and helps lower blood sugar.
~ZINC especially to help you heal.
~coconut oil
for the Omega-3~6 balance and losing weight
~Essential fatty acidsfor better health
~FLAX SEED OIL
I've also learned not to eat ANY MSG it puts weight on, seriously! Or any /high Fructose Corn syrup, it also makes the extra poundage gather at the waist.
Mostly though the CellPower™ has given me the power boost towards great health. It properly adjusts the body pH, fights viruses,bacteria, and fungi,helps lower blood pressure, adds enzymes to the body lost from cooking foods. It can help with:Allergies pH imbalances Emphysema Indigestion Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) Kidney infections Chronic fatigue syndrome Skin disorders Bronchial asthma Arthritis and joint pain Short-term memory loss Fibromyalgia Viral, fungal, and bacterial infections Muscle pain Candidiasis, and for me it HAS!
Junior high school students in Chicago were studying the Seven Wonders of the World. At
the end of the lesson, the students were asked to list what they considered to be the Seven
Wonders of the World. Though there was some disagreement, the following received the
most votes:
1. Egypt's Great Pyramids
2. The Taj Mahal in India
3. The Grand Canyonin Arizona
4. The Panama Canal
5. The EmpireState Building
6. St. Peter's Basilica
7. China's Great Wall
While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student, a quiet girl, hadn't turned in her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The quiet girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many." The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help."
The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the Seven Wonders of the World are:
1. to touch...
2. to taste...
3. to see...
4. to hear... (She hesitated a little, and then added...)
5. to feel...
6. to laugh...
7. and to love.
The room was so quiet, you could have heard a pin drop.
May this story serve as a gentle reminder to all of us that the things we overlook as simple and ordinary are often the most wonderful - and we don't have to travel anywhere special to experience them.
REVERSING DIABETES- PAIN from sugar
They, you know the ubiquitous 'them', as in us and them, say that Diabetes is irreversible. But many many people have done it, their blood glucose levels stay normal Day after day, even right after meals, they are not starving, but eat a normal diet. So what do you call that? If that's not a cure I don't know what is....
I am planning to be one of the people who are no longer anticipating the degenerative effects of diabetes. I'm getting healthier. I could tell you but you probably wouldn't believe me, Ok I will... I think the biggest boost I've had is in my mood. I'm just happy, I can't tell you how that happened but it has, I've fought a predisposition for depression all my life, being suicidal for nearly 45 years straight...This JOY is a recent development, It's been within the last four weeks. I have been taking CellPower™ for a few months now, the first thing I noticed; and it was right away, was that I had lots more energy and I was sleeping better. Then, as I saw my pH beginning to normalize I was seeing my blood glucose levels leveling out more, my weight is still going down, and I'm finding I'm in so much less pain. Then inexplicably, possibly it's from the relief I feel from getting healthier, I can't stop smiling.
NERVE DAMAGE IN DIABETES called diabetic neuropathy?
(1)
The symptoms of peripheral neuropathy include:
-numbness and loss of feeling (usually first in the feet or hands)
-slower reflexes
-pain varying from minor discomfort or tingling sensations in fingers and toes to -severe pain; pain may be sharp or lightning like, deep aches that make sleep or daily activities difficult, or sensitive skin that responds to the slightest touch
-weak muscles.
(2)
What is Diabetic Nerve Pain?
Diabetic nerve pain is a problem that some people with diabetes have. This condition is also called painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
Peripheral (per-IF-er-al) refers to the parts of the body that are farthest away from the center of your body like your arms, legs, fingers and toes
Neuropathy (Nur-AH-pa-thee) means damage to the nerves
Diabetic nerve pain occurs most often when people have blood sugar levels that are too high for too long. These high blood sugar levels can cause nerve damage in many parts of the body, including:feet and legs~hands and arms
I have/had all those symptoms, I still get stabbing pains in my toes, but all in all~ those symptoms have receded, I only get the stabbing pains when I eat sugar, not from fruit sugars either just from white sugar in candies and cookies I find so hard to resist. So I'm going out on a limb here and say, if you have diabetic neuropathy try staying completely away from white sugar. I knew a man years ago who said he had to eliminate sugar from his diet because it caused him pain. And He wasn't Diabetic.
(3)
Mood affects pain. It does not seem as severe if we remain calm and avoid becoming anxious or depressed. Many techniques taught at childbirth classes are based on this approach of facing pain with calmness.
The higher your blood sugar is the less able your are to tolerate pain, according to research at the University of Minnesota College of Medicine, published in the American Journal of Medicine 77:79. Since DIABETICS must be vigilant to keep their blood-sugar levels low, this is an especially important discovery for them. Generally, diabetics were found to have a lower tolerance for pain than non-diabetics.
(4)
People who are sugar-sensitive have naturally low levels of serotonin. As a result, they do not have good impulse control. It is almost impossible for them to "just say no" because there is such a short time between their getting the urge to do something and their doing it. This is why no matter how many times you vow to stick with a diet, you are not able to. The insufficient serotonin level in your brain isn't giving you the time you need to make good decisions.
Besides being impulsive, people with low levels of serotonin may feel depressed and find themselves craving foods such as bread, pasta or candy. This craving is the work of your brain, not your ego, because your brain knows that getting you to eat such foods -- which are all simple carbohydrates -- will temporarily raise your serotonin level. Unfortunately, it will also have a devastating boomerang effect and cause all sorts of negative feelings. Having low serotonin can cause these feelings:
-Feeling depressed
-Acting impulsively
-Feeling blocked and scattered
-Having a short attention span
-Feeling suicidal
-Craving sweets and simple carbohydrates
So maybe eating sugar was my problem the depression, the pain, the impulsiveness, feeling blocked and scattered, I am much more focused now, I can remember to do things even if I stop to do something else first, It just has to be that the CellPower™
has helped to raise my seratonin levels, and I no longer crave sweets as much, and the above symptoms are so much lessened also. I just can't recommend this product highly enough. I also place in my prayers each day all the folks who are taking it so that they'll find it helps them as much as it is helping me! I want to be a small part of helping our nation heal to fix our health care problem. I can't help with a broken arm or a head wound except that a healthy body heals so much faster!
THIS ONE IS BAAAD BUT FUNNY
This truck driver hauling a tractor-trailer load of computers stops for a beer. As he approaches the bar he sees a big sign on the door saying "Nerds Not Allowed - Enter At Your Own Risk!" He goes in and sits down. The bartender comes over to him, sniffs, says, "You smell kind of nerdy. What do you do for a living?" The truck driver says, "I drive a truck, and the smell is just from the computers I am hauling." The bartender says, "Okay, truck drivers are not nerds." and serves him a beer. As he is sipping his beer, a skinny guy walks in with tape around his glasses, a pocket protector with twelve kinds of pens and pencils, and a belt at least a foot too long. The bartender, without saying a word, pulls out a shotgun and blows the guy away. The truck driver said, totally shocked, "Why did you do that?" The bartender said, "Not to worry, the nerds are overpopulating Silicon Valley and are in season now. You don't even need a license." The truck driver finishes his beer, gets back in his truck, and heads back onto the freeway. Suddenly he veers to avoid an accident, and the load shifts. The back door breaks open and computers spill out all over the freeway. He jumps out and sees a crowd already forming, grabbing up the computers. They are all engineers, accountants and programmers wearing the nerdiest clothes he has ever seen. He can't let them steal his whole load. So, remembering what happened in the bar, he pulls out his gun and starts blasting away, felling several of them instantly. A highway patrol officer comes zooming up and jumps out of the car screaming at him to stop. The truck driver said, "What's wrong? I thought nerds were in season." "Well, sure," said the patrolman. "But you can't bait 'em."
A man was driving along the highway, and saw a rabbit hopping across the middle of the road. He swerved to avoid hitting the rabbit, but unfortunately the rabbit jumped in front of the car and was hit. The driver, being a sensitive man as well as an animal lover, pulled over to the side of the road and got out to see what had become of the rabbit. Much to his dismay, the rabbit was dead. The driver felt so awful he began to cry. A woman driving down the highway saw the man crying on the side of the road and pulled over. She stepped out of her car and asked the man what was wrong. "I feel terrible," he explained. "I accidentally hit this rabbit and killed it." The woman told the man not to worry. She knew what to do. She went to he car trunk and pulled out a spray can. She walked over to the limp, dead rabbit, and sprayed the contents of the can onto the rabbit. Miraculously, the rabbit came to life, jumped up, waved its paw at the two humans and hopped down the road. 50 meters away the rabbit stopped, turned around, waved at the two again, hopped down the road another 50 meters, turned, waved, and hopped another 50 meters. The man was astonished. He couldn't figure out what substance could be in the woman's spray can! He ran over to the woman and demanded, " What was in your spray can? What did you spray onto that rabbit?" The woman turned the can around so that the man could read the label. It said: " 'Hare Spray' Restores Life to Dead Hare. Adds Permanent Wave."
