**************HEALTH FREEDOM OR TYRANNY**************

Our Health freedoms are coming under attack by the FDA "experts" (the same corrupt officials who re-approved Vioxx after it killed over 50,000 Americans). They say they want to re-classify things like Fruit or vegetable juices, herbs, vitamin supplements, even healing services as "unauthorized" medical treatments, to either raise the prices for these products or to make them illegal to sell. They want to regulate Alternative health and insist that people take pharmaceuticals rather than natural substances. They want more profits for the drug companies.
(1)
The FDA is accepting public comments on the docket until April 30th. They tried to sneak this under the radar, but word got out and now the natural health community is up in arms over this rule. If you wish to protect your access to nutritional supplements, herbs, essential oils, homeopathic medicine or any other "complementary" or "alternative" modality, it is crucial that you take action to post your comments with the FDA right now and write your representatives in Washington to put a stop to this outrageous effort to destroy natural medicine. (And be sure to really write them. Just sending an email has virtually no impact compared to writing a physical letter in your own words.)

See the document for yourself.

Here is an except from that document
(1)
..."biologically based practices" includes, but is not limited to, botanicals, animal-derived extracts, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, amino acids, proteins, prebiotics and probiotics: whole diets, and "functional foods". ...a botanical product intended for use in treating a disease would generally be regulated as a drug." ..."functional foods" may be subject to FDA regulation as foods, dietary supplements, or drugs under the Act.

Translation: All foods, supplements, superfoods and functional foods may be reclassified as drugs by the FDA, then regulated off the market.

You might want to contact the FDA and let them know what you think of the proposed guidelines. Make sure to include the docket # (No. 2006D-0480) with your comments. You can write to them at:

Dockets Management Branch (HFA-305)
5630 Fishers Lane, Rm. 1061
Rockville, MD 20852

There was an online site, but surprise[!] it's been hacked.try this site to contact the FDA concerning this fiasco.

I want to stop right here and post the real cost of pharmaceuticals:
The first item in the list is the name of the drug and the dosage, the second is the cost to the consumer, the third; the actual cost to the drug company for 100 tabs, the last number is the percentage of the mark-up.

Over the years we've heard about the reports that this supplement or that alternative medicine "has been proven unreliable, by scientific testing by the minions of the FDA, then we find out the findings are skewed, or slanted or they used only part of the supplement to test, not the whole plant. They tell us if one person has a difficulty with a single herb, then that herb must be banned, yet thousands have died from Vioxx, [for one..] and it has been put back on the market, and the people going to their doctor are trusting their physician and taking this poisonous drug.

Read what's out there, and decide for yourself but do it quickly because if the FDA has their way there will be no more choice.

As for me and for now I'm taking: CellPower™ because for one thing it does have lots of digestive enzymes in it.

Got Any Grapes
A duck walks into a bar and asks, "Got any grapes?" The bartender, confused, tells the duck that no, his bar doesn't serve grapes. The duck thanks him and leaves.
The next day, the duck returns and says, "Got any grapes?" Again, the bartender tells him that, no, the bar does not serve grapes, has never served grapes, and, furthermore, will never serve grapes. The duck, a little ruffled, thanks him and leaves.
The next day, the duck returns, but before he can say anything, the bartender begins to yell: ''Listen, duck! This is a bar! We do not serve grapes! If you ever ask for grapes again, I will nail your stupid duck beak to the bar!''
The duck is silent for a moment, and then asks, ''Got any nails?''
Confused, the bartenders says no.
''Good!'' says the duck. ''Got any grapes?''

Strontium: Breakthrough Against Osteoporosis
by Ward Dean, MD
Mention strontium to most people, and they will almost always immediately think of strontium-90, a highly dangerous, radioactive component of nuclear fallout produced during atmospheric testing of nuclear weapons in the 1950s. As a result of above-ground nuclear testing, radioactive strontium spread throughout the environment and contaminated dairy products and other foods, and subsequently accumulated in the bones of both children and adults.
The media made us well aware that strontium-90 could cause our bones to become radioactive, causing cancer or some other horrible disease as a result. So, in the minds of many, strontium is a poison to be avoided, just like other toxic metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium and aluminum.
However, stable strontium—meaning nonradioactive—is nontoxic, even when administered in large doses for prolonged periods. It also appears to be one of the most effective substances yet found for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and other bone-related conditions.
Furthermore, repeatedly administering stable strontium can even gradually eliminate radioactive strontium from the body. The stable form slowly replaces the radioactive form in bone, and radioactive strontium is excreted in the urine.

I know we've all purchased Glucosamine chondroitin, and MSN looking for relief, but I hear that Strontium is a farly cheap solution and worth a try, http://betterhealthinternational.com/strontium.asp is one source I found. I'm not affiliated with them and have no knowledge of their products.

PHYTO POWER- MORE ZIP IN YOUR DIET

I get the magazine EXPERIENCE LIFE and with all the buzz about phytonutrients I wanted to bring it to this forum, ELMag just said it best.

(1)
By Alyssa Ford

Nutrients Beyond Number
Golden Ticket to Great Health
Why Food Is Your Best Source
From Allicin to Zeaxanthin: The Phytonutrient Superstars

Many of us are well aware of macronutrients, such as carbohydrates, protein and fat, as well as micronutrients, such as the vitamins and minerals that are listed on FDA-regulated food labels. But too few of us are familiar with phytochemicals — plant-based micronutrients that offer many health benefits and may help ward off chronic diseases, such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease and stroke.

It’s a time-tested truth: Plant-based foods, such as fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts and seeds, are good for you. But researchers recently have discovered that plant molecules connect with human cells in striking ways. In other words, we’ve known they were good for you — just not this good.

“I don’t think there’s been this much excitement since vitamins and minerals were discovered more than 100 years ago,” says Beverly Clevidence, PhD, the research leader at the USDA-funded Food Components and Health Laboratory in Beltsville, Md.

The discoveries — partly because of the work of the Human Genome Project — are revolutionizing the way we think about food.

In the past 20 years, for example, researchers have discovered that carrots, kale and peanuts are not just plant tissues embedded with vitamins and minerals that are easily encapsulated in multivitamins. Rather, these plant tissues are made up of tens of thousands of phytochemicals (“phyto” is from the Greek phuton, meaning plant).

You’ve probably heard of a few phytochemicals without even knowing what they are. For example, lycopene is a powerful phytonutrient found in tomatoes that helps fight heart disease and a variety of cancers. And the phenols found in strawberries protect against cancer and autoimmune diseases, and help reverse nerve-cell aging. But there are tens of thousands of other phytochemicals about which most of us know nothing. Experts in the nutrition field are buzzing about these chemicals with tongue-twisting names like glucoraphanin, zeaxanthin and saponin.

“This is an epic time,” says Jeffrey Bland, PhD, president of MetaProteomics, a nutrition research facility in Gig Harbor, Wash. “Some of the discoveries we’ve made since 2000 are so profound that the textbook companies can’t keep up with the information. There are brand-new nutrition textbooks out there that aren’t slightly wrong about phytonutrients, they’re totally wrong.”

Nutrients Beyond Number (Back to Top)

When scientists first discovered these mysterious chemicals in the early 1950s, they thought they had found new classes of vitamins. Some were even given names, such as “vitamin P” and “vitamin U.” But on the whole, these chemicals were largely ignored.

“We made the assumption that these tens of thousands of molecules were not useful,” says Bland. “They were considered to be flotsam and jetsam. They were refined out of shelf-stable foods with no worry, because they weren’t ‘essential’ nutrients.”

Technically, those early food manufacturers were right. Phytonutrients are “quasi-nutrients” or “conditionally essential,” meaning that their absence in the body does not cause beriberi, rickets or some other type of deficiency disease. Many nutritionists now believe, however, that a phytonutrient deficiency can lead to conditions much worse than mere scurvy — think chronic diseases such as cancer and diabetes.

As our understanding of these chemicals has increased, so has their number.

The original “vitamin P,” for example, is now known as flavonoids — a phytonutrient subclass that includes more than 4,000 chemicals. And the list continues to grow. In addition to the tens of thousands of phytonutrients, Bland says, there are an undetermined number of classes and subclasses.

“It’s so hard to put a number on it,” he explains. “It’s a constantly changing playing field. One day phytochemists think they’ve got it all worked out, and then suddenly they find a whole new family that previously was not recognized.”

The simple hop plant, for example, has more than 1,000 phytonutrients.

Golden Ticket to Great Health (Back to Top)

As the number of known phytochemicals has multiplied, so has the positive research. Scientists have discovered limonoids that detoxify the liver, phytosterols that block the growth of tumors, isoflavones that help destroy uterine cancer cells and polyphenols that restore lagging immune systems.

These chemicals repair and nourish the body in various ways. The phenols found in black and red berries, grapes, and eggplant, for example, discourage the development of cancer by blocking the conversion of precursor molecules into carcinogens. Saponins, found in foods such as alfalfa and legumes, inhibit the growth of cancer cells by interfering with their DNA. And flavonoids, found in citrus fruits, red wine and dark chocolate, inhibit a chemical called estrogen synthase, an enzyme that binds estrogen to the receptors in several organs and that can lead to breast and uterine cancers.

It starts with the same process: Intercellular transduction. That’s a mouthful, but essentially it means that phytonutrients convey information in the body. During the conversion from plant chemical to human-body booster, a phytonutrient will bind to the receptor sites on individual cells. The cell receives a message via a series of enzymes, which then trigger the genes to express specific patterns.

For example, sulforaphane, a phytonutrient found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower and bok choy, helps to boost the body’s detoxification enzymes, which helps us to clear out potentially carcinogenic substances.

Why Food Is Your Best Source (Back to Top)

Eating a diet steeped in fruits, veggies, legumes and other plant-based foods (see “From Allicin to Zeaxanthin: The Phytonutrient Superstars”) is the best way to ensure you’re getting all the phytonutrients your body needs. While there are a growing number of phytonutrient supplements available, many experts warn consumers away from that option.

The big cautionary tale here is beta-carotene. In 1995, it was considered the ultimate panacea. “There was so much good research on beta-carotene,” says David Williams, PhD, a researcher at the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University in Corvallis. “We were charting nice correlations between beta-carotene in the blood and lower cancer risk. Basically everybody just assumed that beta-carotene was chemo-protective.”

But to the shock of many in the scientific community, two major clinical trials in 1996 indicated that beta-carotene supplements were not only useless against cancer, but actually increased the risk of cancer in smokers.

“That was one of the first big disappointments, and it made people rethink the idea of going after individual phytochemicals,” says Williams.

Mark Farnham, PhD, a plant geneticist who specializes in phytonutrient research at a USDA facility in Charleston, S.C., concurs that current scientific consensus is now leaning toward emphasizing whole foods, rather than supplements, because plant chemicals seem to interact with one another in powerful ways. “There seems to be a synergistic effect between the chemicals in food,” he explains, noting also that this synergy is very hard to study because plant-based whole foods contain so many different bioactive compounds that it would be almost impossible to separate and study the potential health benefits of individual phytochemicals.

Plus, each chemical seems to have its own quirks. The carote-noids in collard greens, sweet potatoes and tomatoes, for example, are best absorbed if they are chopped, puréed or cooked, and eaten with a little fat, such as olive oil. But the glucosinolates found in cruciferous vegetables are most effective when eaten in their raw state and thoroughly chewed, so the plant cell walls release more of the cancer-fighting chemical. “There’s really no useful rule, because they’re all unique,” says Clevidence.

So eat as many fruits, veggies and other plant-based foods as you can, and be sure to choose foods from all around the color wheel — from ripe red tomatoes to princely eggplant to vivid oranges.

“If on a daily basis you incorporate at least seven different colors, you are much more likely to get a wide variety of these nutrients that are healing, that prevent degenerative disease, and that will go to work on every ? tissue, cell and organ of the body,” says nutritionist Ann Louise Gittleman, PhD, coauthor of The Fat Flush Plan (McGraw-Hill, 2002).

And don’t be afraid to go exotic with your color choices. Unusually hued foods add intrigue to your plate, and researchers at Washington State University have found that those foods can yield health benefits as well. Their 2006 study showed that wildly colored spuds contained more phytonutrients than white-fleshed potatoes.

If you need more motivation to eat your veggies, start a vegetable plot, and then chow down on the fruits of your labor. A 1991 study published in the Journal of Nutrition Education found that vegetable gardeners ate significantly more eggplant, sweet and hot peppers, summer squashes, tomatoes, and herbs than did nongardeners.

It’s also a smart idea to avoid pesticide- and herbicide-drenched produce by going organic. Last year, Bland completed a survey of some 50 organics-related research reports and found that the vast majority of organic produce supported higher levels of phytonutrients.

If vegetables don’t usually appeal to you, consider taking just one vegetable-centered cooking class. It might make all the difference, according to a 2005 study in the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior. After all, what sounds better: Brussels sprouts, or roasted Brussels sprouts with pine nuts and marjoram?

Ultimately, if your strategy for good health has been limited to popping vitamins, consider what you’re missing: a smorgasbord of beneficial phytonutrients found in wonderful, whole, plant-based foods. Besides, real food has been through the most extensive laboratory experiment ever conducted — natural selection. There’s nothing that’s been proven to nourish our bodies quite so well.

From Allicin to Zeaxanthin: The Phytonutrient Superstars (Back to Top)

There are tens of thousands of phytonutrients within an as-yet-undetermined number of classes and subclasses. Here is a tour of some of the most prominent ones — and a glimpse at how they support our well-being.

****For lack of a table code these should be read as first the ~phytonutrient~ the food sources~ and then help they provide the body.***

~Allicin~ Garlic, onions, jicama~ Eliminating toxins from the body
~Capsaicin~ Cayenne peppers, red peppers~ Preventing toxic molecules from invading cells; reducing inflammation
~Carotenoids~ Carrots, tomatoes, cantaloupe, arugula, spinach, collard greens, kale, mustard greens, Swiss chard, turnip greens, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, pumpkin, red peppers~ Removing damaging free radicals from the cells, slowing macular degeneration, preventing cataracts, repairing DNA and blocking carcinogens from entering cells
~Catechins~ Green and black teas~ Inhibiting the activation of carcinogens
~Ellagic Acid~ Grapes, strawberries, blackberries, cranberries, walnuts~ Preventing cancer
~Genistein~ Tofu, soymilk, soybeans~ Inhibiting the formation of the blood vessels that help tumors grow FOR VARIOUS REASONS I DO NOT RECOMMEND SOY....
~Indoles and Isothiscyanates~ Collard greens, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage~Blocking carcinogens and interfering with the action of a precancerous form of estrogen
~Isoflavones~ Kudzu, soybeans, peas, peanuts, legumes~ Modulating estrogen levels; preventing breast, uterine and prostate cancers; and reducing the risk of heart disease and osteoporosis
~Lignans~ Seeds and grains, especially flaxseed~ Inhibiting excessive estrogen action, and possibly reducing breast, colon and ovarian cancer
~Limonoids~ Citrus fruit peels~ Clearing congestive mucus from the lungs, detoxifying enzymes in the liver, and supporting detoxification of hormones and other substances that cause cellular decay
~Lycopene~ Tomatoes Fighting heart disease and prostate cancer, plus reducing the risk of stomach, lunh and prostate cancers
~Phenols~ Black and red berries, celery, cabbage, grapes, eggplant, peaches, nectarines~ Preventing cancer, blocking specific enzymes that cause autoimmune diseases, protecting against heart attacks and strokes, preventing platelets in the blood from clumping, reversing nerve-cell aging, and destroying hepatoxins, which damage the liver
~Phytosterols~ Pumpkin, rice, soybeans, yams, all green and yellow vegetables~Blocking "bad" cholesterol uptake, reducing inflammation and blocking the growth of tumors
~Polyphenols~ Buckwheat, wheat germ~ Restoring a lagging immune system
~Saponins~ Alfalfa, legumes~ Lowering cholesterol and inhibiting the growth of cancer cells by interfering with their DNA
~Zeaxanthin~ Kale, daikon, collard greens, green sorrel, arugula~ Enhancing immune function and preventing several types of cancer

Although this article seems to imply that cooked veggies are good, don't believe it, raw is best, except for Tomatoes-they hold much of their goodidy goodness when cooked, BUT neither they nor any other veggie is nearly as good if cooked because the enzymes are toast[Pardon the pun].

Also vegetables in processed foods are no longer considered by the body as a recognized food source.

~~~Jokes and Inspiration~~~
The Pope and Hillary Rodham Clinton (HRC) are on the same stage in
front of a huge crowd.
'Her Majesty' and His Holiness, however, have seen it all before, so
to make it a little more interesting, the senator says to the Pope,
'Did you know that with just one little wave of my hand I can make
every Democrat in the crowd go wild?'
He doubts it, so she shows him. Sure enough, the wave elicits rapture and
Cheering from every democrat in the crowd. Gradually, the cheering
subsides.
The Pope, not wanting to be out done by such a level of arrogance,
considers what he could do. 'That was impressive. But did you know
that with just one little wave of MY hand I can make EVERY person in
the crowd go crazy with joy? This joy will not be a momentary display
like that of your subjects, but will go deep into their hearts, and
they will forever speak of this day and rejoice.'
The senator seriously doubts this , and says so. 'One little wave of
your hand and all people will rejoice forever? Show me.'
So the Pope slapped her.
After they filled out the forms, the registration clerk inquired, "What ever possessed you to study Russian?"
The couple said proudly, "We just adopted a Russian baby. In a year or so, when he begins to talk, we want to be able to understand him."
KIDNEY TROUBLES
Before I get started I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in this blog as a newsletter, I can email each new blog entry as it is written and also I plan to expand the scope to reflect more of a contemporary health and nutrition alert newsletter style and natural healing kinds of entries, I'm really needing input so please comment either at webriter@verizon.net, or the chat feature-look to your right-or the comment feature on the bottom of this blog entry.
I originally began to investigate self-healing when I had no medical insurance and needed help, then I found out how dangerous were the practices of Allopathic medicine, not to mention what passes for food in our modern socety, so I studied in earnest how to take control of my own health. I recently heard a friend is having some kidney troubles so today I'm researching how to help control or at least find out the why of this particular illness...She says the doctor told her that although her urine doesn't look like it; she is bleeding from her kidneys[?]. This is not far off from the topic, as Diabetics often suffer from kidney disease, or renal failure. Indeed my friend has relatives with diabetes, so here goes....
Normally Kidney disease is a shutting down of the kidneys and the body is flooded with wastes and all of the problems accompanying that.
(1)
The Facts About Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
~26 million Americans have CKD and another 20 million more are at increased risk.
~Early detection can help prevent the progression of kidney disease to kidney failure.
~Heart disease is the major cause of death for all people with CKD.
~Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is the best estimate of kidney function.
~Hypertension causes CKD and CKD causes hypertension.
~Persistent proteinuria means CKD.
~High risk groups include those with diabetes, hypertension and family history of kidney disease.
~African Americans, Hispanics, Pacific Islanders, Native Americans and Seniors are at increased risk.
~Three simple tests can detect CKD: blood pressure, urine albumin and serum creatinine.
~One in Nine Americans Has Chronic Kidney Disease
~Nearly half of people with an advanced form of kidney disease do not know they have weak or failing kidneys, according to recent research published in the American Journal of Kidney Diseases, the official journal of the National Kidney Foundation
Symptoms of Chronic kidney disease are:
(2)
~Fatigue and weakness (from anemia or accumulation of waste products in the body)
~Loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting
~Need to urinate frequently, especially at night
~Swelling of the legs and puffiness around the eyes (fluid retention)
~Itching, easy bruising, and pale skin (from anemia)
~Headaches, numbness in the feet or hands (peripheral neuropathy), disturbed sleep, altered mental status (encephalopathy from the accumulation of waste products or uremic poisons), and restless legs syndrome
~High blood pressure, chest pain due to pericarditis (inflammation around the heart)
~Shortness of breath from fluid in lungs
~Bleeding (poor blood clotting)
~Bone pain and fractures
~Decreased sexual interest and erectile dysfunction
Aside from bleeding easily it doesn't really reflect my friend's experiences so far, so Let's keep looking....
According to National Kidney and Urological Diseases Information Clearinghouse (NKUDIC) Hematuria is caused by many things most of which are not serious, but that it is also a symptom of Chronic Kidney disease. That said, what can be done? We know conventional medicine will insist on "life-saving drugs" and Invasive Surgery, but if one is not interested in those sorts of "cures" what's left?
(3)
Cranberry
Makes urine more acidic. Eliminates buildup of bacteria. Helps heal the bladder.
~Acidophilus
Beneficial when taking antibiotics.
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) plus
Decreases fluid retention.
~Choline
Decreases fluid retention.
~Inositol
Decreases fluid retention.
~Vitamin C with bioflavonoids
Makes urine more acidic. Promotes healing. Stimulates immune system.
Dandelion root
Eliminates waste from the kidneys. Helps with nephritis.
~Buchu tea
Buchu has traditionally been used to treat stomach problems, rheumatism, and urinary tract infections. Use hot water but do not bring to a boil.
~Dandelion Root Extract
This herb can help the kidneys eliminate waste products. It may also be helpful in treating nephritis.
~Cranberries
The benefits of cranberries have long been told by grandmothers to their grandchildren that cranberry juice will help to clear up urinary tract infections. Reports have stated that they also acidify the urine, remove bacteria that has built up, and fosters healing of the bladder. NOT THE SUPER SWEETENED FAMILIAR TV ADVERTIZED BRANDS, BUT THE REAL BERRIES WITH ENOUGH PUCKER TO TUCKER YOU OUT.
~Hydrangea & Uva Ursi
These two herbs can remove excess water from the body. One of the best first steps to take in cleaning the urinary tract and keeping it that way is to literally use diuretics to flush the urinary tract. This should assist the urinary tract from harboring harmful deposits of calcium or other mineral salts from being able to settle
~Marshmallow Tea
Responsible for cleaning the kidneys. NOT MARSHMALLOWS THAT CONTAIN HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP!
~SP-6 Cornsilk Blend
Solaray manufactures a product called SP-6 Cornsilk Blend. In addition, Nature's Way has a similar product called Kidney Bladder Formula that will also draw water retention.
~~Goldenrod Tea, Juniper Berries, Marshmallow Root, Nettle, Parsley, Red Clover, and Watermelon Seed Tea
These seven herbs may also be helpful for kidney disorders.~~
~Not listed but I strongly suspect that fermemted foods like sauerkraut will real help one to re-establish the proper flora killed off by repeated attack from antibiotics.
All of these can be purchased at an extremely reasonable price at:
Swanson Home Page
At least these products will help and not cause any harm, just in case something really bad is going on in those kidneys.
As for me I'm staying healthy by using::CellPower™ to cover the basics, also
FLAX SEED OIL for my colon, but of course
~Glutathione-the master antioxidant is a great helper to counteract many diabetic complications.
I've also added D-3 [from Swansons] two caps per day to ward off the evil colds and flus, no Mercury-laden flu shots for me!
~4 essential minerals for diabetics
~SELENIUMhelps immune system,fights infection and aids circulation
~MAGNESIUMhelps to relax you, aids stress and muscle relaxing
~CHROMIUMimproves insulin sensitivity, and helps lower blood sugar.
~ZINC especially to help you heal.
~coconut oil
"Really? Why?"
"Because it reads 'I be leaving you. Love, Mose.'"
Just once do Weeweechu with me…
One beautiful December evening Pedro and his girlfriend Rosita were sitting by the side of the ocean.
It was a romantic full moon, when Pedro said, "Hey, mamacita… let's do Weeweechu."
"Oh no… not now… let's look at the moon!" said Rosita.
"Oh, c'mon baby… let's you and I do Weeweechu. I love you, and it's the perfect time," Pedro begged.
"But I wanna just hold your hand and watch the moon," replied Rosita.
"Please, corazoncito… just once… do Weeweechu with me."
Rosita looked at Pedro and said, "OK… one time… we'll do Weeweechu."
Pedro grabbed his guitar, and they both sang…
"Weeweechu a Merry Christmas,Weeweechu a Merry Christmas,Weeweechu a Merry Christmas,
and a Happy New Year."
Is the FDA the new IRS?
a bit of a different post today, I am alarmed by the FDA's current attempts to aquire power to regulate all imports:
I see the FDA as the new IRS, remember it started out as little agency, just a tiny cog of the Treasury department, now it is is own Judiciary government, unsupervised, uncontrolled and out of control. All it took was Al Capone and the FBI'S desire to imprison him any way they could, it sounded reasonable, go ahead and put debtors in prison for mob activity, now anyone who makes a mistake on their return can spend their lives in prison. Sounded reasonable at first, but bureaucracy tends to explode in it's inefficiencies to epic proportions. If they get their way I won't be able to buy the supplements I need to maintain my health, and will be forced to eat horribly compromised food read on to see more.....
I fear the FDA, they are trying yet another end-run around our laws now, using the current Chinese debacles as their springboard, a politician who just hears the FDA side of things and sees giving over all power to the FDA, as reasonable.
The IRS was instituted the first time by President Lincoln to help pay for the civil war in 1862, it was repealed ten years later, then revived by Congress in 1894 but The Supreme Court ruled it was unconstitutional the following year.
In 1913, by ratified amendment to the Constitution, voted on by 3/4 of the states the income tax became a permanent headache for every wage-earner in the US. In 1929 to the tune of 24% we all began losing chunks of our paychecks for withholding and Social security payments.
According to the IRS we are customers. However most of us see it as a form of bondage.
What began as a small part of the treasury department, is now a Judiciary government all it's own with the power to spy on, judge, convict and sentence ANYONE to debtor's prison. How this happen?
It all began with a mobster known as Al Capone. He was a big mob boss in Chicago during Prohibition; when alcohol was illegal and the mobs of the Midwest ran wild supplying a thirsty Depression Era crowd with what some called bathtub gin or bootleg whiskey. No one could legally buy or make any 'spirits'. There were no legal night clubs, no taverns, no beer, no whiskey, no evening cocktails, just what ever you could buy on the black market from hoods. Capone had lots of enemies, He and 'Bugs' Moran had a running feud, and there was much bloodshed, Remember the Valentine's day Massacre? That was Capone going after Moran's gang. Also Herbert Hoover and his bastion of FBI thugs hated Capone too. Herbert sent out a decree in those days that he wanted Capone brought down.
Eliot Ness, who began to assemble a team of daring young agents like himself. The biggest effort was led by Elmer Irey of the IRS Special Intelligence Unit, [They have IRS SPIES?? Oh yes, Virginia, there is no IRS PERFIDY TOO HEINOUS TO EXIST] , redoubled his ongoing efforts shortly after Hoover's mandate.
Herbert Hoover knew they'd never get a conviction on Al Capone for racketeering because in the odd times he lived And with Prohibition being as unpopular as it was; the common person considered Mobsters in general to be heroes, and Capone as a mythical figure beyond the law's petty grasp. Prior to this while tax evasion was technically a crime it was pretty much not enforced but Hoover and his group convinced the Congress to put big teeth in that law. So, Capone was arrested, tried; essentially by the IRS, convicted and imprisoned. I'm not saying that the result was so terrible but keep in mind the founding fathers never made any provision for collecting taxes nor did they provide for a branch of government for such an endeavor, yet The IRS has become a government within our government by allowing it to take an inch they kept taking until they are now completely above the law. None of the usual provisos apply to them; due process, privacy in our papers, they are much like terrorists sanctioned by our government.
Now the FDA started doing the same. First they were supposed to be overseers of the drug industries. However drug manufacturers have infiltrated the ranks of the FDA so much that it's pretty much held by former or current pharma-business tycoons. The FDA now funds many of the legislators' campaigns, giving thousands of dollars per year to most of our law-makers USA today-Senators who weakened drug bill got millions from industry.
It may seem reasonable to say the FDA should oversee all imports for safety, but it is a bureaucracy and all bureaucracies spend as much energy as possible justifying their existence so first it will be a few toys from China, and if they see anything wrong, there will be no imports from certain countries, and Also my friends they are trying to keep you from taking any supplements, they want us all taking only drugs that doctors prescribe. Since so many of us don't have insurance or the means to consult a doctor, I guess we must be required to just die of the diseases that the FDA with their crazy food additive laws have unleashed on us.
We all know that we are what we eat, but most of us have trusted the FDA to keep really bad stuff out of our food, but I'm here to tell you they haven't done that:
~High Fructose Corn syrup [it causes us to just get fatter and fatter] Weston A Price-The Double Danger of High Fructose Corn Syrup,
~Diacetyl [recently seen in news programs causing lung diseases] OMB watch- Federal Agencies Knew of Diacetyl Dangers and Kept Silent
~Alloxan in our Flour [scientists use this to cause diabetes in rats] Alloxan diabetes-White Flour Contains Diabetes-Causing Contaminant Alloxan,
~MSG [CAUSES obesity] The link between monosodium glutamate (MSG) and obesity,
~Food Dyes [cause and exacerbate ADD] Artificial food additives.com-Chemical Food Additive Exposure During Pregnancy.
THIS IS A VERY SMALL LIST OF DANGEROUS THINGS IN OUR FOOD, I HAVEN'T EVEN GONE INTO THE HORRIBLE STUFF IN OUR WATER....Do a search for Fluoride dangers, or Mercury in Amalgam, or the poisons in our vaccines; Thimerasol.....[it contains mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde etc, and you give it to your kids!!!!! It has been implicated in Autism yet still you give it to your children.]
Am I trying to make you feel guilty, no, I'm trying to make you angry so you'll do something about it.
I don't trust the FDA, actually I think they are the weasel set to watch the chickens and have a huge vested interest in our staying sick, who do you suppose profits from illnesses? Yep, you guessed it, the Medi-business conglomerates and Pharma-business. And the FDA represents them and NOT US. So why are we giving them more and more power?
