*****************MORE FIBER-MORE POWER***************
The Mayo clinic says that dietary fiber is an essential part of a healthy diet. Fiber found in grains, legume, fruits and vegetables plays a role in relieving constipation as we all know; but it is also vital to lower blood sugar for Diabetics, aid in weight loss, it also lowers your chances of contracting diabetes or heart disease. If you already suffer from these diseases then eat more fiber....Unlike the fats,carbohydrates,and proteins which the body breaks down and absorbs, fiber cannot be digested so it is expelled, but as it is being expelled it will carry lots of other fecal matter with it, It also helps to clean the walls of the intestines allowing them to be relieved of the rotting fecal matter that causes, cancers, diverticuli, ulcers and other colon ills, also quick expelling of waste helps the body to digest faster so that it is less loggy, Digestion really slows down the body. If you think of the operations of the body like your computers memory you can see that the heavy-duty job of digestion; Esophagus, stomach, 26 feet of small intestine, and 3-5 feet of large intestine or colon, and not to mention the liver, kidneys, blood vessels, and pancreas all working to aid in this process and you see that our systems memory is fully engaged. Fiber can shove everything through so much faster so our lives aren't always logged down with the laborious, and exhaustion processes of digestion, not to mention the poisons released as digestion is going more slowly and rotting before it's eventual evacuation from the colon. Fiber is divided into two kinds, Soluble and insoluble.
~The soluble is the kind that dissolves in water to form a gel-like mass it is found in:oats, peas, beans, apples, citrus fruits, carrots, barley and psyllium, to help in lowering Cholesterol and blood glucose.
~The insoluble as found in: Whole-wheat flour, wheat bran, nuts and many vegetables sources help the body push waste matter through the intestines.

I have a recipe for you, I call it bean soup.

1 1/2 C. Pinto beans soaked for a few hours, rinsed and drained a couple of times, then gently boiled for an hour or so until soft.

Then in another pan I sauté tiny bits of chicken breast[1 cup] and [1] onion chopped, I add sea salt, pepper, celery seeds and Katy's essence spices to taste [actually a bit strong because it will dilute in the beans. Also I add 3 Tbs of chia seeds and any other veggies I have on hand; green peppers, broccoli, bok choy chopped small so all the bits are the size of the beans. Then I boil it a bit longer to blend the flavors, Serve and eat, this makes maybe three bowls or more! of extremely yummy soup.

~~~Katy's Spicy essence~~~
I've sent this out to friends all over the US because when I make it every year I make a lot!
When I say a part I use a bottle of spice, it can be any size as long as all 'parts' are about the same size. Experiment, use your favorites, don't stick with the strict formula, I don't.
2 1/2 parts of paprika [I love paprika anyway]
2 parts salt[I use sea salt](you can use more sea salt,not harmful like table salt)
2 parts garlic powder- use the kind that says it's just garlic, no preservatives.
1 part black pepper
1 part onion powder
1 part cayenne powder
1 part Italian herbs or basil, oregano, parsley from your garden
1 part crushed red pepper
2 parts chili powder
put it all in your food processor to grind up the Italian herbs and crushed red pepper so it's Incorporated well into the other spices which are powders.
I usually make a double batch to last a year, we snarf this stuff, I put it in re-marked spice bottles that the ingredients came from, I then save then as I empty them so I'll always have bottles to keep it in. Most of the people I know love it too. I have to admit it's a revised version of the Emmeril Legasse's essence which includes MSG. I don't use any MSG.
I try to eat lots of raw veggies, including a spinach salad often, drink a green veggie juice cocktail twice every day, I eat seeds, and nuts and beans; and I'm taking CellPower™ because for one thing it does have lots of digestive enzymes in it, also it helps to balance the pH levels and is antibiotic, anti-viral-and anti-fungal AND IT PACKS THE CELLS WITH LIFE-GIVING OXYGEN, AND ENERGY. And:SELENIUMhelps immune system,fights infection and aids circulation
~MAGNESIUMhelps to relax you, aids stress and muscle relaxing
~CHROMIUMimproves insulin sensitivity, and helps lower blood sugar.
~ZINC especially to help you heal.
I also eat, one of the best fats for the Omega-3~6 balance and losing weight.
~coconut oil
Four men were bragging about how smart their dogs were. One man was an engineer, the second man was an accountant, the third man was a chemist, and the fourth was a government worker.
To show off, the engineer called to his dog. "T-square, do your stuff." T-square trotted over to a desk, took out some paper and a pen, and promptly drew a circle, a square, and a triangle.
Everyone agreed that that that was pretty smart.
The accountant said that his dog could do better. He called to his dog and said, "Spreadsheet, do your stuff." Spreadsheet went out into the kitchen and returned with a dozen cookies. He divided them into four equal piles of three cookies each.
Everyone agreed that that was good.
The chemist said that his dog could do better still. he called to his dog and said, "Measure, do your stuff." Measure got up, walked over to the fridge, took out a quart of milk, got a ten-ounce glass from the cupboard, and poured exactly eight ounces without spilling a drop.
Everyone agreed that that was pretty impressive.
Then the three men turned to the government worker and said, "What can your dog do?"
The government worker called to his dog and said, "Coffee Break, do your stuff." Coffee Break jumped to his feet, ate the cookies, drank the milk, claimed he had injured his back while doing so, filed a grievance report for unsafe working conditions, put in for worker' compensation, and went home for the rest of the day on sick leave.
They all agreed that that was the most impressive of all.
WE NEED WATER AND SALT
"All living things utilize water and salt for life. The body is under a strong constant compunction to retain salt keeping water inside the systems." In fact the heart is mostly composed of water.
(1)
Oxygen, water, and salt are the most crucial elements the human body requires for survival. Without adequate supplies in every cell, serious health problems will result, ultimately leading to death. Dehydration and salt deficiency are the two leading causes of virtually all the diseases afflicting mankind. Sadly, because of profit motives, medical doctors treat these symptoms with drugs that cause further problems, instead of giving patients what the body really needs – Water & Salt.
When it comes to maintaining your health or restoring lost health, water and salt are the least expensive, most beneficial elements you can put into your body. People spend thousands and thousands of dollars on expensive drugs and nutritional supplements that don’t do anything to hydrate the body, or supply salt containing vital trace minerals needed for survival. All living things utilize water and salt for life. The body is under a constant drive to retain salt to keep water inside the system. In the book, Water & Salt – The Essence of Life, it discusses the important role salt plays in the functioning of every cell:
“Transformability of salt is very important for our body because it is the foundation of our cell metabolism. The life-giving principle of metabolism in all living beings is osmosis, when liquids transfer from one cell to another. This process of osmosis is managed by the salt concentration in the cells. The liquid in a cell always moves from a cell with a lower salt concentration (potential) to a cell with a higher salt concentration (potential), because the cell membranes are permeable for water but not for salt and the body always strives to achieve a balance in concentration.”
The body's salt/water ratio is critical to metabolism. The National Academy of Sciences recommends that Americans consume a minimum of 500 mg/day of sodium to maintain good health. Of course an individual's needs vary from person to person, day to day. Water and salt can go to toxic levels if taken to excess but most of us haven't anything to worry about on a normal basis.
I definitely recommend not eating table salt, I prefer sea salt to the aluminum-laden table salt see blood pressure solutions
(2)
For 4,000 years, we have known that salt intakes can affect blood pressure through signals to the muscles of blood vessels trying to maintain blood pressure within a proper range. We know that a minority of the population can lower blood pressure by restricting dietary salt. And we know that elevated blood pressure, “hypertension,” is a well-documented marker or “risk factor” for cardiovascular events like heart attacks and strokes, a “silent killer.” Cardiovascular events are a major cause of “premature” death and cost Americans more than $300 billion every year in increased medical costs and lost productivity. Reducing blood pressure can reduce the risk of a heart attack or stroke – depending on how it’s done.
(3)
Water makes up more than two thirds of the weight of the human body, and without it, humans would die in a few days. The human brain is made up of 95% water, blood is 82% and lungs 90%. A mere 2% drop in our body's water supply can trigger signs of dehydration: fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on smaller print, such as a computer screen. (Are you having trouble reading this? Drink up!) Mild dehydration is also one of the most common causes of daytime fatigue. An estimated seventy-five percent of Americans have mild, chronic dehydration. Pretty scary statistic for a developed country, where water is readily available through the tap or bottle.
Water is important to the mechanics of the human body. The body cannot work without it, just as a car cannot run without gas and oil. In fact, all the cell and organ functions made up in our entire anatomy and physiology depend on water for their functioning.
~Water serves as a lubricant
~Water forms the base for saliva
~Water forms the fluids that surround the joints.
~Water regulates the body temperature, as the cooling and heating is distributed through perspiration.
~Water helps to alleviate constipation by moving food through the intestinal tract and thereby eliminating waste- the best detox agent.
~Regulates metabolism
In addition to the daily maintenance of our bodies, water also plays a key role in the prevention of disease. Drinking eight glasses of water daily can decrease the risk of colon cancer by 45%, bladder cancer by 50% and it can potentially even reduce the risk of breast cancer. And those are just a few examples! As you follow other links on our website, you can read more in depth about how water can aid in the prevention and cure of many types of diseases, ailments and disorders that affect the many systems of our bodies.
The Mayo clinic says:
(4)
Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don't have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions.
How much water do you need?
Every day you lose water through your breath, perspiration, urine and bowel movements. For your body to function properly, you must replenish its water supply by consuming beverages and foods that contain water.
A couple of approaches attempt to approximate water needs for the average, healthy adult living in a temperate climate.
Replacement approach. The average urine output for adults is 1.5 liters a day. You lose close to an additional liter of water a day through breathing, sweating and bowel movements. Food usually accounts for 20 percent of your total fluid intake, so if you consume 2 liters of water or other beverages a day (a little more than 8 cups) along with your normal diet, you will typically replace the lost fluids.
Dietary recommendations. The Institute of Medicine advises that men consume roughly 3.0 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages a day and women consume 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages a day.
Even apart from the above approaches, it is generally the case that if you drink enough fluid so that you rarely feel thirsty and produce between one and two liters of colorless or slightly yellow urine a day, your fluid intake is probably adequate.
(5)
dehydration produces stress, chronic pains and many degenerative diseases. Dry mouth is not the only sign of dehydration and waiting to get thirsty is wrong. Medicine has based its understanding that it is solid matter in the body that regulates all functions of the body. I have explained scientifically at the molecular level that it is water that regulates all functions of the body including functions of solid matter. 75 % of our bodies are composed of water. The brain is 85% water. It is water that energizes and activates the solid matter. If you don’t take enough water, some functions of the body will suffer. Dehydration produces system disturbances. When I use the word water cure, I am referring to curing dehydration with water."Fereydoon Batmanghelidj, M.D.
There can't be another crisis this week, my schedule is completely full.
A woman and a man are involved in a car accident.
It's a bad one. Both of their cars are totally demolished but amazingly neither of them are hurt.
After they crawl out of their cars, the woman says, "So you're a man,that's interesting. I'm a woman. Wow, just look at our cars! There nothing left but fortunately we are unhurt.
"This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days."
The man replied," I agree with you completely. This must be a sign from God!"
The woman continued, "And look at this, here's another miracle. My car is completely demolished, but this bottle of wine didn't break! Sure God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune."
The she hands the bottle to the man. The man nods his head in agreement, opens it and drinks half the bottle, and then hands it back to the woman.
The woman takes the bottle, immediately puts the cap back on, and hands it back to the man.
The man asks "Aren't you having any?"
The woman replies, "No. I think I'll just wait for the police."
When the family car developed a slight knock, the wife asked her husband if he had bought regular or premium gas, but he couldn't remember.
"You probably got the cheaper gas," she said. "That could account for the engine running so rough."
"No, the gas wasn't cheaper!" he replied indignantly.
"Well, how much did it cost?" asked the wife.
"It cost the same as always," said the husband. "I bought the usual ten dollars worth."
After-Thanksgiving Poem
I ate too much turkey, I ate too much corn,
I ate too much pudding and pie.
I'm stuffed up with muffins and too much stuffin'
I'm probably going to die.
I piled up my plate and I ate and I ate.
But I wish I had known when to stop,
For I'm so crammed with yams, sauces, gravies, and jams
That my buttons are starting to pop!
I'm full of tomatoes and french fried potatoes
My stomach is swollen and sore,
But there's still some dessert so I guess it won't hurt if
I eat just a little bit more!
~~~
Drink lots of clean water, eat sea salt [unrefined] and get healthy, stay healthy and be bountifully blessed.
