"Pharmaceuticals, as packaged by modern medicine, are the third leading cause of death in this country... they are useless, because most of the medication they are using is to cover up symptoms and signs and complications of dehydration in the human body. The human body manifests dehydration by a series of symptoms and signs, perceptive symptoms of dehydration -- in other words, brain senses dehydration, or tiredness when you haven't done a good day's work, or first thing in the morning when you want to get up out of bed and you're tired, you can't get up -- that is a sign of dehydration. Then anger, quick reaction, depression, these are all signs of dehydration, when the brain has very little energy from hydroelectricity to cope with the information or take action. These are some of the perceptive signs of dehydration. Then the body has its drought management program, which are allergies, hypertension, diabetes, and also immune diseases." This from an interview with the world's authority on water, the Author of "The Water cure", Dr. Batmanghelidj

See the article No substitute for water

There is no substitute for water; Dr. Batmanghelidj insists all other liquids do things other than just hydrate the body. Gatorade isn't a substitute unless one just needs to add minerals lost during profuse sweating. Caffeine in soft drinks and coffee/tea will actually dehydrate your body; then the body has its drought management program, which are allergies, hypertension, diabetes, and also immune diseases.

As to being able to determine when we are thirsty
Dr. Batmanghelidj says:
"First and foremost, don't wait until you get thirsty, because that's an error. Unfortunately, the National Academy of Sciences and some other people recently have been telling people to wait until they get thirsty before they drink, which is the main error that we inherited 100 years ago from a man called Walter Bradford Cannon. And that's why, at the time, there was a Frenchman saying that dehydration or thirst is a general sensation and we should study it, and Walter Bradford Cannon said, no, thirst is only a matter of dry mouth.
When the mouth is dry we are thirsty, which is an arrogant statement, and unfortunately western medicine bought into that understanding, and that's why we have a sick-care system, because from the age of 20 onwards, we gradually, imperceptibly become dehydrated without knowing it. We lose our perception of thirst. By the age of 70 we may be totally thirsty and obviously thirsty and yet not recognize the need to drink water, even when water is put next to us.
This was done as an experiment. A scientist asked a group of elderly people to withhold from drinking water for 24 hours, and similarly with young people. After 24 hours when water was made available, the elderly did not recognize that they were thirsty."

Water and AIDS
AIDS is a metabolic problem, when the body begins to cannibalize its own tissue because of certain missing elements in the raw materials that it receives through food or beverages, and the body of a person who gets AIDS, actually, is short of quite a number of building block amino acids. They’re short of tyrosine, they’re short of methionine, cysteine, they’re short of histidine, and they’ve got a whole lot of others in excess. So how can we expect a body that depends on the other amino acids to survive?...Once again we see AIDS is a huge industry for the pharmaceutical industry...the entire existence of the pharmaceutical industry is based on presentation of false science, and advertising this false science and drumming it into the minds of gullible people who have no curiosity to find out why that is so.

Cholesterol
Dr. B: Another false science is the question of cholesterol. Cholesterol is one of the most essential elements in the survival of the human body. When the body begins to make more cholesterol, it has a reason to do that. It is certainly not to block the arteries of the heart, because we measure the level of cholesterol in the body in the blood we take out of the veins of the body, and nowhere in the history of medicine is there recorded one single case of cholesterol ever having blocked the veins of the body.
So, it is not the stickiness of the cholesterol that is the problem, which the drug industry is drumming it into the minds of people -- cholesterol is sticky, reduce it otherwise you will have blockage of your arteries, which is all nonsense. Cholesterol is actually saving the lives of people, because cholesterol is a bandage, a waterproof bandage that the body has designed. When the blood becomes concentrated and acidic, and is being rushed through constricted arteries or capillaries, in dehydration, then abrasions and tears are produced in the arterial system, naturally, in the capillaries of the heart first.
Now if cholesterol wasn’t there to cover up the tear and abrasions, blood would get under the membrane and peel it off and that person would be dead instantly. Cholesterol is actually an interim lifesaver, giving the body time to recover from its problems. We never understood this. We are knee-jerk doctors. We think that something’s up, bring it down, if something’s down, bring it up. We don’t ask questions why is it down or why is it up?... And the pharmaceutical companies know that treating cholesterol is a huge industry...

Now with the news breaking that the statin drugs are not useful at all, even the regular media is reporting it, where do we go from the dreaded Cholesterol? Maybe it would be a good idea to actually find out why we have higher or lower Cholesterol?

The lawyer kicks off his shoes, wiggle his toes, and starts to settle in, when the physician in the window seat says, "I think I'll get up and get a coke."

"No problem," says the attorney, "I'm by the aisle. I'll get it for you."

While he's gone, one of the physicians picks up the attorney's shoe and spits in it. When he returns with the coke, the other physician says, "That looks good, I think I'll have one too."

Again, the attorney obligingly fetches the drink. While he's gone, the other physician picks up the other shoe and spits in it.

The lawyer comes back and they all sit back and enjoy the flight. As the plane is landing, however, the attorney slips his feet into his shoes and realizes immediately what has happened.

"How long must this go on?" he asks the physicians. "This fighting between our professions? This hatred? This animosity? This spitting in shoes and peeing in cokes?"

WE NEED WATER AND SALT

"All living things utilize water and salt for life. The body is under a strong constant compunction to retain salt keeping water inside the systems." In fact the heart is mostly composed of water.
(1)
Oxygen, water, and salt are the most crucial elements the human body requires for survival. Without adequate supplies in every cell, serious health problems will result, ultimately leading to death. Dehydration and salt deficiency are the two leading causes of virtually all the diseases afflicting mankind. Sadly, because of profit motives, medical doctors treat these symptoms with drugs that cause further problems, instead of giving patients what the body really needs – Water & Salt.
When it comes to maintaining your health or restoring lost health, water and salt are the least expensive, most beneficial elements you can put into your body. People spend thousands and thousands of dollars on expensive drugs and nutritional supplements that don’t do anything to hydrate the body, or supply salt containing vital trace minerals needed for survival. All living things utilize water and salt for life. The body is under a constant drive to retain salt to keep water inside the system. In the book, Water & Salt – The Essence of Life, it discusses the important role salt plays in the functioning of every cell:
“Transformability of salt is very important for our body because it is the foundation of our cell metabolism. The life-giving principle of metabolism in all living beings is osmosis, when liquids transfer from one cell to another. This process of osmosis is managed by the salt concentration in the cells. The liquid in a cell always moves from a cell with a lower salt concentration (potential) to a cell with a higher salt concentration (potential), because the cell membranes are permeable for water but not for salt and the body always strives to achieve a balance in concentration.”

The body's salt/water ratio is critical to metabolism. The National Academy of Sciences recommends that Americans consume a minimum of 500 mg/day of sodium to maintain good health. Of course an individual's needs vary from person to person, day to day. Water and salt can go to toxic levels if taken to excess but most of us haven't anything to worry about on a normal basis.

I definitely recommend not eating table salt, I prefer sea salt to the aluminum-laden table salt see blood pressure solutions

(2)
For 4,000 years, we have known that salt intakes can affect blood pressure through signals to the muscles of blood vessels trying to maintain blood pressure within a proper range. We know that a minority of the population can lower blood pressure by restricting dietary salt. And we know that elevated blood pressure, “hypertension,” is a well-documented marker or “risk factor” for cardiovascular events like heart attacks and strokes, a “silent killer.” Cardiovascular events are a major cause of “premature” death and cost Americans more than $300 billion every year in increased medical costs and lost productivity. Reducing blood pressure can reduce the risk of a heart attack or stroke – depending on how it’s done.

(3)
Water makes up more than two thirds of the weight of the human body, and without it, humans would die in a few days. The human brain is made up of 95% water, blood is 82% and lungs 90%. A mere 2% drop in our body's water supply can trigger signs of dehydration: fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on smaller print, such as a computer screen. (Are you having trouble reading this? Drink up!) Mild dehydration is also one of the most common causes of daytime fatigue. An estimated seventy-five percent of Americans have mild, chronic dehydration. Pretty scary statistic for a developed country, where water is readily available through the tap or bottle.
Water is important to the mechanics of the human body. The body cannot work without it, just as a car cannot run without gas and oil. In fact, all the cell and organ functions made up in our entire anatomy and physiology depend on water for their functioning.
~Water serves as a lubricant
~Water forms the base for saliva
~Water forms the fluids that surround the joints.
~Water regulates the body temperature, as the cooling and heating is distributed through perspiration.
~Water helps to alleviate constipation by moving food through the intestinal tract and thereby eliminating waste- the best detox agent.
~Regulates metabolism
In addition to the daily maintenance of our bodies, water also plays a key role in the prevention of disease. Drinking eight glasses of water daily can decrease the risk of colon cancer by 45%, bladder cancer by 50% and it can potentially even reduce the risk of breast cancer. And those are just a few examples! As you follow other links on our website, you can read more in depth about how water can aid in the prevention and cure of many types of diseases, ailments and disorders that affect the many systems of our bodies.

The Mayo clinic says:
(4)
Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don't have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions.
How much water do you need?
Every day you lose water through your breath, perspiration, urine and bowel movements. For your body to function properly, you must replenish its water supply by consuming beverages and foods that contain water.
A couple of approaches attempt to approximate water needs for the average, healthy adult living in a temperate climate.
Replacement approach. The average urine output for adults is 1.5 liters a day. You lose close to an additional liter of water a day through breathing, sweating and bowel movements. Food usually accounts for 20 percent of your total fluid intake, so if you consume 2 liters of water or other beverages a day (a little more than 8 cups) along with your normal diet, you will typically replace the lost fluids.
Dietary recommendations. The Institute of Medicine advises that men consume roughly 3.0 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages a day and women consume 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages a day.
Even apart from the above approaches, it is generally the case that if you drink enough fluid so that you rarely feel thirsty and produce between one and two liters of colorless or slightly yellow urine a day, your fluid intake is probably adequate.

(5)
dehydration produces stress, chronic pains and many degenerative diseases. Dry mouth is not the only sign of dehydration and waiting to get thirsty is wrong. Medicine has based its understanding that it is solid matter in the body that regulates all functions of the body. I have explained scientifically at the molecular level that it is water that regulates all functions of the body including functions of solid matter. 75 % of our bodies are composed of water. The brain is 85% water. It is water that energizes and activates the solid matter. If you don’t take enough water, some functions of the body will suffer. Dehydration produces system disturbances. When I use the word water cure, I am referring to curing dehydration with water."Fereydoon Batmanghelidj, M.D.

So, Good clean water, and yes, I do not recommend drinking any tap water, and sea salt are essential to good health.

A woman and a man are involved in a car accident.
It's a bad one. Both of their cars are totally demolished but amazingly neither of them are hurt.
After they crawl out of their cars, the woman says, "So you're a man, that's interesting. I'm a woman. Wow, just look at our cars! There nothing left but fortunately we are unhurt.
"This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days."
The man replied," I agree with you completely. This must be a sign from God!"
The woman continued, "And look at this, here's another miracle. My car is completely demolished, but this bottle of wine didn't break! Sure God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune."
The she hands the bottle to the man. The man nods his head in agreement, opens it and drinks half the bottle, and then hands it back to the woman.
The woman takes the bottle, immediately puts the cap back on, and hands it back to the man.
The man asks "Aren't you having any?"
The woman replies, "No. I think I'll just wait for the police."

"Well, how much did it cost?" asked the wife.

I ate too much turkey, I ate too much corn,
I ate too much pudding and pie.
I'm stuffed up with muffins and too much stuffin'
I'm probably going to die.

I piled up my plate and I ate and I ate.
But I wish I had known when to stop,
For I'm so crammed with yams, sauces, gravies, and jams
That my buttons are starting to pop!

I'm full of tomatoes and french fried potatoes
My stomach is swollen and sore,
But there's still some dessert so I guess it won't hurt if
I eat just a little bit more!

WATER, WATER EVERYWHERE

Our bodies are approximately 70% water, most critical is our blood but every single cell in our bodies needs water to function. It transports oxygen to the cells, delivers nutrients to the working parts of our bodies, takes wastes to the proper elimination stations and gives us energy. We lose about 2 ½ liters of moisture per day, through, urination, perspiration, and respiration, more if we are very active. Thirst reminds us we need more water, but we are in need long before we get thirsty.

Symptoms of mild dehydration are lower back pain, joint and muscle aches, headaches, constipation, strong odor or dark color of the urine.

(1)
Water is important to the mechanics of the human body. The body cannot work without it, just as a car cannot run without gas and oil. In fact, all the cell and organ functions made up in our entire anatomy and physiology depend on water for their functioning.
· Water serves as a lubricant
· Water forms the base for saliva
· Water forms the fluids that surround the joints.
· Water regulates the body temperature, as the cooling and heating is distributed through perspiration.
· Water helps to alleviate constipation by moving food through the intestinal tract and thereby eliminating waste- the best detox agent.
· Regulates metabolism
In addition to the daily maintenance of our bodies, water also plays a key role in the prevention of disease. Drinking eight glasses of water daily can decrease the risk of colon cancer by 45%, bladder cancer by 50% and it can potentially even reduce the risk of breast cancer. And those are just a few examples! As you follow other links on our website, you can read more in depth about how water can aid in the prevention and cure of many types of diseases, ailments and disorders that affect the many systems of our bodies.

The effect of contaminated water on our health:
(2)
Contaminated water could be harmful to anyone, even more so for those with weakened immune systems. In fact, some organisms that could show up in water may be harmless to most, but deadly to others. A weakened immune system can be a result of having an organ transplant, having HIV or AIDS or from undergoing chemotherapy. A weaker immune system means a higher likelihood of contracting disease from waterborne contaminants.
Cryptosporidiosis, a diarrhea disease known better as “crypto”, is one ailment caused by a microscopic parasite that can have a greater affect on a weakened immune system. In fact, over the past 20 years, it has become one of the more common waterborne illnesses. Cryptosporidium parvum lives in intestines of humans and animals and is passed in their stool. This disease is communicable and can be passed by water, sex, sharing food and even touching farm animals. The parasite is protected by an outer shell, which allows it to survive outside the body for long periods of time and-- here’s the kicker-- makes it very resistant to chlorine disinfection. The parasite is found in every region of the United States and throughout the world in drinking and recreational water. The illness can last a few days to a week in a normal person, but for someone with AIDS, it can be fatal. Ironically, with something you catch from water, water is a huge cure for this. With diarrhea, people become very dehydrated. Drinking clean, pure water is a way to get back to health. However, once inflicted, the disease can recur. The best prevention is to practice safe water practices. Most important, this means clean drinking water. The Center for Disease Control states on their website that all reverse osmosis filters protect the best against crypto. Some other filters may work, but they must say “absolute 1 micron” to be sure.

An acidic condition is another problem. Symptoms of acidity are: (3)
weight loss problems, insomnia, water retention, arthritis, migraine headaches, constipation, colds, flu, stomach ulcers, acid reflux and even cancer. Many health experts agree that an overly acidic body greatly diminishes the effectiveness of your immune system and usually leads to disease.
Acidic conditions in the body are caused by: junk food, proteins, carbohydrates, fats, sodas, coffee, sports drinks, alcohol, environmental toxins, and stress. Considering this long list of items that can lead to acidic challenges in our body, it becomes very clear why it is so important to drink an alkaline beverage every day.
WHY pH balance is critical to your health
In order for the body to maintain optimal health, it needs to manage a very narrow pH range (slightly alkaline) - especially in the blood. In fact, the body will go to almost any length necessary to maintain your blood pH at 7.34 – 7.45 because anything outside that pH range could result in death
