*********************BETTER DIGESTION****************
One of the Symptoms I no longer suffer from since I started this reversing diabetes Diet is heartburn. I also had a problem with post prandial sickness. It was awful, I'd flush with fever, and feel like I was going to vomit after nearly every meal. somehow, just eating better caused those symptoms and so many others to fade like snow in the Spring. I'm not sure exactly what caused this particular turn-around but I can give a few good ideas on how to counteract general digestive disturbances.

Most of us seem to rock along with really poor gut flora balances, then if there is a problem popping up we rush to the Doctor and get a drug or quick fix that masks the problem and often will make it worse in the long run.

The widespread over-prescribed and wrongly-prescribed Antibiotics causes the Candida Albacans portion of our intestinal flora to increase. In time this will cause a condition called Leaky Gut.See Leaky Gut syndrome.

(1)
Over what can be many years it is little wonder that we start to feel constantly debilitated, fatigued, washed-out, lacking in get-up-and-go.
It is also little surprise that many people find their lives dogged further human digestion problems such as either constipation, or diarrhea, or both (in an alternating hellish cycle!). In between these 'delights' we also suffer flatulence, bloating, even substantial pain and discomfort. Not to mention often experiencing severely affected sleep patterns, being woken with nausea, acidity and worse.
We can come to see these traumas as something we just have to live with. This is a dangerous and misguided belief. It is, in actual fact, imperative that we do what we can to get things back on track, and to be honest, as with so many things, the ONLY answer is concerted effort to establish effective positive lifestyle change.

I had a conversation with a friend yesterday, she's elderly and has been suffering with what she calls "stomach problems". This, in her generation, is a euphemism for any of a host of digestive troubles. In her case there is an obstruction and she has been tested for what it is exactly causing the problems. I have talked to her frequently on health topics, and while she is not adverse to hearing them she does not want to give up her eating habits. She and her also ailing husband eat a diet of all prepared foods, nothing raw, "because they repeat on her". They eat foods deep fried in used and re-used vegetable oils.

Vegetables and fruits consumed are from cans and then re-heated rendering them not only completely devoid of any nutritive value but actually poisoning to their already age-compromised bodies. Years of poor eating choices have them both of them with no place to go soon but a nursing home, where there are no more choices to revert to a good diet.

My pleas and earnest lecturing are met with indulgent smiles. There is no way they will change their present habits because it's how they've always done things and anything else is unfamiliar territory [read:do not go there].

Eating right includes lots of leafy green and orange vegetables and fruits, served raw. Rule of thumb, any brightly colored fruit or vegetable is good, really good. Especially eat lots of the cruciferous vegetables See cruciferous vegetables.

Another excellent rule is to use only good fats, coconut oil, olive oil, and flax seed oil, and then only raw, do not heat them. Eat lots of good fats, EFA's[essential fatty acids], small oily cold water fish.

Meats should be eaten only if they are range-fed, and not hormone or antibiotically enhanced.

What not to eat: Genetically modified foods, processed foods, fast foods, foods cooked on high temperatures.

I have been taking my CellPower™that helps control cravings, adds enzymes and fights diseases and fungi. It is most certainly a big reason My digestive system is so much better.

Also: SELENIUMhelps immune system,fights infection and aids circulation
~MAGNESIUMhelps to relax you, aids stress and muscle relaxing
~CHROMIUMimproves insulin sensitivity, and helps lower blood sugar.
~ZINC especially to help you heal.
I also eat, one of the best fats for the Omega-3~6 balance and losing weight.
~coconut oil

Also I really have to give you one little miracle I know to be true: Cinnamon, but it needs to be pure and at least a teaspoon per meal to do any good. It really lowers my blood glucose levels. OH AND SO DOES CELERY, EAT LOTS OF CELERY!

Employee Placement Method
Does your organization struggle with the problem of properly fitting people to jobs? Here is a handy hint for ensuring success in job placement. Take the prospective employees you are trying to place and put them in a room with only a table and two chairs. Leave them alone for two hours, without any instruction. At the end of that time, go back and see what they are doing.
- If they have taken the table apart in that time, put them in Engineering.
- If they are counting the butts in the ashtray, assign them to Finance.
- If they are screaming and waving their arms, send them off to Manufacturing.
- If they are talking to the chairs, Personnel is a good spot for them.
- If they are writing up the experience, send them to Tech Pubs.
- If they don't even look up when you enter the room, assign them to Security.
- If they try to tell you it's not as bad as it looks, send them to Marketing.
- If they've left early, put them in Sales.
- And if they're all bullying each other, they're Management material.

A photographer used a cell phone to call the local airport to charter a flight. He was told a twin engine plane would be waiting for him at the
airport.

Arriving at the airfield, he spotted a plane warming up outside a hanger. He jumped in with his bag, slammed the door shut, and shouted, 'Let's go'. The pilot
taxied out, swung the plane into the wind and took off.

Once in the air, the photographer instructed the pilot, 'Fly over the valley and make low passes so I can take pictures of the fires on the hillsides.'

'Why?' asked the pilot.

'Because I'm a photographer for Fox Cable News,' he responded. 'And I need to get some close up shots.'

The pilot was strangely silent for a moment, finally he stammered, 'So, what you're telling me, is . . you're NOT my flight instructor?'

A striking and characteristic chemical property of cruciferous plants is their high
concentration of glucosinolates. Glucosinolates and their isothiocyanate hydrolysis
(breakdown) products are well-known protectors against the development of cancer,
suggesting that greater intakes of these vegetables may lower the risk of several
types of cancer.

GLUCOSINOLATES PLAY A PROTECTIVE ROLE in plants -they suppress the growth of neighboring plants -tend to keep certain insects from feeding on it. -And it has some broad antibiotic proterties including nematocidal, antimicrobial, antifungal, antiprotozoal. The act of chewing these vegetables,[in it's raw state] efficiently converts glucosinolates to isothiocynates.
Since the early 1960’s, research has shown some promising tendancies that both natural and synthetic isothiocyanates have shown to be protectors against chemical carcinogenesis in a number of animals.Some glucosinolates have been examined and appear to be very effective in inhibiting carcinogenesis.

(1)
Cigarette smoke releases several carcinogenic compounds in the lungs during smoking. Lung tissue activates these compounds to carcinogenic compounds that bind to DNA and cause carcinogenic changes. Isothicyanates isolated from vegetables were effective inhibitors of this activation in animals and humans.

The specific cancers that cruciferous veggies can help alleviate are:
*Bladder cancer,
*Prostate cancer
*Breast cancer
*Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Please read the source to find out more, especially recommendations on a healthy cancer-free diet.
Crucifers also have another ingredient called sulforaphane:
(2)
Research indicates that sulforaphane has the ability to increase the capacity of the liver to detoxify harmful, cancer-causing compounds. Specifically, sulforaphane increases the activity of the liver's Phase 2 detoxification enzymes. These enzymes (which include glutathione transferases, NAD(P)H: quinone reductase, and glucuronosyltransferases) are well known for their ability to clear a wide variety of toxic compounds from the body including not only many carcinogens, but also many reactive oxygen species, a particularly nasty type of free radical. By jump starting these important detoxification enzymes, compounds in crucifers provide protection against cell mutations, cancer and numerous other harmful effects that would otherwise be caused by these toxins. Research on indole-3-carbinol shows this compound helps deactivate a potent estrogen metabolite (2-hydroxyestrone)that promotes tumor growth, especially in estrogen-sensitive breast cells. Indole-3-carbinol has been shown to suppress not only breast tumor cell growth, but also cancer cell metastasis (the movement of cancerous cells to other parts of the body). A study published in the August 2003 issue of the International Journal of Cancer suggests that eating lots of cruciferous vegetables may provide a significant survival advantage for women diagnosed with ovarian cancer. One of the most aggressive cancers, ovarian cancer claims the lives of 14,000 American women each year.

So, when your mom urged you to eat your vegetables maybe she knew something?

Marriage Counseling
After just a few years of marriage filled with constant arguments, a young man and his wife decided the only way to save their marriage was to try counseling. They had been at each other's throats for some time and felt that this was their last straw.
When they arrived at the counselor's office, the counselor jumped right in and opened the floor for discussion. "What seems to be the problem?" Immediately, the husband held his long face down without anything to say. In contrast, the wife began talking 90 miles an hour, describing all the wrongs within their marriage.
After 15 minutes of listening to the wife, the counselor went over to her, picked her up by her shoulders, kissed her passionately and sat her back down. Afterwards, the wife sat speechless.
The marriage counselor looked over at the husband, who stared in disbelief. The counselor said to the husband, "Your wife NEEDS that at least twice a week!"
The husband scratched his head and replied, "I can have her here on Tuesdays and Thursdays."

DIABETES AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE

Sign-up for the weekly newsletter digest that is packed with the latest news in healthy living, you need this resource interactive
write to me at webriter@verizon.net or mark_my_bailey@yahoo.com.
********DIABETES AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE **********
Premise: Antioxidants/exercise are essential for diabetics who have cardiovascular disease.
(1)
Atherosclerosis starts with the deposition of low-density lipoproteins (LDL or “bad cholesterol”) in blood vessel walls. However, LDL deposits by themselves do not cause atherosclerosis. LDL lipids have to be oxidatively damaged before cardiovascular disease (CVD) develops.

Given the role of oxidative damage in the development of CVD, antioxidant therapy seemed the obvious thing to try. It was therefore surprising that several large-scale clinical trials of patients with cardiovascular disease failed to show any benefit from antioxidant supplementation. There were indications, however, that a subset of patients in these trials might have derived a benefit from taking antioxidants. These patients had two things in common, namely diabetes and a particular form of the haptoglobin protein.

This world we live in where we eat polluted foods, drink polluted water, breathe polluted air and as stressed as we are free radicals and toxins are not theoretical. For Diabetics, these stressors are even more of a factor. The Liver/pancreas combination needed to keep disease at bay is already compromised. Many other stresses, are magnified in Diabetics as well because for instance lack of sleep [with which diabetics have difficulty], increases weight issues and low energy levels resultant contribute to lack of energy=less exercise, more weight, and so it goes. The over-worked Liver can't cope with its toxin-load and that is another addition to stress.

to wit:
Cortisol stress hormone when released has been shown to cause weight gain just from being under stress, especially in the mid-section. Leptin-the protein hormone is the full button; tells your body you do not need more food, and is released more efficiently when we are rested. The Ghrelin petide hormone; the one that increases appetite, is released when you are not rested.

So what can we do? First exercise is great, add a few leglifts when you are just standing around, do the belly/butt tucks, take the stairs, go to the store on your bike on occasion. Just keep moving around, exercise doesn't have to be all at once or the same kinds of things.

Take Antioxidants, this will help flush the pollutants/free radicals/toxins away. Just a quick refresher, the antioxidants create a chemical bond with the free rads and pull them out in the waste. If you aren't eating an optimal diet then Glutathione-the master antioxidant is a great helper to counteract many diabetic complications.

A parish priest was being honored at a dinner on the 25th anniversary of his arrival in that parish. A leading local politician, who was a member of the congregation, was chosen to make the presentation and to give a little speech at the dinner, but he was delayed in traffic; so the priest decided to say his own few words as they waited.
" You will understand ," he said" the seal of the confessional can never be broken, however I got my first impression of the parish from the first confession I heard here. I can only hint vaguely about this, but when I came here 25 years ago I thought I had been assigned to the most terrible place. The very first chap who entered my confessional told me how he had stolen a television set, and when stopped by the police had almost murdered the officer! Father, he told me he had embezzled money from his place of business and had an affair with the boss's wife. I was appalled! But as the days went on I learned that my people were not all like that, and I had, indeed, come to a fine parish full of understanding and loving people."
Just as the priest finished his talk, the politician arrived full of apologies at being late. He immediately began the presentation and give his talk.
"I'll never forget the first day our parish priest arrived at the parish." said the politician, "In fact, I had the honor of being the first one to go to him in confession."

Xtend™ Isomaltulose- A new family of slowly digestible sweeteners

Sign-up for the weekly newsletter digest that is packed with the latest news in healthy living, you need this resource interactive
write to me at webriter@verizon.net or mark_my_bailey@yahoo.com.
*******Isomaltulose new artificial sweetener*********
Isomaltulose also known as Palatinose and NRGylose,What the promoters say about it:
Functionality:
(1)
*Same energy value as sucrose, but much slower digested and completely absorbed resulting in sustained release of energy to the body
*Significant lower blood glucose and insulin response compared to glucose and sucrose
*Non-cariogenic, safe for teeth
*Well tolerated without side effects

(2)
The FDA has ruled that the synthetic sweetener isomaltulose does not promote tooth decay, thereby giving the green light to manufacturers making certain claims on products that contain it.
The FDA concluded that isomaltulose, marketed by the German company Palatint as Palatinose, is non-cariogenic, meaning that it does not lead to tooth decay. Because of the strong molecular bonds holding the sweetener's molecules together, it cannot break down into its component sugars (including glucose) in the mouth, but only in the more vigorous digestion processes that occur later (such as in the stomach). This means that it does not provide any food source for plaque bacteria in the mouth.

So it does not promote tooth decay so it's ok by the FDA? It is highly processed/refined from sugar- the body can't recognize it as food so it will be treated like a pollutant, thereby adding to the toxin-load with which our over-worked livers must deal.

Overheard at a party recently spoken by two people fighting for good health with the 'help' of Pharmaceuticals.

1,"I only use Splenda to make these yummy treats."
2,"Yes, me too, I can trust it because it is made from Sugar."

Has everyone forgotten that sugar is also called Killer White Sugar.

(3)
This excessive intake of sugar in modern society can be seen in the increasing incidence of such degenerative diseases as heart disease. Two out of five people in the US are now suffering from heart disease. Refined sugar also directly affects our thinking abilities through the destruction of the intestinal bacteria which are responsible for the creation of B-Vitamins necessary for the synthesis of glutamic acid which is directly involve in the mental activities carried on the brain. A lack of this component can result in a lack of memory and ability to think clearly.

Constant sugar consumption has also been linked to Parkinson and Alzheimer’s disease. Complete removal from the diet has seen stunning recoveries from cancer, diabetes and heart illnesses

(4)
The first observed effect of eating too much sugars (and other carbohydrates of high GI) is the formation of a lot of fats (obesity) a predisposing factor to Diabetes mellitus
Some authers exaggerate the impact of eating carbohydrates by describing the most severe complications of uncontrolled diabetes like blindness, limb amputation, stroke...etc, yet we can point to some common known impacts of eating sugars on health, which in themselves may be
predisposing factors to some other effects, these are :

The Concert
When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that the child was missing. Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out "Twinkle,Twinkle Little Star."
At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy's ear, "Don't quit.""Keep playing."
Then, leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left hand and began filling
in a bass part. Soon his right arm reached around to the other side of the child,
and he added a running obbligato. Together, the old master and the young novice transformed what could have been a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience. The audience was so mesmerized that they couldn't recall what else the great master played. Only the classic, " Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."
Perhaps that's the way it is with God. What we can accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. We try our best, but the results aren't always graceful flowing music. However, with the hand of the Master, our life's work can truly be beautiful.
The next time you set out to accomplish great feats, listen carefully. You may hear the voice of the Master, whispering in your ear, Don't quit." "Keep playing."
May you feel His arms around you and know that His hands are there, helping you
turn your feeble attempts into true masterpieces.
Remember, God doesn't seem to
call the equipped, rather, He equips the 'called.' Life is more accurately measured by the lives you touch than by the things you acquire. So touch someone by passing this little message along. May God bless you and be with you always! and remember,
"Don't quit." "Keep playing."

Deputy Gomer
The local sheriff was looking for a deputy, so Gomer went in to try out for the job.
"Okay," the sheriff drawled, "Gomer, what is 1 and 1?" "11" he replied.
The sheriff thought to himself, "That's not what I meant, but he's right."
"What two days of the week start with the letter 'T'?" "Today and tomorrow."
The sheriff was again surprised that Gomer supplied a correct answer that he had never thought of himself.
"Now Gomer, listen carefully: Who killed Abraham Lincoln?"
Gomer looked a little surprised himself, then thought really hard for a minute and finally admitted, "I don't know."
"Well, why don't you go home and work on that one for a while?"
So, Gomer wandered over to the barbershop where his pals were waiting to hear the results of the interview. Gomer was exultant. "It went great! First day on the job and I'm already working on a murder case!"

The mystic chose the thermos bottle.
"Why a thermos bottle?" the others asked.
"Because the thermos keeps hot liquids hot in winter and cold liquids cold in summer."
"Yes -- so what?"
"Think about it." said the mystic reverently. That little bottle -- how does it know?"

MY PERSONAL TIPS FOR EATING HEALTHIER

Sign-up for the weekly newsletter digest that is packed with the latest news in healthy living, you need this resource interactive
write to me at webriter@verizon.net or mark_my_bailey@yahoo.com.
*************EATING FOR BETTER HEALTH****************
<>First buy better foods
I prefer not to have foods in my home to tempt so this is what I buy to eat: Fresh veggies, grown locally if possibly; no Genetically modified products, no, processed foods [yes, I'm glad I can read a label but I don't buy any food with a label, fruits and vegetables are best it's best to eat foods in the cruciferous* family but all brightly colored produce is recommended.
Eating foods with an alkalizing pH really helps reduce inflammation see why and for food lists Acid alkaline revisited

<>Second Cooking better for healthy meals
Most vegetables can be eaten raw, and for better enzyme production raw is best. If you must cook them lightly steam them, a bit of lemon juice will bring out the lovely colors.For meats it is recommended that for reduced Acrylamide production cook slowly on low heats. see Acrylamides in our foods.

<>Eating for better health
Chewing our foods thoroughly is best to mix the bits of food well with the enzymes our body makes to aid our digestion. for more information see: Mastication; A frank discussion A good rule of thumb on the kinds of things to eat is: 1/3 raw, 70% alkalizing, mostly non-inflammatory foods see: A great list to tell you which are the best foods [and a list of the worst too] to keep you pain-free and feeling better It is recommended that we eat less meat and much more vegetables and fruits. Do not wash foods down with any liquids, Avoid caffeine, soda pop [do a search on how bad every ingredient in it is: It ruins health]

<>A few odd bits for more healthy living.
~Rid the house of breathable toxins, find out what is out there that is harmful and avoid it.Toxicity and obesity
~exercise
~eliminate all grains
~eat nothing with High Fructose Corn Syrup or MSG
~drink purified water. tap water includes all the medications other people take, it stays in our water supply
~eat moderate amounts of foods
~add nuts and seeds to the diet for a filling & Nutritious snack
~Avoid all sweetners especially 'Killer White Sugar' and Aspartame, although Molasses and Raw honey do have some benefits.
~eat organically fed and non-chemically enhanced meats.
~wild caught fish is best
~wild game is better than feed lot meat.
~Due to the depleted soils and compromised I strongly recommend Supplementation in any areas I might be deficient in.

*cruciferous vegetables also called brassicas
kale collard greens Chinese broccoli cabbage Brussels sprouts kohlrabi
broccoli cauliflower wild broccoli bok choy mizuna Rapini (broccoli rabe) flowering cabbage chinese cabbage turnip root rutabaga Siberian kale canola/rape seeds
wrapped heart mustard seeds, tatsoi Ethiopian mustard radish horseradish
Real wasabi rocket garden cress

Personally I adore broccoli and rutabegas and hate Kale, my daughter loves Kohlrabi , I'm sure you'll find something to fall in love with on this list
I am taking CellPower™, because it helps me to maintain a healthy Alkaline pH in my body, it adds enzymes I might not be getting adequate amounts of, and helps keep my immune system beefed up because it is anti-bacterial, anti-viral- and anti-fungal.
I am also taking many minerals, and Omega-3's:
FLAX SEED OIL for my colon, but of course
~Glutathione-the master antioxidant is a great helper to counteract many diabetic complications.
~4 essential minerals for diabetics
~SELENIUMhelps immune system,fights infection and aids circulation

~~~
How To Become a Blues Musician
1. Most Blues begin "Woke up this mornin'..."
2. "I got a good woman" is a bad way to begin the Blues, unless you
stick something nasty in the next line like, "I got a good woman, with
the meanest face in town."
3. The Blues is simple. After you get the first line right, repeat it.
Then find something that rhymes... sort of: "Got a good woman with the
meanest face in town. Yes, I got a good woman with the meanest face in
town. Got teeth like Margaret Thatcher, and she weigh 500 pound."
4. The Blues is not about choice. You stuck in a ditch, you stuck in a
ditch - ain't no way out.
5. Blues cars: Chevys, Fords, Cadillacs and broken-down trucks. Blues
don't travel in Volvos, BMWs, or Sport Utility Vehicles. Most Blues
transportation is a Greyhound bus or a southbound train. Jet aircraft
and state-sponsored motor pools ain't even in the running. Walkin' plays
a major part in the blues lifestyle. So does fixin' to die.
6. Teenagers can't sing the Blues. They ain't fixin' to die yet. Adults
sing the Blues. In Blues, "adulthood" means being old enough to get the
electric chair if you shoot a man in Memphis.
7. Blues can take place in New York City but not in Hawaii or any place
in Canada. Hard times in Minneapolis or Seattle is probably just
clinical depression. Chicago, St. Louis, and Kansas City are still the
best places to have the Blues. You cannot have the blues in any place
that don't get rain.
8. A man with male pattern baldness ain't the blues. A woman with male
pattern baldness is. Breaking your leg cause you were skiing is not the
blues. Breaking your leg 'cause a alligator be chomping on it is.
9. You can't have no Blues in a office or a shopping mall. The lighting
is wrong. Go outside to the parking lot or sit by the dumpster.
10. Good places for the Blues:
a. highway
b. jailhouse
c. empty bed
d. bottom of a whiskey glass
Bad places for the Blues:
a. Nordstrom's
b. gallery openings
c. Ivy League institutions
d. golf courses
11. No one will believe it's the Blues if you wear a suit, 'less you
happen to be a old ethnic person, and you slept in it.
12. Do you have the right to sing the Blues? Yes, if:
a. you older than dirt
b. you blind
c. you shot a man in Memphis
d. you can't be satisfied
No, if:
a. you have all your teeth
b. you were once blind but now can see
c. the man in Memphis lived
d. you have a 401K or trust fund
13. Blues is not a matter of color. It's a matter of bad luck. Tiger Woods cannot sing the blues. Sonny Liston could. Ugly white people also got a leg up on the blues.
14. If you ask for water and your darlin' give you gasoline, it's the Blues.
Other acceptable Blues beverages are:
a. cheap wine
b. whiskey or bourbon
c. muddy water
d. nasty black coffee
The following are NOT Blues beverages:
a. Perrier
b. Chardonnay
c. Snapple
d. Slim Fast
15. If death occurs in a cheap motel or a shotgun shack, it's a Blues
death. Stabbed in the back by a jealous lover is another Blues way to
die. So is the electric chair, substance abuse and dying lonely on a
broken down cot.
You can't have a Blues death if you die during a tennis match or while
getting liposuction.
16. Some Blues names for women:
a. Sadie
b. Big Mama
c. Bessie
d. Fat River Dumpling
17. Some Blues names for men:
a. Joe
b. Willie
c. Little Willie
d. Big Willie
18. Persons with names like Michelle, Amber, Debbie, and Heather can't
sing the Blues no matter how many men they shoot in Memphis.
19. Make your own Blues name Starter Kit:
a. name of physical infirmity (Blind, Cripple, Lame, etc.)
b. first name (see above) plus name of fruit: Lemon, Lime, Kiwi, etc.)
c. last name of President (Jefferson, Johnson, Fillmore, etc.)
For example:
Blind Lime Jefferson,
Jakeleg Lemon Johnson or
Cripple Kiwi Fillmore, etc. (Well, maybe not "Kiwi.")
20. I don't care how tragic your life -- if you own a computer, you
cannot sing the blues.
21. People with the Blues eat barbecue, corn bread, beans, and their
last meal.
22. Good blues instruments: guitar, slide trombone, saxophone, trumpet, and
harmonica.
23. Bad blues instruments: everything else, especially the oboe, French
horn, and viola.
24. You got the blues if you have lumbago or a bad back. You don't have
the blues if you have a mental disorder ending in "syndrome."
25. Black Jack is a good blues game. Keno is not a good blues game.
26. Blues jobs include working on the railroad, picking cotton, musician, or just got fired.
27. Blues animals include the junkyard dog and mule (not donkey).
28. Epitaph on a blues musician's tombstone: "I didn't wake up this morning"
My blessing for today is that I wish you enlightenment, healthy self-esteem and a long healthy life.
TOXICITY AND OBESITY- CAUSE AND EFFECT?
Sign-up for the weekly newsletter digest that is packed with the latest news in healthy living, you need this resource interactive
write to me at webriter@verizon.net or mark_my_bailey@yahoo.com.
**************TOXICITY AND OBESITY*******************
The obesity causes-genetics,environment, lifestyle. It is being seen more and more that certain toxins are a disruption of key mechicanisms in weight management.
The key biological systems involved are neuro-endocrine-immune systems the mitochondrial energetics and redox status.
Foreign molecules are causing obesity, this includes medications like:
psychotropics in particular, monoamine oxidase[MAO} inhibitors, Lithium, valprate,
Mirtazapine,clozapine,olanzapine, some selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors [SSRIs] such as Fluoxetine, seraline, and paroxetine actually promote weight gain through various mechanisms.
We spend so much money to develop the magic pill to cause weight gain, but are defeating the purpose, because if medications cause weight gain then most certainly envirnmental toxins will do the same.
Why? Because they interfer with metabolism, overload hepatic function [detoxification is made more difficult], and disrupt central weight-control systems [already in the body are certain triggers to keep our weight balanced], they promote insulin resistance, alter circadian-rhythms, increase inflamation, interfere with thyrid function, damage the mitochndria; All of which causes weight gain.
We live in a virtual chemical soup of toxins, our exposure comes through our food supply, our air, the VOC gasses in the homes and offices that surround our bodies every day. In fact Eighty thousand new chemicals have been introduced since the year 1900. Most of these have never been tested for their cumulative effects on living tissue.
We can test for these various toxins but unfortunately they are quickly moved by the body to storage sites like inside of fat cells or in our muscles and bones, or organs; so any test we do on the blood and urine will underestimate the amount of toxins we have circulating and purcolating in our bodies at any given time. The body does this storing to preserve itself. If all those poisons were running around loose in our bodies it would kill us. Now you see why our bodies hang onto the fat it has accumulated, because releasing the fats releases the poisons.
The body is also stressed by Internal toxins, those that arise from bacteria and yeasts in the gut: and leading to increased inflamation and oxidation; including endotoxins, toxic amines, toxic bile, various carcinogenic [it means it produces the atmosphere needed for cancer to begin] substances like putrescine and cadaverine.
***
EWE! What are they?
putrescine-[from Wikpedia]related to cadaverine; both are produced by the breakdown of amino acids in living and dead organisms. The two compounds are largely responsible for the foul odor of putrefying flesh, but also contribute to the odor of such processes as bad breath and bacterial vaginosis.
All of this is what your body manufacturers in response to things like Candidiasis.
cadaverine-[also from Wikipedia] is a foul-smelling molecule produced by protein hydrolysis during putrefaction of animal tissue. It is responsible for the smell of urine and semin.
***
WHAT CAN WE DO TO DETOX?
>Drink lots of pure water, eat more fiber. This floods and pushes out the toxic stuff and we get rid of it.
>eat garlic every day. It purifies.
>eat more beans, fruits and nuts, the same effect as the first two.
>probiotics can help, even fermented foods, sauerkraut, kefir, Kombucho tea. Make our bowels more healty to get rid of toxins from Candidiasis etc.
>citrus peel, caraway and dill oil contain limonene a toxin-fighter
>eat lots of fresh whole vegetables, preferably locally grown and non-GM.
>Sweat a lot, it rids the body of toxins. Exercise and saunas work well for this.
PREVENTION
>eat cruciferous veggies day, brocolli, cauliflower, etc. getting healthy really helps
>juice from celery, carrots, cilantro,beets, parsley, ginger
>take detox teas with burdock root, dandilon root,ginger, licorice, sasparilla, cardomom seed, cinnamon bark and other herbs
>detox the Liver every few months.
REDUCE EXPOSURE
>x-rays, microwaves, dust and allergans, any aluminum, cigarette smoke, automobile exhaust.
>Air out your dry cleaning before wearing
>have houseplants to clean your air
>filter your air with HEPA filters
GET TESTED
>for reduced Glutathine levels
>hidden infections [Lyme, H.Pylori, etc.]
>heavy metals [hair analysis]
>mold and spore antibodies
>chemical antibodies
I continue to take the following which are really helping me to heal:
CellPower™ to cover the basics, also
FLAX SEED OIL for my colon, but of course
~Glutathione-the master antioxidant is a great helper to counteract many diabetic complications.
~~~Jokes And inspirations~~~
A cowboy named Bud was overseeing his herd in a remote mountainous pasture in California when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced out of a dust cloud towards him.
The driver, a young man in a Brioni suit, Gucci shoes, RayBan sunglasses and YSL tie, leans out the window and asks the cowboy, 'If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, Will you give me a calf?'
Bud looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, 'Sure, Why not?'
The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer,connects it to his Cingular RAZR V3 cell phone, and surfs to a NASA page on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo.
The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop and exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg , Germany .
Within seconds, he receives an email on his Palm Pilot that the image has been processed and the data stored. He then accesses a MS-SQL database through an ODBC connected Excel spreadsheet with email on his Blackberry and, after a few minutes, receives a response.
Finally, he prints out a full-color, 150-page report on his hi-tech, miniaturized HP LaserJet printer and finally turns to the cowboy and says, 'You have exactly 1,586 cows and calves.'
'That's right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves,' says Bud.
He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on amused as the young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car.
Then the Bud says to the young man, 'Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is, will you give me back my calf?'
The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, 'Okay, why not?'
'You're a Congressman for the U.S. Government', says Bud.
'Wow! That's correct,' says the yuppie, 'but how did you guess that?'
'No guessing required.' answered the cowboy. 'You showed up here even though nobody called you; you want to get paid for an answer I already knew,to a question I never asked. You tried to show me how much smarter than me you are; and you don't know a thing about cows...this is a
herd of sheep. . . .
Now give me back my dog.

Three Wishes
Three men, an editor, a photographer, and a journalist are covering a political convention in Miami. They decide to walk up and down the beach during their lunch hour. Halfway up the beach, they stumbled upon a lamp. As they rub the lamp a genie appears and says "Normally I would grant you three wishes, but since there are three of you, I will grant you each one wish."
The photographer went first. "I would like to spend the rest of my life living in a huge house in St. Thomas with no money worries." The genie granted him his wish and sent him on off to St. Thomas.
The journalist went next. "I would like to spend the rest of my life living on a huge yacht cruising the Mediterranean with no money worries." The genie granted him his wish and sent him off to the Mediterranean.
Last, but not least, it was the editor's turn. "And what would your wish be?" asked the genie.
"I want them both back after lunch" replied the editor, "The deadline for tomorrow's newspaper is in about ten

hours."

Responsible
Employer to applicant: "In this job we need someone who is responsible."
Applicant: "I'm the one you want. On my last job, every time anything went wrong, they said I was responsible."

~~~
Recently, I was diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D -Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.
This is how it manifests:
I decide to water my garden.
As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide it needs washing.
As I start toward the garage, I notice mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mail box earlier.
I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car. I lay my car keys on the table, put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, and notice that the can is full.
So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the garbage first.
But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first.
I take my check book off the table, and see that there is only one check left.
My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Coke I'd been drinking.
I'm going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the Coke aside so that I don't accidentally knock it over.
The Coke is getting warm, and I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.
As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--they need water.
I put the Coke on the counter and discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning.
I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers.
I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote. Someone left it on the kitchen table.
I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I'll be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers.
I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor.
So, I set the remote back on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill.
Then, I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do.
At the end of the day:
the car isn't washed
the bills aren't paid
there is a warm can of Coke still sitting on the counter
the flowers don't have enough water,
there is still only 1 check in my check book,
I can't find the remote,
I can't find my glasses,
and I don't remember what I did with the car keys.
Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all damn day, and I'm really tired.
I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail.
Do me a favor. Forward this message to everyone you know, because I don't remember who the heck I've sent it to.
Don't laugh -- if this isn't you yet, your day is coming!
~~~
My wish for you for today is that you will be blessed with all the multi-tasking skills you need, that you are constantly shadowed by Grace and Mercy, Health will be your reputation, and wealth will fill your pockets.

----THE REST OF THE STORY

Sign-up for the weekly newsletter digest that is packed with the latest news in healthy living, you need this resource interactive
write to me at webriter@verizon.net or mark_my_bailey@yahoo.com.
**************THE REST OF THE STORY*******************************
I used to hunt thru' old books on herbal cures and newer publications for hints of old remedies.

I'd get junk mail with headlines like:
~LOWER YOUR BLOOD SUGAR WITH A COMMON HERB FROM YOUR CUPBOARD.see pg 345
~WHAT OLD-FASHIONED 'MEDICINE' WILL GET RID OF THOSE ACHES AND PAINS? see page 421
~LOWER YOUR CHOLESTEROL LEVELS WITH THESE EASY TO TAKE COMMON FOODS.see page 112

Now all of those are a come-on to get you to buy their book, but I'll tell you how to do all of those things for free and give you the whole story, because none of those things are a real cure, they are mere hints of tiny helps to point you in the right direction to getting healthy. No, I didn't say healthier, I said Healthy, AND IT'S NOT TOO LATE!

First to answer the three questions from the junk mail, it is cinnamon, cod lover oil, Garlic and onions. But There is so much more to tell about each one, it's not just sprinkle a bitty bit of cinnamon on your morning toast, for instance, it requires about a teaspoon. And make sure your cinnamon is pure. Your body won't thank you for loading up on pesticide-laden spices, nor Genetically modified foods or, highly processed ones, If your cinnamon has been cooked or irradiated it might be worthless......

Here is anther tip for lowering blood glucose, I juice three stalks of celery per day it really takes the blood sugar levels down quickly. I eat a protein breakfast with an apple snack so I'm balancing my food groups without a lot of counting and bother, I'm doing a lo-carb, emphasis on raw veggie/fruits. I'm doing a purifying diet this week so we'll see how it goes. I know I feel so much better eating very little, I also know I may be terribly hungry but it's only a week, but then it might stretch out more....

I hear people [oh yes and myself] wingeing about oh I'll miss my "this food" or "that food", "I can't give up my pizza." "I love sweets way too much to quit eating cake[insert your favorite here]". "I just can't go without my MSG laden foods, they taste so good."

But we [yes, I include myself in this] can make this decision. Will I cut down on the bad stuff, even cut it out to live? Will I rather be puking my guts up and running to the bathroom with diarrhea every few minutes with Chemo-therapy or radiation as I watch my self slip away,[oh no, it's not a pleasant death I assure you] or see my body turn into one huge pain factory? Would I rather spend my last five years drooling on myself at the mercy of strangers in a wheel chair?

My parents [both sets] died after prolonged illnesses [prolonged means it took a
lo-o-ong time to die BTW] they all had Cancer, my adoptive parents and my birth/step parents in great pain and heartache. My step-father hurt so bad the last few weeks he cried constantly. My birth mother, who was also diabetic and had refused to deal properly with her diabetes [her home was filled with candy goodies, when I cleaned it up after she died] lay in a hospital bed surrounded by filth, [a bad nursing home] she finally contracted MRSA, was too weak to fight it and knew nothing but pain her final five weeks. She had wizened up to a tiny frail bald thing, in her bed the last time I saw her.

So, here's the thing. Either we accept that life is worth living, oh; and the healthier food actually tastes better when you've lost the toxins from the
modern-diet foods,and we make a change towards healthier foods, and the change can be as gradual as you'd like; depending on, of course how sick you really are.

Diabetic help
(1)
=>Eating in a way that balances your blood sugar, reduces inflammation and oxidative stress, and improves your liver detoxification is the key to preventing and reversing insulin resistance and diabetes.

=>It is a way of eating that includes anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and detoxifying foods. It includes plenty of omega-3 fats and olive oil, beans, nuts, and seeds.

=>All these foods help prevent and reverse diabetes and insulin resistance. This is the way of eating than turns on all the right gene messages, promotes a healthy metabolism, and prevents aging and age-related diseases like diabetes and heart disease.

Here are more specifics.

Meal Timing

Eat protein for breakfast every day, such as whole omega-3 eggs, a soy protein shake, or nut butters
Eat something every 4 hours to keep your insulin and glucose levels normal
Eat small protein snacks in the morning and afternoon, such as a handful of almonds
Finish eating at least 2 to 3 hours before bed. If you have a snack earlier in the day, you won’t be as hungry, even if you eat a little later

Meal Composition

=>Controlling the glycemic load of your meals is very important
You can do this by combining adequate protein, fats, and whole-food carbohydrates from vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds, and fruit at every meal or snack
It is most important to avoid eating quickly absorbed carbohydrates alone, as they raise your sugar and insulin levels

Travel Suggestions

=>Two handfuls of almonds in a zip-lock bag make a useful emergency snack. You can eat them with a piece of fruit. Remember, real food is the best.
Choose from a variety of the following real, whole foods:

=>Choose organic produce and animal products whenever possible.

=>Eat high-quality protein, such as fish -- especially fatty, cold-water fish like salmon, sable, small halibut, herring, and sardines -- and shellfish.
Cold-water fish such as salmon, halibut, and sable contain an abundance of beneficial essential fatty acids, omega-3 oils that reduce inflammation. Smaller wild Alaskan salmon, sable, and halibut that are low in toxins. Canned wild salmon is a great “emergency” food.
Eat up to eight [omega-3] eggs a week.

=>Create meals that are high in low-glycemic legumes such as lentils, chickpeas These foods slow the release of sugars into the bloodstream, which helps prevent the excess insulin release that can lead to health concerns like obesity, high blood pressure, and heart problems.

=>Eat a cornucopia of fresh fruits and vegetables teeming with phytonutrients like carotenoids, flavonoids, and polyphenols, which are associated with a lower incidence of nearly all health problems, including obesity and age-related disease.

=>Eat more low-glycemic vegetables, such as asparagus, broccoli, kale, spinach, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts.

=>Berries, cherries, peaches, plums, rhubarb, pears, and apples are optimal fruits. Cantaloupes and other melons, grapes, and kiwifruit are suitable; however, they contain more sugar. You can use organic frozen berries (such as those from Cascadian Farms) in your protein shakes.

=>Focus on anti-inflammatory foods, including wild fish and other sources of omega-3 fats, red and purple berries (these are rich in polyphenols), dark green leafy vegetables, orange sweet potatoes, and nuts.

=>Eat more antioxidant-rich foods, including orange and yellow vegetables, dark green leafy vegetables (kale, collards, spinach, etc.), anthocyanidins (berries, beets, grapes, pomegranate), purple grapes, blueberries, bilberries, cranberries, and cherries. In fact, antioxidants are in all colorful fruits and vegetables.

=>Include detoxifying foods in your diet, such as cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, kale, collards, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, bok choy, Chinese cabbage, and Chinese broccoli), green tea, watercress, dandelion greens, cilantro, artichokes, garlic, citrus peels, pomegranate, and even cocoa.

=>Season your food with herbs such as rosemary, ginger, and turmeric, which are powerful antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and detoxifiers.
Avoid excessive quantities of meat.

=>Eat lean organic or grass-fed animal products, when possible. These include eggs, beef, chicken, pork, lamb, buffalo, and ostrich.

I even was able to buy Buffalo meat at Safeway for a while. I'm hoping to raise my own chickens in the near future.

This source claimed that eating soybean products is good for you but I must demur here. see Soy; healthfood or hazard?

I personally have found I'm also sensitive to grains so I've eliminated them from my diet. Dr. Hyman recommends eating rye as it will help normalize Insulin resistance, but I ate two slices of rye toast for breakfast for years without much help, but it might be a good thing for someone else....I am on a very lo-carb diet anyway so I'm not eating any bread.

THE GOOD NEWS- You don't have to give up fat, yes, you heard it right, the scientists have it all wrong, well no trans fats for sure, but the saturated and polyunsaturated fats are realy good for you, remember the Essential fatty acids? We do need lots of it[did you know our brains are made up of mostly fat?]. Truly I kid you not. BUT eliminate all those vegetable oils they say are good for you, they are not. I use only coconut oil, and if I want a salad olive oil for dressing, [I never heat up any oil except for coconut oil], all others become toxic when heated.

I continue to take the following which are really helping me to heal:
CellPower™ to cover the basics, also
FLAX SEED OIL for my colon, but of course
~Glutathione-the master antioxidant is a great helper to counteract many diabetic complications.
~4 essential minerals for diabetics
~SELENIUMhelps immune system,fights infection and aids circulation
~MAGNESIUMhelps to relax you, aids stress and muscle relaxing
~CHROMIUMimproves insulin sensitivity, and helps lower blood sugar.
~ZINC especially to help you heal.
~coconut oil

for the Omega-3~6 balance and losing weight.

Also I really have to give you one little miracle I know to be true: Cinnamon, but it needs to be pure and at least a teaspoon per meal to do any good. It really lowers my blood glucose levels. OH AND SO DOES CELERY, EAT LOTS OF CELERY!

GOD LIVES UNDER THE BED

I envy Kevin. My brother Kevin thinks God lives under his bed. At least that's what I heard him say one night.
He was praying out loud in his dark bedroom, and I stopped to listen, "Are you there, God?" he said. "Where are you? Oh, I see. Under the bed..."
I giggled softly and tiptoed off to my own room. Kevin's unique perspectives are often a source of amusement. But that night something else lingered long after the humor. I realized for the first time the very different world Kevin lives in.
He was born 30 years ago, mentally disabled as a result of difficulties during labor. Apart from his size (he's 6-foot-2); there are few ways in which he is an adult.
He reasons and communicates with the capabilities of a 7-year-old, and he always will. He will probably always believe that God lives under his bed, that Santa Claus is the one who fills the space under our tree every Christmas and that airplanes stay up in the sky because angels carry them.
I remember wondering if Kevin realizes he is different. Is he ever dissatisfied with his monotonous life?
Up before dawn each day, off to work at a workshop for the disabled, home to walk our cocker spaniel, return to eat his favorite macaroni and cheese for dinner, and later to bed.
The only variation in the entire scheme is laundry, when he hovers excitedly over the washing machine like a mother with her newborn child.
He does not seem dissatisfied.
He lopes out to the bus every morning at 7:05, eager for a day of simple work.
He wrings his hands excitedly while the water boils on the stove before dinner, and he stays up late twice a week to gather our dirty laundry for his next day's laundry chores.
And Saturdays - oh, the bliss of Saturdays! That's the day my Dad takes Kevin to the airport to have a soft drink, watch the planes land, and speculate loudly on the destination of each passenger inside. "That one's goin' to Chi-car-go!" Kevin shouts as he claps his hands.
His anticipation is so great he can hardly sleep on Friday nights.
And so goes his world of daily rituals and weekend field trips.
He doesn't know what it means to be discontent.
His life is simple.
He will never know the entanglements of wealth of power, and he does not care what brand of clothing he wears or what kind of food he eats. His needs have always been met, and he never worries that one day they may not be.
His hands are diligent. Kevin is never so happy as when he is working. When he unloads the dishwasher or vacuums the carpet, his heart is completely in it.
He does not shrink from a job when it is begun, and he does not leave a job until it is finished. But when his tasks are done, Kevin knows how to relax.
He is not obsessed with his work or the work of others. His heart is pure.
He still believes everyone tells the truth, promises must be kept, and when you are wrong, you apologize instead of argue.
Free from pride and unconcerned with appearances, Kevin is not afraid to cry when he is hurt, angry or sorry. He is always transparent, always sincere. And he trusts God.
Not confined by intellectual reasoning, when he comes to Christ, he comes as a child. Kevin seems to know God - to really be friends with Him in a way that is difficult for an "educated" person to grasp. God seems like his closest companion.
In my moments of doubt and frustrations with my Christianity I envy the security Kevin has in his simple faith.
It is then that I am most willing to admit that he has some divine knowledge that rises above my mortal questions.
It is then I realize that perhaps he is not the one with the handicap. I am. My obligations, my fear, my pride, my circumstances - they all become disabilities when I do not trust them to God's care.
Who knows if Kevin comprehends things I can never learn? After all, he has spent his whole life in that kind of innocence, praying after dark and soaking up the goodness and love of God.
And one day, when the mysteries of heaven are opened, and we are all amazed at how close God really is to our hearts, I'll realize that God heard the simple prayers of a boy who believed that God lived under his bed.
Kevin won't be surprised at all!

CATHOLIC HORSES

One day while he was at the track playing the ponies and all but losing his shirt, Mitch noticed a priest who stepped out onto the track and blessed the forehead of one of the horses lining up for the 4th race.
Lo and behold, that horse - a very long shot - won the race.
Before the next race, as the horses began lining up, Mitch watched with interest the old priest step onto the track. Sure enough, as the 5th race horses came to the starting gate the priest made a blessing on the forehead of one of the horses.
Mitch made a beeline for a betting window and placed a small bet on the horse. Again, even though it was another long shot, the horse the priest had blessed won the race.
Mitch collected his winnings, and anxiously waited to see which horse the priest would bless for the 6th race. The priest again blessed a horse.
Mitch bet big on it, and it won. Mitch was elated. As the races continued the priest kept blessing long shot horses, and each one ended up coming in first.
Bye and bye, Mitch was pulling in some serious money. By the last race, he knew his wildest dreams were going to come true. He made a quick dash to the ATM, withdrew all his savings, and awaited the priest's blessing that
would tell him which horse to bet on.
True to his pattern, the priest stepped onto the track for the last race and blessed the forehead of an old nag that was the longest shot of the day. Mitch also observed the priest blessing the eyes, ears, and hooves of the old nag.
Mitch knew he had a winner and bet every cent he owned on the old nag. He then watched dumbfounded as the old nag come in dead last. Mitch, in a state of shock, made his way down to the track area where the priest was.
Confronting the old priest he demanded, "Father! What happened? All day long you blessed horses and they all won. Then in the last race, the horse you blessed lost by a Kentucky mile. Now, thanks to you I've lost every cent of my savings - all of it!".
The priest nodded wisely and with sympathy. "Son," he said, "that's the problem with you Protestants, you can't tell the difference between a simple blessing and last rites."

Ancient Artifact?

A little boy opened the big and old family Bible with fascination, looking at the old pages as he turned them. Then something fell out of the Bible and he picked up and looked at it closely. It was an old leaf from a tree. The leaf had been pressed in between pages. "Momma, look what I found", the boy called out. "What have you got there, dear?" his mother asked. With astonishment in the young boy's voice he answered: "It's Adam's suit!!!!!"

A mom was concerned about her kindergarten son walking to school. He didn't want his mother to walk
With him. She wanted to give him the feeling that he had some independence but yet know that he was safe.
So she had an idea of how to handle it. She asked a neighbor if she would please follow him to school
In the mornings, staying at a distance, so he probably wouldn't notice her.
The neighbor said that since she was up early with her toddler anyway, it would be a good way for them to get some exercise as well, so she agreed.
The next school day, the neighbor and her little girl set out following behind Timmy as he walked to school with another neighbor boy he knew. She did this for the whole week.
As the boys walked and chatted, kicking stones and twigs, Timmy's little friend noticed the same lady was following them as she seemed to do every day all week. Finally he said to Timmy, "Have you noticed that lady following us to school all week? Do you know her?"
Timmy nonchalantly replied, "Yeah, I know who she is."
The friend said, "Well, who is she?"
"That's just Shirley Goodnest," Timmy replied, "and her daughter Marcy."
" Shirley Goodnest? Who the heck is she and why is she following us? "
"Well," Timmy explained, "every night my Mom makes me say the 23rd Psalm with my prayers, 'cuz she worries about me so much. And in the Psalm, it says, ' Shirley Goodnest and Marcy shall follow me all the days of my
Life, so I guess I'll just have to get used to it!"

I wish you a day filled with sunshine and inexplicable joy, a Healthy life and happy family.
