SOY; HEALTH FOOD OR HAZARD

First~All soy is genetically modified and gm foods are not recognized by the body as nourishment, so it's like a drug, an unnatural substance that causes a reaction in the body [the very definition of a drug].

Second~ soy is not a food product and has a foul taste so it is highly processed as well. Another 'food group' to ignore. The only was you could make it worse is by adding MSG [actually it contains a free glumatic acid similar to MSG in it-a neurotoxin and frequently more is added to soy to make it more palatable] and frying it in trans fats.

3-Soy has high levels of phytoestrogens. You can imagine how those estrogens [the female hormone affects males eating it, and how it wars with their own testosterone].

4-It also is loaded with phytic acid-which reduces assimilation of calcium, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc causing major growth development problems in children. Early puberty [under age 8 for many] for girls and late or no development of male puberty attributes].

5-Soy formula given to many infants~ under the banner of it being so healthy~ actually causes a myriad of troubles in them, including reduced vitamin D absorption [the cancer preventative vitamin] and lowered resistance due to environmental hazards and makes for sickly children.

6-The processing of Soy also causes formation of toxic lysinoalanine and highly carcinogenic nitrosamines and kills off any fragile proteins and enzymes it might have had to make it healthy, but now it's a dead substance at best.

7-Soy also contains high levels of aluminum a definite kidney and nervous system toxin. Aluminum also found in Pickles, table salt, and anti-perspirants has been implicated in Alzheimer's, yes, they say it isn't the cause, but the myelin surrounding the nerves and brain cells are loaded with aluminum in Alzheimer's patients.

** You be the judge, if it's worth it to you to load up on aluminum, eating it and cooking with it and smearing it under your arms every day, it's your funeral.**

Back to soy~

Phytoestrogens
The endocrine disruptors in soy.
You've probably heard quite a bit about phytoestrogens. The plant compounds that mimic estrogen are touted by some as miracle agents that will prevent cancer, coronary heart disease and osteoporosis (just to name a few).
But there is a much darker side to these compounds which are phyto-endocrine disruptors by any other name. You'll be shocked to learn that these compounds may actually increase the risk of breast cancer and cause thyroid disease, and angry to discover that soy formulas manufacturers refuse to remove them from their products despite knowing that babies fed soy-formulas risk irreversible damage.

Let's talk a bit about the breast cancer and thyroid danger of soy.

8-CANCER CAUSER:
(2)
Soy phytoestrogens causing cancer? Hold on a minute, what about all the latest research that tells us that soy prevents cancer?! The key arguments in the case for soy as an anti-cancer foodstuff appear based on:
~Crude epidemiology. Mortality rates of certain types of hormone dependent cancers (such as breast and prostate) are lower in Asians. Asians eat lots o soy. Wow, if ~we eat lots of soy we will reduce our risk of cancer too!
Evidence that the soy isoflavone genistein displays anti-cancer properties in vitro. Wow, genistein inhibits the growth of, and kills, cancer cells; let's eat more today!
But long before these anti-cancer claims became common, researchers had noted that phytoestrogens such as genistein could greatly enhance the proliferation of cancer cells.
Confused? Well there's no need to be. it is not uncommon for hormonally active agents, such as the soy phytoestrogens, to act as both estrogens and anti-estrogens. In simple terms this means that they can act to stimulate or inhibit the growth of certain types of cells, such as those found in the human breast.
How do we know whether a compound will have a tendency to stimulate or inhibit cell growth? Well both natural hormones and hormonally active agents can work quite differently in people according primarily to dose and life stage. Contrast adults with children; premenopausal women with menopausal or post-menopausal women; women with breast cancer with women with no abnormal breast tissue growth.
Hence, although you may have heard lots about studies showing the anti-cancer effects of soy you may not have read about the following work:
Phytoestrogen concentration determines effects on DNA synthesis in Human breast cancer cells .
Effects of dietary menhaden oil, soy and cyclooxygenase inhibitor on human breast cancer cell growth
Short-term soy feeding increases breast cancer cell proliferation in pre-menopausal women with a history of benign or malignant breast disease....
in mice, the incidence of uterine adenocarcinoma was 35% for genistein and 31% for DES.

Is that clear? Not to me either, but it boils down to: SOY, leave it alone! Better safe than sorry.

In New Zealand the proclamatin that came from their ministry of health on SOY-BASED INFANT FORMULAS

The Cancer Council of Australia: Soy Cancer Warning
by Clair Weaver (Source: NEWS.com.au) January 14, 2007 12:00
CANCER patients are being warned to avoid foods rich in soy because they can accelerate the growth of tumours.
The Cancer Council NSW will issue guidelines today, warning about the dangers of high-soy diets and soy supplements for cancer patients and those people in remission from cancer.
At particular risk are people suffering from hormone-dependent cancers, including breast and prostate cancer - the two most common types of cancer in Australia.
Cancer survivors are also being urged to avoid high doses of soy, as they may be more vulnerable to a relapse.

THYROID PROBLEMS DUE TO COMSUMPTION OF SOY
9~Soy's phytoestrogens attack the thyroid. [quote]Phytoestrogens - Anti-thyroid agents
We're sick of hearing that there are no harmful effects of phytoestrogens. Phytoestrogens disrupt thyroid function.

Also the soyonline source from New Zealand. Apparently that country is not run by big business' agendas.

(1)
Theodore Kay of the Kyoto University Faculty of Medicine noted in 1988 that 'thyroid enlargement in rats and humans, especially children and women, fed with soybeans has been known for half a century'.
In fact, thyroid problems associated with soy were also well known to bird-breeders, which is how Soy Online Service first became aware of the goitrogenicity of soy.
Well known, but that fact seemed to escape manufacturers of the first commercially available soy formulas. Those formulas were known to cause in goitre in infants and one can only wonder how many other infants were left hypothyroid or suffering from permanent thyroid damage by soy formulas.
The iodine levels in soy formulas were increased and instances of goitre in infants fed these products ceased. However, there appears to have been no attempt to isolate or remove the goitrogenic properties from soy formulas. This is of grave concern because, although elevated iodine levels would have helped to nullify the effects of the goitrogens, the goitrogens would still have been actively suppressing thyroid function in infants. Hence millions of babies (particularly in the United States where soy formula feeding is most common) have needlessly been exposed to goitrogenic agents; Soy Online Service believe that infants fed soy formulas unnecessarily risk abnormal thyroid function and a greater risk of thyroid disease in later life.
So just what are these goitrogenic agents? In 1997 research from the FDA's National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR) showed that the darling of the soy industry, the isoflavone genistein, was a potent inhibitor of Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO); in fact genistein is a more powerful inhibitor of TPO than common anti-thyroid drugs! If genistein could inhibit TPO in vitro, it follows that it could result in an elevation of Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), and a subsequent decrease in thyroxine (T3) in vitro; in other words consumption of the soy isoflavone genistein might result in hypothyroidism and goitre.
Recent research leaves little doubt that dietary isoflavones in soy have a profound effect on thyroid function in humans. A study by Japanese researchers concluded that intake of soy by healthy adults for a long duration caused enlargement of the thyroid and suppressed thyroid function. These researchers studied the effects of feeding 30 g of soybeans per day on thyroid function and found that after one month there was a significant increase in thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) levels in a group of 20 adults (group I) but no change in thyroxine levels.

So my recommendation; if you want to get healthier, lose weight, exercise, eat healthy, real, fresh foods, especially raw ones, avoid all transfats and microwaved foods,

I eat a decent diet and avoid as many pollutants; and processed, gm, or non-foods as possible and therefore have fewer free radicals running around in MY body than most people I meet. I'm losing weight and I feel so much better I know the CellPower™ cellpower~natural cures, natural alternative medicine, body rescue alkalizing, most alkalizing, alkalizing drops, body ph health<br />natural healing, cell health, oxygenate, cellpower, detoxify; has really CHANGED MY LIFE! The only other things I take are::coconut oil

is great for cooking and for continued weight loss. I really notice the difference in my weight control when I'm out of it for a while.
AND:
FLAX SEED OIL for my colon, but of course FLAX SEED OIL is also a great source of omega-3 essential fatty acids for THE BRAIN WHICH IS MOSTLY FAT, DID YOU KNOW THAT? AND YOUR HEART IS MOSTLY WATER!
And one each of the four essential minerals each day:
~SELENIUMhelps immune system, fights infection and aids circulation
~MAGNESIUMhelps to relax you, aids stress and muscle relaxing
~CHROMIUMimproves insulin sensitivity, and helps lower blood sugar.
~ZINC

I wish all of you the robust, vigorous health I'm getting closer to each day.

AFTER BEING MARRIED FOR 44 YEARS, I TOOK A CAREFUL LOOK AT MY WIFE ONE DAY AND SAID, "HONEY, 44 YEARS AGO WE HAD A CHEAP APARTMENT, A CHEAP CAR, SLEPT ON A SOFA BED AND WATCHED A 10-INCH BLACK AND WHITE TV, BUT I GOT TO SLEEP EVERY NIGHT WITH A HOT 25-YEAR-OLD GAL.

NOW I HAVE A $500,000 HOME, A $45,000 CAR, NICE BIG BED AND PLASMA SCREEN TV, BUT I'M SLEEPING WITH A 65-YEAR -OLD WOMAN.
IT SEEMS TO ME THAT YOU'RE NOT HOLDING UP YOUR SIDE OF THINGS."

MY WIFE IS A VERY REASONABLE WOMAN. SHE TOLD ME TO GO OUT AND FIND A HOT 25-YEAR-OLD GAL, AND SHE WOULD MAKE SURE THAT I WOULD ONCE AGAIN BE LIVING IN A CHEAP APARTMENT, DRIVING A CHEAP CAR, SLEEPING ON A SOFA BED AND WATCHING A 10-INCH BLACK AND WHITE TV.

While shopping at a local Walmart, I spotted a man with an
acronym on his shirt that had B.A.D. Me, being the person that I am
(curious), I stopped the man and asked, "What does B.A.D. stand for?"
And trust me, you'll be amazed at what his response was.
He replied, B.A.D. stands for: "Blessed And Delivered".
That thought stuck with me as I finished doing my shopping that
day. So I came up with a little advice for you today.
