ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You put WHAT in my otc Medicine?

I was in a pharmacy today to pick up some diabetic test strips, while in line I perused the laxative isle. I checked out the fiber choices. The first one looked good so I checked out the list of ingredients. Get this: a serving is one rounded tablespoon and in this serving are 8 grams of Sugar, SUGAR????? How could they get that many grams of sugar in one Tablespoon? Apparently the whole container is just very expensive sugar. Now the fiber they put in it is tasteless so why the sugar? Many people know that they need more fiber in their diets but to get 25-30 grams one would be eating broccoli and spinach nearly constantly 18 hours a day. So we go to the drugstore to buy a diet aid, because fiber helps you lose weight and get healthier, right? yeah, so they pile on the sugars to thwart us. Not only that but some of the offerings have Aspartame in them, Now this excito-toxin is really hard on the colon even causing ulcers in it, so forget any colon benefits with this product.

But it's ok folks if you get a little constipated from the Aspartame and you develop a hemorrhoid, they also have 'TUCKS' on sale there to relieve it, and lots of really rugged colon dynamite to flush out the bowel so that you aren't all stopped up, oh and by the way, it makes the bowel just a little weaker each time you take a laxative. Sigh, now for the rest of the story, Yellow dye number [who cares] was also part of the fiber, now what's the big deal about the color of something you are going to chug anyway? Then there's artificial flavor, who knows what is in that. And who wants a 'Tang' substitute anyway? So we are pretty much stuck if you try to get better well there is everything trying so hard to keep you sick. Is this a conspiracy by the AMA, to make more $$ off of us?

Ok, here's another~Yogurt. Did you know they put High Fructose Corn Syrup in that stuff. People buy it to get healthy and to help them lose weight, and there is a substance in it that MAKES ONE CRAVE CARBS ESPECIALLY SWEET ONES~Can you believe this? Not to mention that they pasteurize it to death so that all the lovely healing beneficial bacteria is killed deader than a rock. So All we get is a big fat Nuttin'! And a bad for you nuttin' to boot.

Filling ourselves up with these non-foods causes a nutritional imbalance . We aren't getting what we need and we are getting something that's bad for us. Think of it this way, A car runs on gasoline, if our tanks were empty we don't put just anything in the tank, like say oh...water, because it won't run on water and water will destroy the engine. Feeding our faces with junk and garbage foods is exactly the same.

We are literally starving ourselves to death and we are seeing the results in our hospitals everyday.

There are many more insane foods but you can probably tell me stories about the ones you've found.

The best healer and the one that has made the biggest change in my health is CellPower™ cellpower~natural cures, natural alternative medicine, body rescue alkalizing, most alkalizing, alkalizing drops, body ph health<br />natural healing, cell health, oxygenate, cellpower, detoxify; with it's cellular oxygenating power, the pH adjustment and bacterial/viral/fungal control has really CHANGED MY LIFE!

The Law of Revolutionary Ideas

Every revolutionary idea, in Science, Politics, Art or Whatever, evokes three stages of reaction. They may be summed up by the three phrases:

1. “It is completely impossible; don’t waste my time.”

2. “It is possible, but it's not worth doing.”

3. “I said it was a good idea all along.”

"Yes," he said. "I do. My father taught me."

"Seven."

"Very good," said the teacher. "Your dad did a good job. What comes after ten?"

"A jack," was the response.

THE KEYS TO GOOD DIGESTIVE HEALTH

I guess they are all pretty simple things really, but it took a newsletter I get from a Dr. Julian Whittaker each day to make it clear to me that it is just that easy. Essentially there are three keys...

<1> Key number 1~Healthy bacteria in the form of probiotics
Ongoing research has revealed a number of possible applications for probiotics. Acidophilus works to break down food in the small intestine, and leads to the production of lactic acid, hydrogen peroxide, as well as other products that help suppress detrimental organisms. Acidophilus also helps produce lactase, an enzyme that breaks down milk sugar (lactase) into simple sugars. This may aid individuals with lactose intolerance. This helpful bacterium is also important in production of vitamin K. There is strong research to show that L. Acidophilus may be helpful in dealing with bacterial vaginosis. Other uses include the possible reduction or prevention of some diarrheas and alleviating symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and, possibly, inflammatory bowel diseases (such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis). Bifidobacterium provides similar functionality in the colon.
Everyone needs these helpful bacteria. Acidophilus helps synthesize important vitamins, nutrients and enzymes

Some of us have been overwhelmed by another colon flora-Candida Albacans which causes a disease called candidiasis. We have this problem due to poor eating habits and antibiotics killing off the balancing probiotics.

When I say poor eating habits, it's not just fast food and microwaved TV dinners, It's all the pasteurizing and [allowed] chemicals in our foods, it's growing our foods in poor soils from bad fertilizing and improper husbanding practices, it's over-ripe foods brought to you from half-way round the world, and canned and other processed foods that just don't have the proper nutrients, It's over-cooked foods devoid of enzymes, and cooking methods [like the microwave] that further exacerbate the problems. The result is Candidiasis.
(1)
Moderate amounts of candida (and other yeast) live in every one of us without causing any harm, but when given free rein to grow unchecked, e.g. by wiping out the surrounding bacteria with broad-spectrum antibiotics, candida can change into its fungal form and spore through the intestinal wall into the rest of the body. Once through, it rampages around the body producing a multitude of symptoms.
<>Group 1: The damage to the intestinal wall allows undesirable toxins to permeate into the bloodstream. This condition called ‘leaky gut syndrome’ often leads to:
food allergies and intolerances.. migraines.. foggy brain.. muscle aches..
<>Group 2: Once through to the rest of the body, candida has the ability to disrupt the endocrine system causing symptoms such as: thrush cystitis PMS menstrual irregularities joint pains asthma hayfever sinusitis fungal infections of the nails/skin e.g. athlete’s foot weight gain or weight loss ear infections
chronic tiredness allergies sensitivity to perfume, tobacco smoke and petrol
<>Group 3: Symptoms in the intestines include: bloatedness flatulence diarrhoea and/or constipation itchy anus

Of course Diabetes contributes to candidiasis also and all these symptoms usually accompany all of the other problems diabetes has.

Personally I use Candidate
, in conjunction with probiotics.

<2> Key number 2~enzymes.
The body uses three main kinds of enzymes in the digestive process. Amylase enzymes break down starches or carbohydrates and are found naturally in the mouth saliva and the pancreatic and intestinal fluids. Protease enzymes are used to break down proteins and are found in the pancreatic and intestinal fluids. Lipase aids in fat digestion. Ultra Veggie Enzymes also includes several other important enzymes to aid in digestion. Cellulase is included for fiber breakdown, lactase to aid in digesting dairy products, and invertase, which works on breaking down sucrose.

Two other helpful enzymes included in this formula are bromelain and papain. Bromelain comes from pineapple and papain from papaya. Bromelain assists in protein digestion. Papain is particularly helpful in breaking down meat fibers and is included in some commercially available powdered meat tenderizers. Both are often used to relieve indigestion.

We way overcook our foods and even a little cooking will kill off the enzymes in our diets, We get virtually none. What with pasteurized everything and all veggies cooked we get none, We need 1/3 of our daily foods to be raw. Nuff said.
Please see what enzymes do for you

<3> Key Number 3fiberSoluble fibers, apple pectins and flax meal, psyllium helps the colon to be cleaned and healthy.
(2)
The main job of the colon is to complete the digestion process. This occurs by removing excess water from food wastes entering from the small intestine. When wastes pass through the intestines too quickly, not enough water is absorbed. Watery stools and diarrhea are the result. In contrast, if the passage of waste is too slow, too much water is absorbed. This results in hard stools and constipation, which often leads to straining. These simple problems occasionally lead to more serious disorders.

The Importance of Dietary Fiber
Fiber (also called roughage or bulk) promotes the wavelike contractions that keep food moving through the intestine. Also, high-fiber foods expand the inside walls of the colon. This eases the passage of waste. Fibrous substances pass through the intestine undigested. They also absorb many times their weight in water, resulting in softer, bulkier stools.
Studies show that rural Africans, who eat diets high in fiber, eliminate food waste in one-third the time it takes people from urban westernized cultures. Their stools are larger and softer. Because of the greater bulk and speed of foods through the digestive tract, it is believed that harmful substances are also swept out before they can cause problems. In fact, these rural people have fewer of the digestive tract diseases that plague Western man. It is thought that this may be related to the nature of their diet.

You've heard that death begins in the colon? Well the poisons in the fecal matter do their work to kill us off; the quicker it leaves us the better the outcome for all of us.

The Three keys will really aid one to maintain a healthy bowel.

The best healer and the one that has made the biggest change in my health isCellPower™ cellpower~natural cures, natural alternative medicine, body rescue alkalizing, most alkalizing, alkalizing drops, body ph health<br />natural healing, cell health, oxygenate, cellpower, detoxify; with it's cellular oxygenating power, the pH adjustment and bacterial/viral/fungal control has really CHANGED MY LIFE!

When she expressed difficulty in grasping the concept of marriage, her father decided to pull out his wedding photo album, thinking visual images would help. One page after another, he pointed out the bride arriving at the church, the entrance, the wedding ceremony, the recessional, the reception, etc.

Tell Your Congressmen and Women to Co Sponsor the Health Freedom Protection Act, H.R. 2117- Ron Paul

The FDA is on a rampage against dietary supplements. Preventing reasonable and factual health claims, the FDA is using its immense power to fuel the pharmaceutical profit picture at the expense of the lives and health of hundreds of thousands of Americans each year. The rights of Americans to learn about natural products through truthful, science-based health claims is routinely stifled to the detriment of health and health freedom in the United States.

memory loss due to high blood sugar
We all have times when our blood sugar jumps up. A meal with lots of refined carbs and a dessert can do it to the healthiest eaters. But chronically high blood sugar is extremely dangerous. Not only can it lead to diabetes; it can also cause you to lose your memory.
A recent four-year study of older women found that when their blood sugar was chronically high - even if they weren't diabetic - they had an increased risk for impaired memory. This could be due to either direct or indirect brain damage caused by high blood sugar. Or it could mean that there's an association between the enzyme that breaks down insulin and the development of Alzheimer's disease. There are a number of possibilities, all of which researchers are studying rigorously.

The announcement comes a day after a doctor at a leading lung research hospital warned in a letter to federal regulators that consumers, not just factory workers, may be in danger from fumes from buttery flavouring in microwave popcorn.

Dangers of chlorine
If you are not convinced about the dangers of chlorine in your tap water, here's an extract from: Dr Z Rona MD MSc "Most people never give it a thought. After all, our elected public officials keep assuring us that chlorinated city tap water is completely safe for human consumption. Numerous scientific studies report that chlorinated tap water is a skin irritant and can be associated with rashes like eczema. Chlorinated water can destroy polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E in the body while generating toxins capable of free radical damage (oxidation). This might explain why supplementation of the diet with essential fatty acids like flax seed oil, evening primrose oil, borage oil and antioxidants like vitamin E, selenium and others helps so many cases of eczema and dry skin.

Going wrong ,

The children are slow getting dressed, You can't seem to find the car keys,
You hit every traffic light, Don't get mad or frustrated;
It may be just that God is at work watching over you.

This is the true story of George Phillips of Meridian, Mississippi, who was going to bed when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the shed. George opened the door to go turn off the light but saw there were people in the shed in the process of stealing things.

He immediately phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?" and George said no and explained the situation. Then they explained that all patrols were busy, and that he should simply lock his door and an officer would be there when available.

George said, "Okay," hung up, counted to 30, and phoned the police again.

"Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people in my shed. Well, you don't have to worry about them now because I've just shot them all."

Then he hung up. Within five minutes three squad cars, an Armed Response unit, and an ambulance showed up. Of course, the police caught the burglars red-handed.

One of the policemen said to George: "I thought you said that you'd shot them!"

George said, "I thought you said there was nobody available!"

"OK" the nun says. "Pull off to the side of the road, "maybe we will see what we can do."

The nun plants a whopper of a kiss on the cabbie! But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying.

"My dear child," said the nun, why are you crying?"
"Forgive me, but I've sinned. I lied. I must confess, I'm married and I'm Jewish."

A daring vacationer in Vienna is walking through a graveyard on Halloween when all of a sudden she hears music. No one is around, so she starts looking to see where it’s coming from.

She finally locates the source and finds it is coming from a grave with a headstone that reads, “Ludwig van Beethoven.”

Then she realizes that the music is the Ninth Symphony and it is being played backward. Puzzled, she leaves the graveyard and persuades a friend to return with her.

By the time they arrive back at the grave, the music has changed. This time it is the Seventh Symphony, but it is also being played backward.

Curious, the ladies agree to consult a music scholar. When they return with the expert, the Fifth Symphony is playing and the expert concludes that the symphonies are in fact being played in reverse order.

By the next day the word spread and a huge group gathered around the grave to hear the Second Symphony being played backward. Just then the graveyard's caretaker approaches the group. Someone in the crowd asks him if he has an explanation for the music.

"Oh, it's nothing to to worry about" says the caretaker. "He's just decomposing!!"

reversing Diabetes

(1)
If you are pre-diabetic, that means you have reduced insulin sensitivity but haven't yet been diagnosed with full-blown adult onset type 2 diabetes. In most cases, you can directly reverse this condition and return to a healthy metabolic state by making new choices in your foods and physical exercise. Remember, diabetes is a disease that is quite easy to reverse if you catch it early enough. And if you're pre-diabetic, you have an opportunity to reverse the situation right now.
Reversing it means making some tough choices in your life. It means, first of all, getting out and engaging in physical exercise on a regular basis. That's 45 minutes a day of walking, or something more strenuous if you can handle it. If you can't walk 45 minutes a day, walk 30 minutes a day. If you can't walk 30 minutes a day, walk 5 minutes a day. If you can't walk 5 minutes a day, just get up out of your chair 3 times -- do something to increase your exercise stamina, and work towards walking 45 minutes a day. Everybody can do something. Sitting around doing nothing is no excuse, and it will directly lead you to full-blown diabetes. (Diabetics are really good at making excuses. I know, I used to be pre-diabetic. I would find every reason in the world to avoid physical exercise.)
The second thing people can do is give up all foods that promote diabetes. This means foods that contain ingredients like refined white sugar, sucrose, corn syrup, high-fructose corn syrup, dextrose, white flour, enriched flours, and so on. So that means getting rid of all ice cream, cakes, cookies, sweets, desserts, candy bars, etc. These foods are causing your diabetes. Now, you won't hear this from the American Diabetes Association, because that organization is, to put it bluntly, actually thriving on the skyrocketing trend of diabetes in the United States. I've never found the ADA to actually give beneficial nutritional advice that would help people reverse diabetes. Remember, they are funded in large part by pharmaceutical companies who would actually lose customers if people reversed their diabetic conditions. It's not a conspiracy: it's just plain old corporate greed."

I've found that eating large quantities of Cinnamon each morning in my oatmeal is very helpful.

Or I could take cinnamon caps

Cinnamon has been a big open secret for diabetes, it really puts the breaks on the blood glucose levels. I load up my morning oatmeal with it. I struggle with getting enough fibre so I eat oatmeal in the AM.

coconut oil

is great for cooking and for continued weight loss. I really notice the difference in my weight control when I'm out of it for a while.

I've found eating whole raw foods really helps too. The enzymes we need are totally absent in our typically cooked foods. A good goal is to eat about 1/3 raw foods each day.

Also eating Alkalizing foods brings our bodies from an acidic [sick] condition to a healthy one.

Another thing we rarely ever talk about is our air supply, we know about pollution but did you know also that there is getting to be less and less oxygen in our air? We NEED lots of it for cell health [cells being the smallest parts of our body's health requirement.]

Things like Candidiasis are rampant among diabetics, fungal infections must be brought under control.

These are a few of the reasons why CellPower™ is so good for me; it has enzymes, fungus-killers, it is alkalizing, and the oxygen it pumps into each and every cell gives me boosts of strength and health. I'm just happy, for the first time in my nearly 60 years. I feel good and I am healing up from diabetes, candidiasis and Fibromyalgia, I think even the stroke damage is getting to be less pervasive. And due to CellPower™ I never get any infectious diseases, colds, flu [and I used to be sick for months at a time, folks]

My allergies are getting to be less prominant, I can be outside for hours and I can still see the next day!!!!! In fact I can get up in the morning and NOT feel like I've been chopping onions all night long! My eyes don't sting, I used to be blind for a while each morning due to stinging and THAT IS GONE.

I had completely lost my sense of smell but it's coming back and my sense of taste too.

Words can't convey how exciting it is to start getting well, And How Many problems I had that are just non-esistant now.

I'm just talking about myself here, Hey it's MY blog I can do that. I can hope all of you will get well too though. In fact even though I do sell CellPower™ and make a few bucks off the sale of each bottle of a month's supply of it; at $25.00 I only make just a few bucks, remember there are costs of buying the inventory, and I pay shipping pretty much all over the world, Mostly I want others to be getting well like I have.

In truth Even though I eat no processed foods, nor anything with MSG,few grains, nothing microwaved, no High Fructose Corn Syrup, no sugar [well a little in the form of dark chocolate candy, infrequently] only a bit of raw honey, very little carbs, NO Genetically modified foods, I'm not all that strict with myself, I do mostly eat chicken and vegetables. I'm no exercise fanatic, because I just don't have the time. I have 5 yahoo groups I take care of, two blogs, and a message group, I also write devotionals and working on couple of books, all sedentary activities. I still maintain my yard, however and build furniture when I think of something I want to build. I keep our tiny home clean when I feel like I want to, but I don't climb on some expensive piece of bulky machinery to force my muscles to do something they aren't used to doing, but I do want to buy a bicycle to go on the occasional foray into the countryside.

A Cop pulled a car over for speeding.

When the Cop asked the driver why he was traveling 95mph, the driver answered that he was a juggler on his way to do a show for a birthday party and didn't want to be late.

The Cop told the driver he was fascinated by juggling, and if the driver would do a little juggling for him that he wouldn't give him a ticket.

The driver told the Cop that he had sent all of his equipment on ahead and didn't have anything to juggle.

The Cop told him that he had some flares in the trunk of his patrol car, and asked if he could juggle them.

The juggler stated that he could, so the Cop got three flares, lit them and handed them to the juggler.

While the man was doing his juggling act, a car pulled in behind the patrol car.

The driver got out, watched the performance briefly, went over to the patrol car, opened the rear door and got in.

The Cop observed him doing this, and went over to the patrol car, opened the door and asked the driver what he thought he was doing.

The driver replied, "You might as well haul me to jail, cause there's NO way I’ll pass that test."

Skin care and Adiponectin revisited

I've been getting a newsletter from a Doctor Nan Fuchs. She is selling face creams but her latest email gives some insights on why the creams on the market don't quite work as well as they say they do.

First there is gasoline in most of them. Just look at the list of ingredients, do you see petroleum or fragrance on it? There you go gasoline....and it's harsh and drying to skin. Can you say wrinkles?

Next look for Surfactants, it is....wait for it....SOAP! It strips the outter, protective layer of the skin. Remember we talked before on how soap isn't good for skin and how the skin is our first layer of defense against infectious diseases. see: how does the immune system work.

I remember laughing at my grandmother because she said she didn't use any soaps on her face and then later I realized that soap will cause skin to dry and split. Also everything on the skin has a tendancy to soak in and become part of us. I certainly do not want any antibiotics creating any superbugs around OR IN me!

Dr. Nan Fuchs wrote
(1)
Because soaps are so effective at removing the protective barrier of the skin, cosmetics manufacturers like to sneak them in whenever they can. They may disguise them by using the chemical name, but all the names will include some form of "sulphate." Two of the most commonly used soaps are sodium lauryl sulphate and ammonium lauryl sulphate, found in many detergents and shampoos. However, any ingredient that ends in "sulphate" should raise your suspicions!
More ingredients your skin care should never include:
~Ethanolamines (Monoethanolamine aka MEA, Diethanolamine aka DEA, Triethanolamine aka TEA): common pH stabilizers; when exposed to oxygen/air form nitrosoamines, which may be irritating and/or toxic.
~Mineral oil: petroleum derived hydrocarbons; used as inexpensive base in some products. Blocks pores and interferes with normal skin function.
~Synthetic Colors: These serve no useful purpose, and may be dangerous for long-term use. Usually labeled as FD&C or D&C, followed by a color and a number, e.g. FD&C Red No. 6 or D&C Green No.6.
~Parabens (e.g. Methyl, Ethyl, Propyl and Butyl Paraben): Used as preservatives; inhibit microbial growth and extend shelf life of products. Methyl paraben eventually degrades, releasing methanol, a potentially toxic chemical. Most people don't have an obvious skin reaction to parabens.
For decades, women have been duped into applying detergent to our precious skin, and letting it sit there for hours! Worse, we've been duped into believing we were doing the right thing.
So while trying to protect and nourish your skin, you were unwittingly stripping precious moisture and destroying our perfectly healthy skin cells! And the bad news doesn't stop there, because... You're "Cleaning" Your Face with Chemicals!

Also... I've been reading up on Adiponectin [See: key to obesity discovered a bit more too and have found this fat controlling hormone is found less in those who are already overweight and those who are diabetic. Adiponectin as you may remember; is a protein hormone that modulates a number of metabolic processes, including glucose regulation and fatty acid catabolism. Adiponectin is exclusively secreted from adipose tissue into the bloodstream and is very abundant in plasma relative to many hormones. The less a person weighs the more adiponectin they have in their systems it seems. The hormone plays a role in the suppression of the metabolic derangements that may result in type 2 diabetes, obesity, atherosclerosis and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Adiponectin exerts some of its weight reduction effects via the brain. This is similar to the action of leptin, but the two hormones perform complementary actions, and can have additive effects.

Leptin given to obese mice aided in weight loss. Leptin concentrations are low in people and animals with low body fat, and leptin appears to be a significant regulator of reproductive function.

Conclusion: Adiponectin and leptin are necessary for weight and glucosec management ands apparently Leptin is necessary for reproductive function. It may be one reason why younger women might be more capable of reproduction and find weight loss easier. Because as we all know Hormones are not manufactured in older bodies as readily as in younger bodies. Also if one is healthier to begin with, i.e. younger, having had less exposure to chemical contaminents; both fertility and weight loss are easier to achieve. It's not fair? Well of course not, but health has no age barrier, I'm definately a witness to that. Of course since I've been taking CellPower™ cellpower~natural cures, natural alternative medicine, body rescue alkalizing, most alkalizing, alkalizing drops, body ph health<br />natural healing, cell health, oxygenate, cellpower, detoxify, I have been getting healthier by leaps and bounds. Also I'm taking FLAX SEED OIL for my colon, but of course FLAX SEED OIL is also a great source of omega-3 essential fatty acids. AND
conjugated linoleic acid~CLA
CLA improves body composition by reducing body fat while preserving muscle tissue, an omega-6 fatty acid to promote better health.

If you feel you have received your teenaged daughter in error:

To determine whether you were supposed to receive a teenaged girl, please examine your new daughter carefully. Does she:

a) Look very similar to your original daughter, only with more makeup and less clothing?

b) Refuse to acknowledge your existence on the planet Earth (except when requesting money)?

c) Sleep in a burrow of dirty laundry?

If any of these are true, you have received the correct item. Nice try, though.

Activation

To activate your teenaged daughter, simply place her in the vicinity of a telephone or Instant Messenger. No further programming is required.

Feeding

Your teenaged daughter requires regular meals, which must be purchased for her at restaurants, because she detests everything you eat because it is like so disgusting. She does not want you to accompany her to these restaurants, because some people might see you and like I'm sure I want my friends to see me eating dinner with my parents. Either order take-out food or just give her the money, preferably both. If you order pizza, never answer the doorbell because the delivery boy might see you and Ohmigod he is so hot. Yes, your daughter's idea of an attractive man is the pizza boy.

Have a day marked by vigorous health and financial abundance.

HURRY-UP DISEASE, McLIFE UNDER PRESSURE

hurry, Hurry, I can't wait
and now, OH NO! I'm running late,
can't even stop to think things through,
AND SCARED TO SLOW, OH WHAT TO DO?
It results in road rage, violent reactions to small annoyances, wild errors of judgement, and other rudenesses. It's also very unhealthy.
One day as I was working at a snail's pace job, I decided to get lunch and do my banking at the same time. I rushed over to the bank and was not first in line for the ATM, I finally got the envelope, filled it out adding my [at least signed] check and at the last second [hurried, and self-harried] I tucked in a hundred dollar bill I was given to help me out, and ...forgot to add it to my totals or the deposit slip!
Oh I had the deposit receipt, FOR THE WRONG AMOUNT. I gobbled some fried fast-food lunch and rushed back to a job where no one minded if I'd been late a bit or not. Later that night I realized what I'd done. The next day I called and found out my check [only] had been credited to my account. I later called and got the whole situation fixed, but with all that hurrying, stress had broken out on me like pimples before prom night, my stomach hurt and I was so sick.

I was terribly afflicted with hurry-up, but that day I had to start s-l-o-w-i-n-g d-o-w-n. I had to or I'd make another expensive mistake. And the next time I might not be able to fix it.

I learned to stop when stuff got to be too much and take huge breaths holding them and letting it out slowly, to stop and think, to rest and just be...

Oh I forget from time to time, because I thrive on multi-tasking, I hate being still, being quiet, doing only one thing at a time, but I have to be slow. and it's an effort.

There is another story of a lady, Dorothy, who had a terrible infection inside her hands, they itched, as she said, "Way down in her bone marrow." she scratched until her hands were raw, she couldn't wash dishes or bathe without gloves on her hands, She took medication after medication, and the relief was transitory. Then she finally learned her infection was fungal in nature that fed on the tissues beneath the skin. Armed with this knowledge she knew suddenly what she needed to do. she quit feeding the fungus. She fasted for three days at a time to cut off the food supply. She knew even though she wasn't getting much relief from the itching that she was on the right path.

(1)
The lesson, of course, is clear. We, too, must persevere in the ways of health. At any time, Dorothy might have chosen the ways of drugging to relieve the immediate pain. Like so many others, she too could have soothed away the pain and the discomfort with products of the chemist's art, those "instant relief" pills and potions. It would have been so easy, so quick; but Dorothy had learned that drugs only appear to give health, that they present only a false facade.
When we are very young, our bodies are filled to overflowing with vital energy, the return to health may occur with amazing speed; but when we are older, the return may be elusive and taunt us with its tantalizing slowness, as was true in Dorothy's case. But, regardless of our age and our condition, we must remain steadfast in our goal to attain superior health. We must persevere in the ways of health. We must not be victims of the "hurry-up" disease!

I can' wait at the stop sign, I tap my foot at the slowness of my computer even with DSL, I whisper hurry hurry hurry at the snail pace of the rest of the world. It's called Time urgency impatience, and it seems the whole world has it.

(2)
"Time urgency impatience is what physicians call this chronic sense of pressure, and it’s become an epidemic among multitasking Americans. We log more hours at work than citizens of any other industrialized nation, and 40 percent of us drink three or more caffeinated beverages a day just to keep up the pace. That helps explain why more than half our adult population experience significant stress regularly and get less than the eight hours of sleep needed for good health and optimum performance.
“We have a deeply neurotic and dysfunctional relationship with time,” says Carl Honore, author of In Praise of Slowness: How a Worldwide Movement Is Challenging the Cult of Speed. “Benjamin Franklin said ‘time is money,’ and we don’t want it wasted or stolen. We put quantity ahead of quality and internalize an inner psychology of speed that values saving time and maximizing efficiency.”
It’s our health that pays the price. Time urgency impatience has been associated with a nearly twofold increase in hypertension, and it’s one of the traits that make Type A’s twice as likely as mellower Type B’s to develop heart disease. According to a report in the Journal of the American Medical Association, about 42 percent of young adults suffer from potentially risky levels of TUI, with high levels more common among women and Caucasians. “My guess is that TUI is on the rise,” says study author Lijing L. Yan, Ph.D., M.P.H."

Here are some slow-down strategies that will put time back on your side:

(3)
"TRYING TO DECELERATE in a hit-the-gas world isn’t easy...
1. Set priorities. Make a conscious decision about what you consider important, and let your schedule (and your attitude) reflect your intentions. For example, if relationships and health are high on your list, turn off the TV to free up time for taking walks with friends.
2. Do one thing at a time. When you multi task, it becomes impossible to concentrate, feel deeply, or think clearly. “Doing two or more things at the same time splits our consciousness in two or more ways,” observes meditation teacher Eknath Easwaran.
3. Wake up right. “Set your alarm clock early, but don’t get up when it rings,” suggests Paul Pearsall, Ph.D., author of The Last Self-Help Book You’ll Ever Need: Repress Your Anger, Think Negatively, Be a Good Blamer, & Throttle Your Inner Child. “Lie there a few minutes and practice the savoring response: Think about who and what is worth getting up for and the privilege of being awake in such a rushed yet wonderful world.”
4. Take off your watch. “People hurry up when they see a clock, which is why stores don’t have clocks–they want us to linger,” says Honore, who experiences less anxiety since he unstrapped his own watch. Because there are clocks everywhere–in cars and on cellphones and computers–he’s still punctual, but no longer feels like a slave to time. Test this yourself by going “watch-free” on evenings and weekends.
5. Listen to relaxing music. “Your body synchronizes to the rhythms around you,” says psychologist Sharon Heller, Ph.D., author of Too Loud, Too Bright, Too Fast, Too Tight. Look for music that’s paced to a relaxed heartbeat, about 60 beats per minute.
6. Resist road rage, “See every traffic jam as a meditation assignment,” Pearsall advises. There are few better opportunities to practice positive thinking and forgiveness or perform your deep-breathing exercises.
7. Find your center. Techniques such as meditation and yoga allow you to access patience. “Practices that bring you into stillness and quiet turn off the stress response,” says Peg Bairn, N.P., director of training at the Mind-Body Medical Institute, and an associate in medicine at Harvard Medical School. “They help you recharge your batteries and come back into alignment with who you really are.”

Along with TUI comes self-judgement that can only result in depression or worse. Give yourself a break, let yourself fail, and be gentle with it, Why? Failure isn't the end of the world, it's the beginning. Now you know at least one thing that doesn't work, you can begin to strategize into finding the right thing to do. I used to rush to fix my mistakes, they were something to quickly bury and forget, but now I must see that they are a good thing, a cherished step towards perfection. so what if other's find out, they don't know your process, they only look for results and push their own insecurities off on you to cover their mistakes. We are not responsible for someone Else's mental health we can only serve by example.

I have no intention of being a drooling, silent wheelchair sitter I see at the nursing home.

A woman named Shirley was from Beverly Hills. One day, she had a heart attack and was taken to Cedars Sinai hospital. While on the operating table, she had a near-death experience. She saw God and asked, "Is this it?" God said, "No, you have another 30 to 40 years to live." Upon her recovery, she decided to stay in the hospital and have collagen shots, cheek implants, a face lift, liposuction and breast augmentation. She even had someone dye her hair. She figured since she had another 30 to 40 years, she might as well make the most of it. She walked out of Cedars Sinai lobby after the last operation and was killed by an ambulance speeding up to the hospital. She arrived in front of God and said, "I thought you said I had another 30 to 40 years?" God replied, "Shirley! I didn't recognize you!"

"How did you loose your leg?" The pirate responded,

"I lost me leg in a battle off the coast of Jamaica!" His new acquaintance was still curious so he asked,

"What about you hand. Did you loose it at the same time?"

"No," answered the pirate. "I lost it to the sharks off the Florida Keys." Finally, the land-lubber asked,

"I notice you also have an eye patch. How did you loose your eye? The pirate answered,

"I was sleeping on a beach when a seagull flew over and pooped right in me eye." The land-lubber asked,

"How could a little seagull poop make you loose your eye?" The pirate snapped,

"It was the day after I got me hook!"

TAKING CONTROL OF MY HEALTH~winging it

I go to see 'my' doctor about every 4-6 months. Since we have no medical insurance and in all my years of working for others I haven't had medical insurance, I've been forced to take care of myself. I found, very early on that I'm extremely sensitive to drugs and refuse all offers of them. I go to a free clinic here and usually get the nurse practitioner as my 'doctor'. I decide how much insulin I give myself. I had no teaching except the bare basics because we have no insurance. The only thing I was taught was the shot locations I was to rotate to, and why.

Since I learned about rotation, however I found out that giving shots in the belly made more of the insulin I did take available to my body. Arm and leg shots somehow are less efficient. I read that somewhere, I forget to put all the little nuggets I find in my blog, I'm trying to rectify that.
~~~
I prefer my natural solutons to druggish things. My girlfriend stays on the ADA diet, exercises like a guinea pig on a wheel she takes the Avandia type diabetic drugs and her blood glucose levels are all over the place every day; way up and way down. I'll stick with CellPower™ cellpower~natural cures,natural alternative medicine,body rescue alkalizing,most alkalizing,alkalizing drops,body ph health<br />natural healing,cell health,oxygenate,cellpower,detoxify.
~~~
Anyway I make decisions on how much insulin I give myself, by myself, I base them on a day-by-day reaction to how well something worked the days before, I used to [in my opinion, overdose myself using guidelines I yes, devised myself] but recently way slowed down on how much I give myself. I generally hold it to 15 units regardless of how high my blood glucose goes. I like to keep a regular schedule but you know how that goes, I get away from home and must eat before I get home and check my blood levels. When that happens and I finally take my readings of course it will be higher. But since I know I do well, even best with 10 units twice per day I try to keep it at that amount. When the reading is below 100 I give myself 5 units, anywhere above 125 it's 15. But since I want my body to adjust to less and less insulin, and stop being insulin resistant I am trying to give myself less and less.

Now here's where the doctor stuff comes in. They never ask me how much insulin I give myself. Now when I took care of elderly people with insulin therapy, the docs used to pour over the ledger of blood sugar readings and adjust the amounts I should give at certain levels, 'course They had insurance. For instance if the average was 200-260 they might recommend 30 units, at 180-200 maybe 25, and so on, I'm making this up so don't go by me. The language the doctor used was always iffy sounding like, "Well, let's see, why not try this and this, and this." No science behind it no hard and fast rules. Just by guess and by golly, or so it seemed to me. I took my original cue from that. Now I go by my gut. I gauge how I'm doing and how my diet is affecting the levels. I'm not suggesting anyone else follows my ways of doing things, if you have a doctor, let him/her decide for you. I am however, forced to be extremely sensitive to my own needs and to do these gauges for myself, and also I must forge into virgin territories here because officially there is no literature on this reversing process, just, yes, it can be done, but the day to day stuff is purely by winging it.

As I said I'm without much guidance in this area and I'm on my own, but I'm making good progress even though, it seems to have slowed to a crawl. I have other issues that are being resolved along with the diabetes, my candidiasis is going away, It was a multi-systemic problem that is slow to release it's hold on me.

All of my body has been healing up and yes, Diabetes itself affects the entire body's functioning; the candidiasis and IBS are related to each other and exacerbated by each other and the diabetes. With All this interrelated stuf, add to the mix the stroke damage and it seems to have affected so much. I'm just digging myself out of my personal health morass.

Weight is going too, but that also has slowed probably because it's just not the personal push it was. I am comfortable here and it really is hard to actually lose weight [pounds per week rather than pound per month]if one is past menopause. It means days/weeks of going hungry, and I gotta tell you the truth here, it is easier to fast than eat such bland small starvation portions. I also have a balancing act with my beleaguered colon, it works best if full and on starvation diets it doesn't get full enough to empy regularly. Also getting enough fiber is still an issue and on the starvation diet [well it's not really starvation, it just feels like it] I simply can't get enough fiber, no way!

I used candidate for candidiasis
when I first started out on this reversing diabetes diet. I wanted to get a jump start on the complication factors. I also take probiotics in the form of acidophilus and FLAX SEED OIL for my colon, but of course FLAX SEED OIL is also a great source of omega-3 essential fatty acids.

The biggest changes for the better hit me after I started taking CellPower™ cellpower~natural cures, natural alternative medicine, body rescue alkalizing, most alkalizing, alkalizing drops, body ph health<br />natural healing, cell health, oxygenate, cellpower, detoxify with it's cellular oxygenating power, the pH adjustment and bacterial/viral/fungal control has really CHANGED MY LIFE!

State Of The World Message

I've had the opportunity to evaluate the condition of the world over the course of the last 48 hours and I'm pleased to report that there are many reasons to be hopeful.

In this short amount of time I've seen a very diverse group of two-year olds build sandcastles together and I stood witness as a nineteen-year-old Japanese woman learned to ride a bicycle for the first time. I watched as the sun rose twice, set twice and became partially eclipsed by the moon. I stared into the eyes of a sea lion and saw myself in his reflection. I shared a table with a seventy-seven year old woman inTijuana who offered me cookies and Seven-Up. I witnessed a car accident on Interstate 5 and a middle-aged trucker sprinting towards the wreckage to see if he could help.

I know that there is much adversity and suffering in today's world... and sometimes I think this is the path we must take to greater wisdom. But there's a lot of love out there too... and I'm convinced that this is still the most powerful force in the world.

THE GOOD NAPKINS...ahhhhh...the joys of having Girls...

My mother taught me to read when I was four years old (her first mistake). One day, I was in the bathroom and noticed one of the
cabinet doors was ajar.

I read the box in the cabinet. I then asked my mother why she was
keeping 'napkins' in the bathroom. Didn't they belong in the kitchen?

Not wanting to burden me with unnecessary facts, she told me that
those were for "special occasions" (her second mistake).

Now fast forward a few months....It's Thanksgiving Day, and my folks are leaving to pick up my uncle and his wife for dinner. Mom had assignments for all of us while they were gone.

Mine was to set the table.

When they returned, my uncle came in first and immediately burst into laughter. Next came his wife who gasped, then began giggling. Next came my father, who roared with laughter.

Then came Mom, who almost died of embarrassment when she saw each place setting on the table with a "special occasion" Kotex napkin at each plate, with the fork carefully arranged on top. I had even tucked the little tail in so they didn't hang off the edge!!

My mother asked me why I used these and, of course, my response sent the other adults into further fits of laughter.

"But, Mom, you said they were for special occasions!!!"

Pass this on to your girlfriends who need a good laugh or anyone who has a daughter!

Life is too short for drama & petty things, so kiss slowly, laugh insanely, Love truly and forgive quickly .

Peripheral Neuropathy

Neuropathy is a disorder of the peripheral nerves—the motor, sensory and autonomic nerves that connect the spinal cord to muscles, skin and internal organs. It usually affects the hands and feet, causing weakness, numbness, tingling and pain.

(1)
Peripheral Neuropathy is one of the most common diseases most people have never heard of…in fact, upwards of 20 million Americans have it.

Peripheral neuropathy is caused by damage to your body’s peripheral nerves.
This damage disrupts the body’s ability to communicate with its muscles, skin, joints, or internal organs. It is like the body’s wiring system breaking down. If ignored, neuropathy can lead to numbness, pain, weakness and incoordination. However, if it is diagnosed and treated early, peripheral neuropathy can often be controlled, slowing the disease’s progression.

It usually include autoimmune disorders, tumors, heredity, nutritional imbalances, infections or toxins. about 30% of the time it's caused by diabetes.

Some types can be cured but most cannot, there are therapies that can help. Be sure to get to your neurologist right away so you can take drugs.... Ok so what if you won't take drugs, why does it happen, how can we cope and even help the problem.

The four major forms of nerve damage are polyneuropathy, autonomic neuropathy, mononeuropathy, and mononeuritis multiplex. The most common form is peripheral polyneuropathy, which mainly affects the feet and legs.

Often the form of neuropathy is further broken down as to cause (see below), or other type, such as small fiber peripheral neuropathy, which is idiopathic [a double=speak Doctorism meaning "who knows where it came from".]

Peripheral nerves, either singly or in groups, are damaged through lack of circulation, chemical imbalance, trauma, or other factors.

If you have the problem from Diabetes, get rid of the Diabetes, I'm trying, I'm trying. I have had weird sharp pains in my toes, it feels like the toenail is separating violently from the toe, but it's been going on for much longer than I've had Diabetes, unless I've had it for years unknown.

I've read the problem only gets worse without some form of therapy, I believe mine was caused by shoes that don't fit, but then shoes never actially fit my feet. I used to tell my daughter I had to buy my shoes from the "Funny-Shaped Foot Shoppe", say That three times fast. My feet are high-wide and very short, they are nearly square. If I find a shoe wide enough the arch is in the wrong place, I have a very high arch and my toes are extremely short. I also walk with my ankles bent outwards when I'm tired, so my shoes have a tendancy to be walked over on the outsides and my little toe has no sole under it, then a stone or stick will really hurt when I walk on it. I had no idea until recently that other people didn't have this problem, or that there might be something I could do about it, I've just had to buy whatever shoe didn't hurt too bad.

Other (2)
common causes of Peripheral Neuropathy are:herpes zoster infection, HIV-AIDS, toxins, alcoholism, chronic trauma (such as repetitive motion disorders) or acute trauma (including surgery), various neurotoxins and autoimmune conditions such as celiac disease, which can account for approximately 16% of small fiber neuropathy cases.[1] Neuropathic pain is common in cancer as a direct result of the cancer on peripheral nerves (e.g., compression by a tumor), as a side effect of many chemotherapy drugs, and as a result of electrical injury. In many cases the neuropathy is "idiopathic," meaning no cause is found. A form of spinal nerve entrapment called Posterior Rami Syndrome can lead to neuropathic pain.

Oh great more good news.

(3)
More than 100 types of peripheral neuropathy have been identified, each with its own characteristic set of symptoms, pattern of development, and prognosis. Impaired function and symptoms depend on the type of nerves -- motor, sensory, or autonomic -- that are damaged. Some people may experience temporary numbness, tingling, and pricking sensations, sensitivity to touch, or muscle weakness. Others may suffer more extreme symptoms, including burning pain (especially at night), muscle wasting, paralysis, or organ or gland dysfunction. Peripheral neuropathy may be either inherited or acquired. Causes of acquired peripheral neuropathy include physical injury (trauma) to a nerve, tumors, toxins, autoimmune responses, nutritional deficiencies, alcoholism, and vascular and metabolic disorders. Acquired peripheral neuropathies are caused by systemic disease, trauma from external agents, or infections or autoimmune disorders affecting nerve tissue. Inherited forms of peripheral neuropathy are caused by inborn mistakes in the genetic code or by new genetic mutations.

And here we see some hope, while there is no existing treatment for inherited Peripheral Neuropathy, often weight loss, exercise, and a good diet will alleviate much of the problem.

(3)
In acute neuropathies, such as Guillain-Barré syndrome, symptoms appear suddenly, progress rapidly, and resolve slowly as damaged nerves heal. In chronic forms, symptoms begin subtly and progress slowly. Some people may have periods of relief followed by relapse. Others may reach a plateau stage where symptoms stay the same for many months or years. Some chronic neuropathies worsen over time, but very few forms prove fatal unless complicated by other diseases. Occasionally the neuropathy is a symptom of another disorder.

Taking very good care of feet and hands will really help to keep the tissues of those extremities healthy, even if the nerves are going nuts the flesh can remain whole.

For me shoes are part of the problem, so I try hard to keep my floors nice and clean and spend my indoor time barefootin'. Lately I've noticed that my hands and feet actually get cold, prior to just the last fewyears I never had a problem with that. I also try to find the best shoes I can get for outdoor time.

I also believe the oxygenating effects of CellPower™ cellpower~natural cures, natural alternative medicine, body rescue alkalizing, most alkalizing, alkalizing drops, body ph health<br />natural healing, cell health, oxygenate, cellpower, detoxify to really be keeping my nerves healthier than they would be if I weren't taking it. CURTAIN RODS----PRICELESS

She spent the first day packing her belongings into boxes, crates and suitcases.

On the second day, she had the movers come and collect her things.

On the third day, she sat down for the last time at their beautiful dining room table by candle-light, put on some soft background music, and feasted on a pound of shrimp, a jar of caviar, and a bottle of spring-water.

When she had finished, she went into each and every room and deposited a few half-eaten shrimp shells dipped in caviar into the hollow of the curtain rods.

She then cleaned up the kitchen and left. When the husband returned with his new girlfriend, all was bliss for the first few days.

Then slowly, the house began to smell.

They tried everything; cleaning, mopping and airing the place out.

Vents were checked for dead rodents and carpets were steam cleaned.

Air fresheners were hung everywhere. Exterminators were brought in to set off gas canisters, during which they had to move out for a few days and in the end they even paid to replace the expensive wool carpeting.

Nothing worked!!!

People stopped coming over to visit.
Repairmen refused to work in the house.
The maid quit.

Finally, they could not take the stench any longer and decided to move.

A month later, even though they had cut their price in half, they could not find a buyer for their stinky house.

Word got out and eventually even the local realtors refused to return their calls.

Finally, they had to borrow a huge sum of money from the bank to purchase a new place.

The ex-wife called the man and asked how things were going.

He told her the saga of the rotting house. She listened politely and said that she missed her old home terribly and would be willing to reduce her divorce settlement in exchange for getting the house back.

Knowing his ex-wife had no idea how bad the smell was, he agreed on a price e that was about 1/10th of what the house had been worth, but only if she were to sign the papers that very day.

She agreed and within the hour his lawyers delivered the paperwork.

A week later the man and his girlfriend stood smiling as they watched the moving company pack everything to take to their new home.........

And to spite the ex-wife, they even took the curtain rods!!!!!!

Subject: Prospective Employee Assessment

To: All Managers

The following guidelines shall be used when hiring new personnel.

Take the prospective employees you are trying to place and put them in a room with only a table and two chairs. Leave them alone for two hours, without any instruction. At the end of that time, go back and see what they are doing.

If they have taken the table apart in that time, put them in Engineering.
If they are counting the butts in the ashtray, assign them to Finance.
If they are screaming and waving their arms, send them off to Manufacturing.
If they are talking to the chairs, Personnel is a good spot for them.
If they are sleeping, they are Management material.
If they are writing up the experience, send them to Technical Publications.
If they don't even look up when you enter the room, assign them to Security.
If they try to tell you it's not as bad as it looks, send them to Marketing.
And if they have left early, put them in Sales.

Waiter: "Tea or coffee, ladies?"

First customer: "I'll have tea."

Second customer: "Me, too. And be sure the cup is clean!"

(Waiter exits, returns) Waiter: "Two teas. Who asked for the clean cup?"

VISITING THE DOCTOR, NERVE PAIN

Hey! I had my check up yesterday I got to keep my blood test results, I'm so getting better. While I'm not perfect yet my levels are getting there, my lungs are clear and the high blood pressure? Gone, it's normal now. YAY! My A1C is lower, my glucose is lower, my cholesterol is lower, I'm happy and getting well. When the doc asked me how I was [why do they do that? I don't go there because I'm healthy for gooness sake]I was able to smile broadly and sure her I felt great! I'm known among the people I see regularly as a Sunny, happy person.... This from someone who use to be sick all the time, depressed so bad I could hardly stop crying, for decades. I have to credit CellPower™ cellpower~natural cures, natural alternative medicine, body rescue alkalizing, most alkalizing, alkalizing drops, body ph health<br />natural healing, cell health, oxygenate, cellpower, detoxify more than anything else. sure dieting and exercising gave me a good start but my vigorous healthy, more energetic, happier self started with the CellPower™.

I also continue to take Essential fatty acids,FLAX SEED OIL

~ZINC especially to help you heal.
and Conjugated Linoleic Acid* to counteract the effects of alloxan I might get by accident, I don't eat bread much less white flour but you never know.
see:alloxan causes diabetes

I am experiencing nerve pain even with my diabetes under strict control. Of course the medicos want you to take medications for it,

(1)
"Anti-seizure drugs often are used to help control the type of pain caused by damaged nerves.
Anti-seizure (anticonvulsant) medications were developed primarily to reduce or control epileptic seizures. But they can also help control the burning, stabbing or shooting pain sometimes caused by nerve damage. These drugs seem to work by slowing or blocking pain signals from damaged nerves.
Why does it hurt?
Nerves can be damaged by many things, including injury, surgery, disease or exposure to toxins. For example, some people with diabetes develop numbness and pain (peripheral neuropathy) in their hands and feet. People who have shingles often continue to have pain (postherpetic neuralgia) after the shingles have cleared up.
This pain occurs because the damaged nerves are firing inappropriately and sending pain signals even though no tissue has been harmed. This type of pain can be debilitating and is often difficult to control."

Personally,I've had these pains for much longer than I've had diabetes.

(2)
"~Controlling your blood sugar levels can help prevent worsening nerve pain and improve your overall health at the same time.
~Medications can help relieve nerve pain, make you more comfortable, and improve your quality of life.
"We know that better glucose control is the single most important factor" in preventing neuropathy, slowing its progress once you have it, and relieving many symptoms, says Christopher Gibbons, MD, director of the Neuropathy Clinic at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston and instructor of neurology at Harvard Medical School.
If you have diabetes and peripheral neuropathy, talk to your doctor about ways to better control your blood sugar. You may need to take insulin for better control, says Gibbons.
Once you are doing all that you can to keep blood sugar levels under control - including diet, meal planning, exercise, and medication - you should assess with your doctor which pain medication is best to relieve your remaining symptoms."

Since I refuse to take drugs what to do, what to do? The diabetic socks I have are too long, [I have very short toes, so if the socks fit they are too long]and they curl under my toes and HURT!
