CALCIUM; DO WE NEED MORE? HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH

Every where we go we are told we need to take calcium, more calcium and what kinds to take.

Actually if we take Calcium we need to take Magnesium along with it. In fact it should be in proportions of 10-4; Calcium to Magnesium.

Here are some sources of both:

(1)
Calcium Sources & Magnesium Sources:

Dairy products, tofu, almonds, Brazil nuts, salmon,Almonds, soybeans, wheat germ,
sardines, broccoli, collard greens, kale, cauliflower, seeds, wheat bran, millet, seafood, legumes,seaweed/kelp, hard water, molasses, dark green vegetables, fruit, hard water.

Of course this came from a site written by people who are unenlightened as to the dangers of soy and other genetically modified and highly processed foods. Soy may be great to help someone with the symptoms of menopause, but has been implicated in breast cancers and osteoporosis which is why you are taking calcium, isn't it? To help, not hurt your bones?

I'm not just saying this; it is true, soy contains phytoestrogens, and has high levels of phytic acid:

Soy Dangers Summarised

High levels of phytic acid in soy reduce assimilation of calcium, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc. Phytic acid in soy is not neutralized by ordinary preparation methods such as soaking, sprouting and long, slow cooking. High phytate diets have caused growth problems in children.
Trypsin inhibitors in soy interfere with protein digestion and may cause pancreatic orders. In test animals soy containing trypsin inhibitors caused stunted growth.
Soy phytoestrogens disrupt endocrine function and have the potential to cause infertility and to promote breast cancer in adult women.
Soy phytoestrogens are potent antithyroid agents that cause hypothyroidism and may cause thyroid cancer. In infants, consumption of soy formula has been linked to autoimmune thyroid disease.

Ingestion of soy has been linked to early puberty in girls, in fact, 15% of white girls and 50% of African American girls show signs of puberty before age 8. and there are large numbers of boys with delayed maturity and learning disabilities, linked to soy formulas. Soy is a powerful endocrine disruptor.

Ok, back to Calcium....

(1)
Low Levels / Deficiency - Symptoms and/or Risk Factors:

Calcium:
Insomnia, anxiety, nervousness, depression, fatigue, muscle / joint pains, muscle spasms / cramps, high stomach acid, osteoporosis, seizures, birth defects,
miscarriage, high blood pressure, irregular heart beat, cardiovascular disease, hemorrhagic stroke, aneurysms, PMS, dysmenorrhea (painful periods), rickets, higher risk for some cancers,
Magnesium:
Irregular heart beat, cardiovascular disease, insomnia, anxiety, nervousness, seizures, fatigue, muscle/joint pains, osteoporosis, high stomach acid, high blood pressure, PMS,sweating, dysmenorrhea, constipation, angina, depression, asthma, muscle spasms/cramps,migraine/headaches, depression,

On the reverse side:

(1)
High levels / Overdose / Toxicity / Negative Side Effects - Symptoms and/or Risk Factors:
Calcium:Arteriosclerosis, cardiovascular disease, ischemic heart disease and stroke, high blood pressure, low stomach acid, muscle / joint pains, depression,
fatigue, glaucoma, higher risk for several cancers, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, calcification, dry skin, constipation,
Magnesium:
Cardiovascular disease, muscle / joint pains, dry skin, low stomach acid, low blood pressure, depression, fatigue, higher risk for several cancers, diarrhea, osteoporosis, joint/spinal degeneration, dehydration, muscle spasms/cramps

I'm sure you'll notice that many of the overdose symptoms are the same as the low level reactions of both calcium and magnesium, as well as the symptoms for each in both categories.

So how much is the right amount?

This varies from person to person. A postmenopausal woman needs to supplement if she isn't getting three or more servings a day of high calcium foods [see above].a calcium carbonate is best taken with meals or a calcium citrate if taken between meals. About 1000 mg of Calcium and 400 mg of Magnesium is a good combination.

I know I need Calcium, but I don't like taking it because it causes me to be constipated. It also gives me heartburn.

I eat a decent diet and avoid as many pollutants; and processed, gm, or non-foods as possible and therefore have fewer free radicals running around in MY body than most people I meet. I'm losing weight and I feel so much better I know the CellPower™ cellpower~natural cures, natural alternative medicine, body rescue alkalizing, most alkalizing, alkalizing drops, body ph health<br />natural healing, cell health, oxygenate, cellpower, detoxify; has really CHANGED MY LIFE!

The only other things I take are::coconut oil

is great for cooking and for continued weight loss. I really notice the difference in my weight control when I'm out of it for a while.
AND:
FLAX SEED OIL for my colon, but of course FLAX SEED OIL is also a great source of omega-3 essential fatty acids. And one each of the four essential minerals each day:
~SELENIUMhelps immune system, fights infection and aids circulation
~MAGNESIUMhelps to relax you, aids stress and muscle relaxing
~CHROMIUMimproves insulin sensitivity, and helps lower blood sugar.
~ZINC

I wish all of you the robust, vigorous health I'm getting closer to each day.

The Images of Mother

4 YEARS OF AGE My Mommy can do anything!
8 YEARS OF AGE My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!
12 YEARS OF AGE My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.
14 YEARS OF AGE Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either!
16 YEARS OF AGE Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.
18 YEARS OF AGE That old woman? She's way out of date!
25 YEARS OF AGE Well, she might know a little bit about it.
35 YEARS OF AGE Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.
45 YEARS OF AGE Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?
65 YEARS OF AGE Wish I could talk it over with Mom. . ..

Color IS GOOD!

Yesterday I went to the doctor for my yearly physical. My blood pressure was high, my cholesterol was high, I'd gained some weight, and I didn't feel so hot. My doctor said eating right doesn't have to be complicated and it would solve my physical problems. He said just think in colors. Fill your plate with bright colors - greens, yellows, reds, etc. I went right home and ate an entire bowl of M&M's
And sure enough, I felt better immediately. I never knew eating right could be so easy

A Minnesota, Norwegian joke for you.

Ole lived across River from Clarence who he didn't like at all.
All the time they were yelling across the river at each other.
Ole would yell to Clarence, "If I had a vay to cross dis river, I'd come over dere an beat you up good, yeah sure ya betcha by golly!"

This went on for years. Finally the state built a bridge across the river right there by their houses. Ole's wife, Lena, says, "Now is your chance, Ole, vhy don't you go over dere and beat up dat Clarence like you said you volud?" Ole says, "OK, by yimmy I tink I vill do yust dat!"

Ole started for the bridge but he sees a sign on the bridge an he stops to read it, then he turns around and comes back home.

Lena asked,"vhy did you come back?" Ole said, "Lena, I tink I change my mind 'bout beatin' up dat Clarence, you know, dey put a sign on da bridge dat says "Clarence is 13 ft. 6 in." You know, he don't look near dat big vhen I yell at him from across da river"!!

Have a great day, and be blessed with health, wealth and happiness!
