LIGHTING UP WITH ELECTROLYTES

We need a balance of salt and potassium to maintain a healthy electrolyte balance, but not in equal amounts, we actually need 10 times the potassium as salts, so that salty drink you have while walking on the treadmill is only replacing salt you no doubt get plenty of at breakfast, lunch or dinner. Are you eating your fruits? Are you getting enough potassium?

(1)electrolytes are salts that conduct electricity and are found in the body fluid, tissue, and blood. Examples are chloride, calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium. Sodium (Na+) is concentrated in the extracellular fluid (ECF) and potassium (K+) is concentrated in the intracellular fluid (ICF). Proper balance is essential for muscle coordination, heart function, fluid absorption and excretion, nerve function, and concentration.

(2)Electrolytes are minerals in your blood and other body fluids that carry an electric charge. It is important for the balance of electrolytes in your body to be maintained, because they affect the amount of water in your body, blood pH, muscle action, and other important processes. You lose electrolytes when you sweat, and these must be replenished by drinking lots of fluids.
Electrolytes exist in the blood as acids, bases, and salts (such as sodium, calcium, potassium, chlorine, magnesium, and bicarbonate) and can be measured by laboratory studies of the blood serum.

(3)*Sodium plays a major role in regulating the amount of water in the body. Also, the passage of sodium in and out of cells is necessary for many body functions, like transmitting electrical signals in the brain and in the muscles. The sodium levels are measured to detect whether there's the right balance of sodium and liquid in the blood to carry out those functions.
If a child becomes dehydrated because of vomiting, diarrhea, or inadequate fluid intake, the sodium levels can be abnormally high or low, which can cause a child to feel confused, weak, and lethargic, and even to have seizures.
*Potassium is essential to regulate how the heart beats. When potassium levels are too high or too low, it can increase the risk of an abnormal heartbeat. Low potassium levels are also associated with muscle weakness.
*Chloride, like sodium, helps maintain a balance of fluids in the body. If there's a large loss of chloride, the blood may become more acidic and prevent certain chemical reactions from occurring in the body that are necessary it to keep working properly.
*Bicarbonate prevents the body's tissues from getting too much or too little acid. The kidney and lungs balance the levels of bicarbonate in the body. So if bicarbonate levels are too high or low, it might indicate that there's a problem with those organs

(4)What can high-potassium foods do for you?
*Help your muscles and nerves function properly
*Maintain the proper electrolyte and acid-base balance in your body
**Help lower your risk of high blood pressure
What events can indicate a need for more high-potassium foods?
*Muscle weakness,*Confusion,*Irritability, *Fatigue, *Heart problems,*Chronic diarrhea, *Regular, intense exercise, *Use of certain diuretics

Food sources of potassium:Swiss chard,boiled lima beans, button mushrooms, cooked yam, winter squash, baked soybeans, cooked avacado, spinach, boiled pinto beans, cooked papaya, cooked lentils. I can't imagine cooked avacadoes or papaya... but I know bananas have a lot of it too.

(5) ANOTHER SOURCE SAYS THIS:
Several major food groups are high in potassium including white meats, root vegetables, and fresh fruit, along with dairy. If prepared in a healthy way, they will also contribute to a healthy and balanced diet. If you are consuming a food for its potassium, try to eat it raw, if possible. Otherwise, bake it or include it in a soup: frying or boiling reduces the amount of available potassium, along with many other nutrients.

In this souce I see I'm getting plenty with my diet of chicken and apples/carrots every day.

I also take CellPower™ , and also I'm using:
FLAX SEED OIL for my colon, but of course FLAX SEED OIL is also a great source of omega-3 essential fatty acids.
And one each of the four essential minerals each day:
~SELENIUMhelps immune system,fights infection and aids circulation
~MAGNESIUMhelps to relax you, aids stress and muscle relaxing
~CHROMIUMimproves insulin sensitivity, and helps lower blood sugar.
~ZINC every day.

There were only two people in line ahead of me at the electronics store, yet the wait was dragging on forever. Finally the customer behind me muttered, "Mr. Hare must be on vacation." Only then did I notice the name tag on the man at the register. It read: "Mr. Turtle, sales associate."

~~~
My new credit card arrived in the mail with a large sticker on it, giving the phone number to activate the card. I called the number and got one option: "press one" to activate the credit card. That led me to a live person, who answered with her first name and the title "credit card activator." As I got ready to give her the necessary information, she interrupted me, asking, "How can I help you?"
~~~
To entertain a business partner from England last winter, my father took him to a restaurant in Butte, Montana. They ordered red wine, which arrived icy cold, seemingly straight from the refrigerator. "Oh, miss," my father's guest said to the waitress. "Red wine should be served at room temperature."

"Is that right?" she replied. "Then maybe you should come visit us again in July."
~~~
I am full-figured, and when I dine in restaurants, I often find the chairs too small and uncomfortable. The last time I ate out I filled in a comment card, saying that while the food and service were wonderful, the chairs did not accommodate anyone over a size 14. Several weeks later I received a note of apology -- and a coupon for a free dessert.
Some people just aren't happy unless they have something to complain about. I stayed in a beautiful hotel right on the beach in California -- an idyllic spot, you would think. But while I was waiting to check out, I heard the manager ask another guest, "Did you enjoy your stay?"
"Not really," the man said grimly.
"I'm sorry to hear that," the manager apologized.
"What was the problem?"
"The surf was too loud."
~~~
I called my local utility for help with a minor malfunction in my outdoor gas grill. Their automated phone system put me on hold for over 20 minutes. As I waited, I was grateful my problem wasn't worse -- especially when I heard a pre-recorded message repeatedly advise, "If you smell gas, stay on the line."
~~~
For years I've been getting a terrific rotisserie chicken from a nearby restaurant. One night as I placed an order to go, I told the girl behind the counter, "I'll pick it up later. Do you want my name?"
"Oh, no," she said. "I've seen you come in here a lot." Then she scribbled something on a piece of paper. Feeling flattered, I did my errands. When I grabbed my order, I glanced at her note on the bag: "Old man in the pink shirt."
~~
Here is a true story,I used to live in a downtown apartment house that featured a fire escape, My window was right next to it. The door to the fire escape was always locked so you could get out but not in. One night a man was pounding on the door from the oustside and I called the police to take care of the nuisance. They showed up and found him with their flashlights two floors farther up still trying to get inside. They ordered him to identify himself, I didn't hear his response but I did hear one of the cops scream,"Are you are burglar?," then, "are you sure?" I was so tickled by that I just howled with laughter, I just kept saying, "Are you a burglar, Are you sure?"
Blood pressure solutions?
I had very bad [high] blood pressure so I really cut down on salt, ok well; it didn't help, losing weight didn't help, but, it just so happened that I found sea salt and it tasted better; made food taste better, so I started to use it more. My blood pressure went down, Down to Normal.
My adoptive mother had high blood pressure and at times she had blood streaming from her eyes and nose when it topped off to it's highest levels, the sight and treatment made me want to really desire to lower my own Blood pressure. Plus I've already had a stroke, who needs another? To go back to the treatments the docs used to stop my mother's bleeding; they had to stuff chunks of cotton up her nose. EWE!
I decided that the drugs they tried to force on me were not acceptable and I have been losing weight and also I practice some relaxation techniques that seem to help, I basically just stop doing anything and do some very deep breathing. I act like one of those dolls made with rubber bands you pull on the cord and they completely tighten up [inhale soaking up as much air as I can] and on the exhale completely allow head, neck, arms, shoulders, waist to slowly slump and rest there for a few seconds.
Now I eat foods nicely seasoned with sea salt and I enjoy foods again, And my blood pressure is normal, coincidence?
(1)
Blood pressure is partially a function of the heart strength, but high blood pressure is most generally the result of narrow, inelastic arteries. Narrow arteries come from bad fats in the diet as the arteries accumulate plaque, which is composed of entirely of oxidized fats and oxidized cholesterol--which come from the bad fats in your diet. (For more on that subject, see The Cholesterol Scam.)
Inelastic arteries come from a lack of vitamin C, MSM, and phytochemicals (plus other substances, undoubtedly) that are killed during processing and storage of foods. (Basic Supplements discusses the importance of these nutrients and the reason they're absent from most of foods you eat.)
Narrow, inelastic arteries produce high blood pressure. It's as simple as that. Basically, the heart is pumping fluid through a smaller
pipe that can't expand. That situation shows up as high blood pressure in the doctor's office.
The solution is pretty simple, too: Eat more real food.
Real food isn't processed, so it's nutrients are intact. And the fats in real foods are the natural, wholesome, digestible fats that are arguably the most important nutrients in your diet, because they are responsible for every metabolic process in your body. They're responsible for the operation of the brain and the nervous system, for the transport of oxygen, for the metabolism of insulin, the operation of hormones, and the movement of nutrients to and through your cell walls. (For more information, see Oils and Essential Fatty Acids.)
Unfortunately, the doctor's recommendation to "avoid salt" can lead to avoiding some of the healthiest foods on the planet: fermented foods, like Kimchi, that are prepared by salting the food and allowing it to ferment. (See The Importance of Fermentation and What Makes Kimchi so Healthy?)
When real foods are preserved/fermented, the result is high quantities of vitamin C, MSM, and phytochemicals that are missing in the industrial diet. When coupled with good fats like olive oil, sesame oil, coconut oil, raw butter, (plus eggs and fish, under the right conditions) then high high blood pressure never really becomes an issue.
Of course, any salt that is used should be sea salt. Table salt is bleached to make it white, and "purified" to remove everything but sodium chloride, which eliminates vital minerals like potassium. So using sea salt does make a difference.
The trick is to use unrefined sea salt. There's that old processed foods bugaboo.
Salt is an essence of Life.
Natural Salt is an essential element in the diet of not only humans but of animals, and even of many plants.
Use of natural salt is as old as human history. Natural Salt is one of the most effective and most widely used of all food seasonings and natural preservatives.
Natural salt is a source of 21 essential and 30 accessory minerals that are essential to our health.
According to some sources, other elements are up to 5% of dry ocean salt.
Refined salt contain only 0.1 - 0.5% other elements.
Of course the best thing I've done for myself has been to take CellPower™ cellpower~natural cures,natural alternative medicine,body rescue alkalizing,most alkalizing,alkalizing drops,body ph health<br />natural healing,cell health,oxygenate,cellpower,detoxify; has really CHANGED MY LIFE!
and also I'm using:
FLAX SEED OIL for my colon, but of course FLAX SEED OIL is also a great source of omega-3 essential fatty acids.
I eat whole foods lots of raw, fresh foods, and try to stay pretty active.
FOOTPRINTS...A New Version...
Imagine you and the Lord Jesus are walking down the road together. For much of the way, the Lord's footprints go along steadily, consistently, rarely varying the pace.
But your footprints are a disorganized stream of zigzags, starts, stops, turnarounds, circles, departures, and returns.
For much of the way, it seems to go that way, but gradually your footprints come more in line with the Lord's, soon paralleling His consistently.
You and Jesus are walking as true friends!
This seems perfect, but then an interesting thing happens: Your footprints that once etched the sand next to Jesus' are now walking precisely in His steps.
Inside His larger footprints are your smaller ones, you and Jesus are becoming one.
This goes on for many miles, but gradually you notice another change. The footprints inside the large footprints seem to grow larger.
Eventually they disappear altogether. There is only one set of footprints. They have become one.
This goes on for a long time, but suddenly the second set of footprints is back. This time it seems even worse! Zigzags all over the place. Stops. Starts. Gashes in the sand. A variable mess of prints.
You are amazed and shocked!
Your dream ends.
Now you pray:
"Lord, I understand the first scene, with zigzags and fits. I was a new Christian; I was just learning. But You walked on through the storm and helped me learn to walk with You."
"That is correct."
"And when the smaller footprints were inside of Yours, I was actually learning to walk in Your steps, following You very closely."
"Very good.. You have understood everything so far."
When the smaller footprints grew and filled in Yours, I suppose that I was becoming like You in every way." "Precisely"
"So, Lord, was there a regression or something? The footprints separated, and this time it was worse than at first."
There is a pause as the Lord answers, with a smile in His voice.
"You don't know? It was then that we danced!!
EATING RIGHT
As a Diabetic I have to eat right to get healthy. What does that mean? What are good foods and bad foods?
I know, for instance, that I can't eat any processed foods because they are so altered that the body doesn't recognize them as nourishment. And The processed food industry loads fat, sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, and salt into their products because they are cheap. Also food colorings of dubious safety and MSG is also routinely added, see also What's so exciting about MSG for all the names of MSG that are used in foods.
(1)
"The human body consists of billions of microscopic living cells, composed of perfectly, balanced quantities of water and organic substances. If you have eaten the standard North American Diet for years, without serious harm to your health, it is due to your body's outstanding resistance. Yet genetic weaknesses may be hidden by youth. The cumulative effect of toxins will increase the risk of becoming a host to disease or premature death. Unfortunately, resistance to disease diminishes as the abuse continues. Disease is like heating a pot of water. When the water becomes too hot, it quickly boils over. The biochemistry of the body will absorb toxins only to a point. There is a boiling point—illness!
We live like no other generation before us. A giant experiment of toxic ingestion. In this game, the stakes are high, it can cost your life. We may consider our way of eating as normal, but the modern diet is about as normal as a test tube of chemicals. The body’s chemistry is recreated by ingesting countless food additives and environmental contaminants.
The toxins in your body have been accumulating since birth and are embedded in every cell structure and organ. But do not despair, there is an answer. Toxins disrupt the natural chemistry of your body. Remove the harmful elements in your diet, replacing them with health-filled foods, and a wonderful new metamorphosis will occur. God has created the body to be irrepressibly healthy!
Chemicals which have the power to produce mutations through chromosome damage are called mutagens. They cause disruptions of the genetic code which are responsible for over 15,000 inheritable, genetic disorders. Sadly, they may have a drastic consequence to our grandchildren.
The food industry aims at making products look and taste appealing without thought to the products' nutritional value. Loaded with chemical additives and designed to be addictive, processed food is manufactured first for profit."
Instead of using, for instance, Lemon juice to enhance the flavors of foods scientists use a chemical called 2-methyl-3-(pisopropylphenyl)-propionaldehyde to replace it for cost effectiveness.
Feed for chickens includes arsenic [SHADES OF OLD LACE!] to improve egg laying and give the chickens a more yellow skin. Aluminum compounds are added to baking powder, aspirin, pickles, antacids, beer, table salt and antiperspirants, and Aluminum is implicated in Alzheimer's.
Then there are the genetically modified foods:
(2)
"The real dangers of GE foods
DNA is a natural part of our diet being present in foods which either
retain or are derived from whole cells (fruits, vegetables, meat etc.).
This being the case it would be expected that we would also digest the DNA
from GE foods without any health problems. It would therefore appear that
the mere presence of genetic material in GE food only poses a danger in
certain special cases as, for example, where antibiotic resistance genes
persist in a product. However, the main hazards that result from the use of
genetic engineering in food production stem from the fact that (i) genetic
engineering brings about combinations of genes that would never occur
naturally and (ii), in the case of plants and animals, genetic engineering
is an imprecise technology resulting in the random incorporation of the new
genes into the host DNA. These two effects always combine to produce a
totally unpredictable disturbance in host genetic function as well as in
that of the introduced gene. The resulting disturbance in the biochemistry
of the host can unexpectedly produce novel toxins, allergens and reduced
nutritional value. Therefore, it is quite possible for a processed food in
which the DNA has been destroyed or removed to still possess potentially
harmful substances."
To paraphrase, GM foods are harmful because they aren't food that our bodies recognize as food.
(3)
"[What is] "hybrid" and why it is that much of a problem?
Answer: Hybridized foods are genetically altered foods. They are foods which will not survive in nature without human protection. They are strains of foods which have been artificially bred together to appeal to the numb tastebuds of cooked-food eaters. For example, beets in the natural state are 4% sugar. Beets in the supermarket are 17% sugar. The same holds true for carrots. Most fruits and vegetables, even if organic, are genetically altered to some degree. The best guideline is to avoid seedless fruits of any kind. Also, in terms of vegetables: carrots, beets, and potatoes should be avoided. Nearly all legumes are weak hybrid strains and should be avoided."
I'd add all corn, soy, and rice are GM.
This why I totally control what I eat, I do all my cooking and use only whole foods. Recently I found that the simplest spices contain additives I won't ingest so, I make my own see:Another Advantage to Summer/Katy's essence
Please read the sources cited there is so much more information.
AND THE
~~~JOKES~~~
Reaching the end of a job interview, the Human Resources Person asked a young engineer who was fresh out of MIT, "What starting salary were you thinking about?" The Engineer said, "In the neighborhood of $125,000 a year, depending on the benefits package." The interviewer said, "Well, what would you say to a package of 5 weeks vacation, 14 paid holidays, full medical and dental, company matching retirement fund to 50% of salary, and a company car leased every 2 years - say, a red Corvette?" The Engineer sat up straight and said, "Wow! Are you kidding?" The interviewer replied, "Yeah, but you started it."

A couple of young boys were fishing at their special pond off the beaten track. All of a sudden, the Game Warden jumped out of the bushes. Immediately, one of the boys threw his rod down and started running through the woods like a bat out of hell. The Game Warden was hot on his heels. After about a half mile, the young man stopped and stooped over with his hands on his thighs to catch his breath, so the Game Warden finally caught up to him. "Let's see yer fishin' license, Boy!" the Warden gasped. With that, the boy pulled out his wallet and gave the Game Warden a valid fishing license. "Well, son," said the Game Warden, "you must be about as dumb as a box of rocks! You don't have to run from me if you have a valid license!" "Yes, sir," replied the young guy, "but my friend back there, well, he don't have one."

Joan, who was a rather well-proportioned secretary, spent almost all of her vacation sunbathing on the roof of her hotel. She wore a bathing suit the first day, but on the second, she decided that no one could see her way up there, and she slipped out of it for an overall tan. She'd hardly begun when she heard someone running up the stairs. She was lying on her stomach, so she just pulled a towel over her rear. "Excuse me, miss," said the flustered assistant manager of the hotel, out of breath from running up the stairs. "The Hilton doesn't mind your sunbathing on the roof, but we would very much appreciate your wearing a bathing suit as you did yesterday." "What difference does it make?" Joan asked rather calmly. "No one can see me up here, and besides, I'm covered with a towel." "Not exactly," said the embarrassed man. "You're lying on the dining room skylight."

Have a great day!
