A fake fat recently approved by the FDA, over the objections of dozens of leading physicians.
(1)
The additive may be fat-free but it has a fatal side-effect: it attaches to valuable nutrients and flushes them out of the body. Some of these nutrients -- called arytenoids -- appear to protect us from such diseases as lung cancer, prostate cancer, heart disease, and macular degeneration. The Harvard School of Public Health states "the long-term consumption of olestra snack foods might therefore result in several thousand unnecessary deaths each year from lung and, prostate cancers and heart disease, and hundreds of additional cases of blindness in the elderly due to macular degeneration. Besides contributing to disease, olestra causes diarrhea and other serious gastrointestinal problems, even at low doses."
FDA certified olestra despite the fact that there are safe low-fat snacks already on the market. There is no evidence to show that olestra will have any significant effect on reducing obesity in America.
Despite being approved as safe by the FDA, all snacks containing olestra must carry a warning label (similar to one found on cigarettes) that states:
This Product Contains Olestra. Olestra may cause abdominal cramping and loose stools. Olestra inhibits the absorption of some vitamins and other nutrients. Vitamins A, D, E, and K have been added.
(2)
Olestra also raced through subjects so quickly in some test cases, according to Procter and Gamble's data, that it resulted in "anal leakage," diarrhea and underwear stains. It also takes hostages: Olestra removes significant amounts of fat-soluble vitamins and arytenoids (nutrients that may reduce the chances of cancer and heart disease) from the digestive tract
(3)"Olestra has also has caused problems ranging from gas to bloody stools to cramps so severe that they had to go to the emergency room."
One of the vitamins that olestra eliminates in our digestive system is Vitamin A, or arytenoids
(4)
Arytenoids are natural fat-soluble pigments found in certain plants. Arytenoids provide the bright red, orange, or yellow coloration of many vegetables, serve as antioxidants, and can be a source for vitamin A activity. There are more than 600 known natural arytenoids, all of them synthesized only in plants. Arytenoids may be classified as hydrocarbon carotenes or
xanthophylls, which are oxygenated derivatives of carotenes. Representative examples of carotenes include β-carotene, alpha-carotene, and lycopene. Examples of xanthophylls include lutein, astaxanthin, canthaxanthin, zeaxanthin, and capsorubin. Lycopene, lutein, zeaxanthin, phytoene, phytofluene and beta-carotene belong to this family. Arytenoids are antioxidants. They play an important role in health maintenance by helping to reduce the impact and minimize the oxidative damage caused by surplus free radicals...
Arytenoids are very important for health. The health benefits of arytenoids in the human diet are becoming increasingly apparent. There've been studies suggest that some arytenoids can offer protection against some cancers, macular eye disease and
Cardiovascular problems. A higher dietary intake of arytenoids offers protection against developing certain cancers (e.g., lung, skin, uterine, cervix, gastrointestinal tract), macular degeneration, cataracts, and other health conditions linked to oxidative or free radical damage. In addition to being antioxidants, arytenoids also help to rejuvenate the body by promoting the growth of healthy cells and inhibiting the growth of unhealthy ones.
Vitamin A deficiency will result in poor reproductive health and bone health, a suppressed immune system, poor vision, decreased liver function, brittle nails, skin health [gives the skin a gooseflesh appearance] Vitamin A adds lubrication to mucus membranes. Two diseases caused by the deficiency of vitamin A are Night Blindness and Xerophthalmia (drying up of the eyes and cornea). So tell me, is olestra worth it?
Also good to avoid; are food colorings that exacerbate problems in children with
Tendancies toward ADD or ADHD, AND IT CAUSES CANCER!
Nitrite and Nitrate
Sodium nitrate, Potassium nitrate, and Potassium nitrite are traditionally as preservatives in Deli meats and other processed meats to to prevent botulism, and to improve color and flavor.
Potassium Nitrite is toxic in large doses and had caused many deaths.
(5)
It has the ability to change hemoglobin to methemoglobin and this is what makes nitrite so dangerous. Hemoglobin is the component of red blood cells that carries oxygen to all the cells of the body. Methemoglobin is unable to carry oxygen; therefore the conversion of hemoglobin to methemoglobin drastically impairs the bloods’ ability to carry oxygen. The resulting condition is called methemoglobinemia. People suffering from this condition have difficulty breathing; experience skin discoloration (bluish tinge) and can even lose consciousness which, in turn, can cause death if the levels of methemoglobin rise higher. According to FAO/WHO, babies seem especially venerable to methemoglobin.
In other words it actually alters our blood chemistry and produces a lethal condition.
It was added to baby foods at one time, but now is probably only found in some imported baby foods.
Recent studies have found a link between high processed meat consumption and colon cancer, possibly due to preservatives such as sodium nitrite. My stepfather died of colon cancer and he was always a sausage enthusiast.
Nitrate used in 'cured' meats is often found in our water supply also:

Risk to Human Health: Nitrate is a potential human health threat especially to infants, causing the condition known as methemoglobinemia, also called "blue baby syndrome". Read about the impact of Nitrate in water used to make baby formula, on the infant. When Nitrate is taken in by eating food and drinking water, Nitrate is converted in the gut to nitrite, which then combines with hemoglobin to form methemoglobin, thus decreasing the ability of the blood to carry oxygen. Infants are more susceptible to nitrate toxicity than older children or adults. Fatalities are rare, but sub-acute methemoglobinemia can be asymptotic while affecting development, making the condition particularly insidious. Chronic consumption of high levels of nitrate may also cause other health problems, for example some cancers and teratogenic effects
This is all the research I have time for today, I will be doing more studies on maintaining health in the face of a dangerous world.
I find that since I've been taking CellPower™ I've started and am well down the road to recovery. I was so very sick when I started taking it that it immediately gave me a huge boost of energy, cleared up some problems I've had with me for many years and is working quite well on getting the chronic troubles chased outta me.
It is a natural product, which unlike drugs that shock and awes your body into change, often causing side effects; cellpower will gently adjust your systems towards health, without causing sides at all. Sometimes there is a Herxheimer effect, Your body; while throwing off toxins and pollutants, will feel a bit sickish, usually only for a few days but sometimes for as long as two weeks, then a huge burst of health will follow.

An 8-year old girl went to her grandfather, who was working in the yard and asked him,
“Grandpa, what is sex?”
The grandfather was surprised that she would ask such a question, but decided that
if she’s old enough to know to ask the question, then she’s old enough to get a straight
answer. Steeling himself to leave nothing out, he proceeded to tell her all about human
reproduction. When he finished explaining, the little girl was looking at him with her
mouth hanging open, eyes wide in amazement.
Seeing the look on her face, the grandfather asked her, “Why did you ask this question
honey?”
The little girl replied, “Grandma says that dinner will be ready in a couple of secs.”
