************SALBA***********

Salba you have heard about this wonder food I know, Salba - Nature's Perfect Whole Food Omega 3s, Fiber, Antioxidants, & Much More...
Salba is the richest whole food source of Omega 3 fatty acids and fiber found in nature. Gram for gram, Salba provides eight times more Omega 3s than salmon, four times more fiber than flax, six times more calcium than whole milk, 13 times more antioxidants than blueberries, and much more. Salba is all-natural, has no trans-fats, very few carbohydrates, and is certified Non-GMO, Vegan, Kosher, and Gluten-Free for those who suffer from celiac disease.

It's good to get your innards moving all regular and to get you some real get-up-and-go And it has all those lovely Omega-3's that keep us all so healthy. It's better than other foods that have great essential fatty acids. Oh and the white is good, black is bad, but that's NOT the whole story....

Salba® is a trademark, and it's even better known as Chia. Now I checked the charts and black chia is only marginally less nutritious than the white and it's cheaper too, just like the chia is so much cheaper than Salba. I buy mine at Hildalgo. I do not get a kickback from them so buy it if you like OR don't- I don't care, but it's the best company to get chia from I've seen so far.

The best way to eat it is ground, I buy it whole so I grind it in my food processor, I use it in my
Special Healthy Candy

3 tbs cocoa powder
2 tbs coconut oil
3 tbs, raw honey
2 tbs chia seed whole or 1 tbs ground
handful of berries, raw nuts, sliced peaches or other fruit,
two caps of vanilla
1 cap of almond extract
mix it up good and eat, yummy!

I also put chia on my fried eggs, just to add the chia to my diet and also to the veggie pulp crackers I make in my dehydrator after I get lots of pulp from juicing every day.

I'm also growing some chia in my garden to manufacture more seeds.

I hope all of you find ways to put chia in your diet, let me know of ways to use it, I'd love to know, Oh, by the way, I used to have a terrible constipation problem, not any more!

I'm still using: SELENIUMhelps immune system,fights infection and aids circulation
~MAGNESIUMhelps to relax you, aids stress and muscle relaxing
~CHROMIUMimproves insulin sensitivity, and helps lower blood sugar.
~ZINC especially to help you heal.
I also eat, one of the best fats for the Omega-3~6 balance and losing weight.

Also for the best in filtered water.... pure-go filtering water bottles
And
CellPower™ because for one thing it does have lots of digestive enzymes in it, also it helps to balance the pH levels and is antibiotic, anti-viral-and anti-fungal AND IT PACKS THE CELLS WITH LIFE-GIVING OXYGEN, AND ENERGY.
And I'm also taking:
And I am substantially benefiting from each and every method I recommend. I've recently cut out some stressful things and people [ah you know who you are!] from my life and I definitely feel so much better.

~~~Jokes And inspirations/quotes~~~
Two old Jewish men, Sid and Al, are sitting in a Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles one day.
Sid asks Al, "Do you know of any people of our faith born and raised in Mexico?"
Al replies, "I don't know, let's ask our waiter."
When the waiter arrives, Al asks, "Are there any Mexican Jews?"
The waiter says, "I don't know senor, I ask the cooks" He returns from the kitchen after a few minutes and says, "No senor, the cook say no
Mexican Jews."
Al isn't satisfied and asks, "Are you absolutely sure?"
The waiter, realizing he is dealing with "Gringos" replies, "I check once again, Senor!" and goes back into the kitchen.
While the waiter is away, Sid says, "I find it hard to believe that there are no Jews in Mexico. Our people are scattered everywhere."
The waiter returns and says, "Senor, the head cook Tom say there is no Mexican Jews."
"Are you certain?" Al asks again. "I just can't believe there are no Mexican Jews!"
"SENOR, I ask EVERYONE," replies the exasperated waiter, " All we have is Orange Jews, Grape Jews, Prune Jews, and Tomato Jews
ROOM 302
A sweet grandmother telephoned St. Joseph's Hospital. She timidly asked,
'Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is
doing?'
The operator said, 'I'll be glad to help, dear. What's the name and room
number?'
The grandmother in her weak tremulous voice said, 'Norma Findlay, Room
302.'
The operator replied, 'Let me place you on hold while I check with her
nurse.'
After a few minutes the operator returned to the phone and said, 'Good
news. Her nurse has told me that Norma is doing very well. Her blood
pressure is fine. Her blood work just came back as normal and her
physician, Dr. Cohen, has scheduled her to be discharged Tuesday.'
The grandmother said, 'Thank you. That's wonderful! I was so worried!
God bless you for the good news.'
The operator replied, 'You're more than welcome. Is Norma your daughter?'
The Grandmother said, 'No, I'm Norma Findlay in 302. No one tells me
NOTHIN'.
Comfortable
Two sisters, one blonde and one brunette, inherit the family ranch. Unfortunately, after just a few years, they are in financial trouble.
In order to keep the bank from repossessing the ranch, they need to purchase a bull so that they can breed their own stock.
The brunette balances their checkbook, then takes their last $600 dollars out west to another ranch where a man has a prize bull for sale. Upon leaving, she tells her sister, "When I get there, if I decide to buy the bull, I'll contact you to drive out after me and haul it home."
The brunette arrives at the man's ranch, inspects the bull, and decides she does want to buy it. The man tells her that he can sell it for $599, no less.
After paying him, she drives to the nearest town to send her sister a telegram to tell her the news. She walks into the telegraph office, and says, "I want to send a telegram to my sister telling her that I've bought a bull for our ranch. I need her to hitch the trailer to our pick-up truck and drive out here so we can haul it home."
The telegraph operator explains that he'll be glad to help her, then adds, "It's just 99 cents a word." Well, with only $1 left after paying for the bull, the brunette realizes that she'll only be able to send her sister one word.
After thinking for a few minutes, she nods, and says, "I want you to send her the word, 'comfortable.'"
The telegraph operator shakes his head. "How is she ever going to know that you want her to hitch the trailer to your pick-up truck and drive out here to haul that bull back to your ranch if you send her the word, 'comfortable?'"
The brunette explains, "My sister's blonde. She'll read it slow."
BE GOOD TO YOUR VALENTINE
*********************YOUR VALENTINE****************
Today is Valentine's day; so what better time than today is there to look at heart health...
The heart is certainly an important image in life, Seen as the seat of our emotions of Love and well-being; it is a remarkable organ. After all, the heart muscle is responsible for pumping blood, oxygen and nutrients to all of your tissues, the heart works tirelessly day in and day out, never taking a break, constantly being relied on for your very survival.
A healthy life-style including exercise and great foods is essential to keeping our lovely heart going for many long Healthy years.
(1)
Regular exercise, especially aerobic exercise, has many benefits. It can:
Strengthen your heart and cardiovascular system.
Improve your circulation and help your body use oxygen better.
Improve your heart failure symptoms.
Increase energy levels so you can do more activities without becoming tired or short of breath.
Increase endurance.
Lower blood pressure.
Improve muscle tone and strength.
Improve balance and joint flexibility.
Strengthen bones.
Help reduce body fat and help you reach a healthy weight.
Help reduce stress, tension, anxiety and depression.
Boost self-image and self-esteem.
Improve sleep.
Make you feel more relaxed and rested.
Make you look fit and feel healthy.
(1)
Exercise can be divided into three basic types:
Stretching or the slow lengthening of the muscles. Stretching the arms and legs before and after exercising helps prepare the muscles for activity and helps prevent injury and muscle strain. Regular stretching also increases your range of motion and flexibility.
Cardiovascular or aerobic is steady physical activity using large muscle groups. This type of exercise strengthens the heart and lungs and improves the body's ability to use oxygen. Aerobic exercise has the most benefits for your heart. Over time, aerobic exercise can help decrease your heart rate and blood pressure and improve your breathing (since your heart won't have to work as hard during exercise).
Strengthening exercises are repeated muscle contractions (tightening) until the muscle becomes tired. For people with heart failure, many strengthening exercises are not recommended
(2)
Salmon
Tea
Catechins and flavonols (flavonoids).
Make sun tea: Combine a clear glass jar, several tea bags, and hours of sunshine.
I deleted all soy references because my research doesn't concur with the official findings, So much Soy is genetically modified and it all must be highly processed to be palatable that it's not a food our bodies recognize, Also it has some inherent problems like "High levels of phytic acid in soy reduce assimilation of calcium, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc. Phytic acid in soy is not neutralized by ordinary preparation methods such as soaking, sprouting and long, slow cooking. High phytate diets have caused growth problems in children." and "Soy phytoestrogens disrupt endocrine function and have the potential to cause infertility and to promote breast cancer in adult women." For just two of the many dangers....
Also I'd like to point out concerning the above list I'd add dark green leafy vegetables like Kale and Bok choy, and I want to remind you that all of these are best raw. If you do rely on Walnuts and Almonds, they also must be raw, our government requires that they be sterilized before sale so buy them at health food stores. I'd suggest thta rather than black tea whuich has strong caffeine tht stresses the heart it might be best to use this antioxidant:~Glutathione-the master antioxidant is a great helper to counteract many cardio complications. Chocolate is difficult to find that is not faked or turned into a high Fructose corn Syrup nightmare so I'd go with the above-mentioned master antioxidant.
Some definate Don'ts:
no processed foods
no High Fructose Corn Syrup
no highly cooked fats foods, While olive oil and garlic are great they are not great if cooked. If you want to cook someting in oil use only coconut oil.
no high temperature cooking /microwaves are out....
ARE YOU OVERWHELMED?
If you are telling yourself that all this is contrary to your ideas of how to live. Think about it this way, Is your health good enough to ignore it? Do you really want to spend your last days in awful pain after puking your guts up for weeks taking the Mustard gas derivitive the AMA calls Chemo therapy? Do you want to take rat poison the rest of your short life [rat poison-wayfarin- is what you get for blood thinning from your friendly neighborhood Doctor]. Are you feeling well enough now to ignore your health? Are you sure it will stay that way?
In conclusion, it's easy; eat natural, fresh veggies and fruits stay away from refined foods,[especially meats and grains with additives], exercise,lose weight, it's that dunlap that is stressing your Valentine!
I'M STILL LOSING WEIGHT, MY BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS ARE BELOW 110 CONSISTANTLY, MY CHOLESTEROL LEVELS ARE WAY LOWE, I FEEL GREAT AND YOU CAN TOO!
I have been taking my CellPower™that helps control cravings, adds enzymes and fights diseases and fungi. It is most certainly a big reason My digestive system is so much better.
Three men were sitting together bragging about how they had given their new wives duties.
The first man had married a woman from Colorado and had told her that she was going to do dishes and house cleaning. It took a couple days, but on the third day he came home to a clean house and dishes washed and put away.
The second man had married a woman from Nebraska. He had given his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes, and the cooking. The first day he didn't see any results, but the next day he saw it was better. By the third day, he saw his house was clean, the dishes were done, and there was a huge dinner on the table.
The third man had married a girl from Montana. He told her that her duties were to keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the first day he didn't see anything, the second day he didn't see anything, but by the third day some of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye, enough to fix himself a bite to eat and load the dishwasher.
DIABETES AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE
********DIABETES AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE **********
Premise: Antioxidants/exercise are essential for diabetics who have cardiovascular disease.
(1)
Atherosclerosis starts with the deposition of low-density lipoproteins (LDL or “bad cholesterol”) in blood vessel walls. However, LDL deposits by themselves do not cause atherosclerosis. LDL lipids have to be oxidatively damaged before cardiovascular disease (CVD) develops.
Given the role of oxidative damage in the development of CVD, antioxidant therapy seemed the obvious thing to try. It was therefore surprising that several large-scale clinical trials of patients with cardiovascular disease failed to show any benefit from antioxidant supplementation. There were indications, however, that a subset of patients in these trials might have derived a benefit from taking antioxidants. These patients had two things in common, namely diabetes and a particular form of the haptoglobin protein.
This world we live in where we eat polluted foods, drink polluted water, breathe polluted air and as stressed as we are free radicals and toxins are not theoretical. For Diabetics, these stressors are even more of a factor. The Liver/pancreas combination needed to keep disease at bay is already compromised. Many other stresses, are magnified in Diabetics as well because for instance lack of sleep [with which diabetics have difficulty], increases weight issues and low energy levels resultant contribute to lack of energy=less exercise, more weight, and so it goes. The over-worked Liver can't cope with its toxin-load and that is another addition to stress.
to wit:
Cortisol stress hormone when released has been shown to cause weight gain just from being under stress, especially in the mid-section. Leptin-the protein hormone is the full button; tells your body you do not need more food, and is released more efficiently when we are rested. The Ghrelin petide hormone; the one that increases appetite, is released when you are not rested.
So what can we do? First exercise is great, add a few leglifts when you are just standing around, do the belly/butt tucks, take the stairs, go to the store on your bike on occasion. Just keep moving around, exercise doesn't have to be all at once or the same kinds of things.
Take Antioxidants, this will help flush the pollutants/free radicals/toxins away. Just a quick refresher, the antioxidants create a chemical bond with the free rads and pull them out in the waste. If you aren't eating an optimal diet then Glutathione-the master antioxidant is a great helper to counteract many diabetic complications.
Of course eating a great diet of lo-[bad]carbs, fresh raw veggies, and healthy free range meats is the very best way to heal...To replace all the low mineral foods we seem to have because of our depleted soils and poor farming practices~SELENIUMhelps immune system,fights infection and aids circulation
~MAGNESIUMhelps to relax you, aids stress and muscle relaxing
~CHROMIUMimproves insulin sensitivity, and helps lower blood sugar.
~ZINC especially to help you heal.
Do you?""Yep, got my double bed right in back here, see?!"The light turns and the man in the Volkswagen takes off.Well, the guy in the Rolls is not about to be one-upped, so he goes immediately to a customizing shop and orders them to put a double bed in back of his
car.About two weeks later, the job is finally done and he picks up his car and drives all over town looking for the Volkswagen.He finally finds it parked alongside the road so he pulls his Rolls up next to it.The windows on the Volkswagen are all fogged up and he feels alittle awkward about it, but he gets out of his newly modified Rolls and taps on the foggy window of the Volkswagen.The man in the Volkswagen finally opens the window a crack and peeks out.The guy in the Rolls says, "Hey. Remember me?""Yeah, yeah, I remember you. What's up?""Check this out... I got a double bed installed in my Rolls."And the man in the Volkswagen says,"YOU GOT ME OUT OF THE SHOWER TO TELL ME THIS?"
A parish priest was being honored at a dinner on the 25th anniversary of his arrival in that parish. A leading local politician, who was a member of the congregation, was chosen to make the presentation and to give a little speech at the dinner, but he was delayed in traffic; so the priest decided to say his own few words as they waited.
" You will understand ," he said" the seal of the confessional can never be broken, however I got my first impression of the parish from the first confession I heard here. I can only hint vaguely about this, but when I came here 25 years ago I thought I had been assigned to the most terrible place. The very first chap who entered my confessional told me how he had stolen a television set, and when stopped by the police had almost murdered the officer! Father, he told me he had embezzled money from his place of business and had an affair with the boss's wife. I was appalled! But as the days went on I learned that my people were not all like that, and I had, indeed, come to a fine parish full of understanding and loving people."
Just as the priest finished his talk, the politician arrived full of apologies at being late. He immediately began the presentation and give his talk.
"I'll never forget the first day our parish priest arrived at the parish." said the politician, "In fact, I had the honor of being the first one to go to him in confession."
----THE REST OF THE STORY
Sign-up for the weekly newsletter digest that is packed with the latest news in healthy living, you need this resource interactive
write to me at webriter@verizon.net or mark_my_bailey@yahoo.com.
**************THE REST OF THE STORY*******************************
I used to hunt thru' old books on herbal cures and newer publications for hints of old remedies.
I'd get junk mail with headlines like:
~LOWER YOUR BLOOD SUGAR WITH A COMMON HERB FROM YOUR CUPBOARD.see pg 345
~WHAT OLD-FASHIONED 'MEDICINE' WILL GET RID OF THOSE ACHES AND PAINS? see page 421
~LOWER YOUR CHOLESTEROL LEVELS WITH THESE EASY TO TAKE COMMON FOODS.see page 112
Now all of those are a come-on to get you to buy their book, but I'll tell you how to do all of those things for free and give you the whole story, because none of those things are a real cure, they are mere hints of tiny helps to point you in the right direction to getting healthy. No, I didn't say healthier, I said Healthy, AND IT'S NOT TOO LATE!
First to answer the three questions from the junk mail, it is cinnamon, cod lover oil, Garlic and onions. But There is so much more to tell about each one, it's not just sprinkle a bitty bit of cinnamon on your morning toast, for instance, it requires about a teaspoon. And make sure your cinnamon is pure. Your body won't thank you for loading up on pesticide-laden spices, nor Genetically modified foods or, highly processed ones, If your cinnamon has been cooked or irradiated it might be worthless......
Here is anther tip for lowering blood glucose, I juice three stalks of celery per day it really takes the blood sugar levels down quickly. I eat a protein breakfast with an apple snack so I'm balancing my food groups without a lot of counting and bother, I'm doing a lo-carb, emphasis on raw veggie/fruits. I'm doing a purifying diet this week so we'll see how it goes. I know I feel so much better eating very little, I also know I may be terribly hungry but it's only a week, but then it might stretch out more....
I hear people [oh yes and myself] wingeing about oh I'll miss my "this food" or "that food", "I can't give up my pizza." "I love sweets way too much to quit eating cake[insert your favorite here]". "I just can't go without my MSG laden foods, they taste so good."
But we [yes, I include myself in this] can make this decision. Will I cut down on the bad stuff, even cut it out to live? Will I rather be puking my guts up and running to the bathroom with diarrhea every few minutes with Chemo-therapy or radiation as I watch my self slip away,[oh no, it's not a pleasant death I assure you] or see my body turn into one huge pain factory? Would I rather spend my last five years drooling on myself at the mercy of strangers in a wheel chair?
My parents [both sets] died after prolonged illnesses [prolonged means it took a
lo-o-ong time to die BTW] they all had Cancer, my adoptive parents and my birth/step parents in great pain and heartache. My step-father hurt so bad the last few weeks he cried constantly. My birth mother, who was also diabetic and had refused to deal properly with her diabetes [her home was filled with candy goodies, when I cleaned it up after she died] lay in a hospital bed surrounded by filth, [a bad nursing home] she finally contracted MRSA, was too weak to fight it and knew nothing but pain her final five weeks. She had wizened up to a tiny frail bald thing, in her bed the last time I saw her.
So, here's the thing. Either we accept that life is worth living, oh; and the healthier food actually tastes better when you've lost the toxins from the
modern-diet foods,and we make a change towards healthier foods, and the change can be as gradual as you'd like; depending on, of course how sick you really are.
Diabetic help
(1)
=>Eating in a way that balances your blood sugar, reduces inflammation and oxidative stress, and improves your liver detoxification is the key to preventing and reversing insulin resistance and diabetes.
=>It is a way of eating that includes anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and detoxifying foods. It includes plenty of omega-3 fats and olive oil, beans, nuts, and seeds.
=>All these foods help prevent and reverse diabetes and insulin resistance. This is the way of eating than turns on all the right gene messages, promotes a healthy metabolism, and prevents aging and age-related diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
Here are more specifics.
Meal Timing
Eat protein for breakfast every day, such as whole omega-3 eggs, a soy protein shake, or nut butters
Eat something every 4 hours to keep your insulin and glucose levels normal
Eat small protein snacks in the morning and afternoon, such as a handful of almonds
Finish eating at least 2 to 3 hours before bed. If you have a snack earlier in the day, you won’t be as hungry, even if you eat a little later
Meal Composition
=>Controlling the glycemic load of your meals is very important
You can do this by combining adequate protein, fats, and whole-food carbohydrates from vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds, and fruit at every meal or snack
It is most important to avoid eating quickly absorbed carbohydrates alone, as they raise your sugar and insulin levels
Travel Suggestions
=>Two handfuls of almonds in a zip-lock bag make a useful emergency snack. You can eat them with a piece of fruit. Remember, real food is the best.
Choose from a variety of the following real, whole foods:
=>Choose organic produce and animal products whenever possible.
=>Eat high-quality protein, such as fish -- especially fatty, cold-water fish like salmon, sable, small halibut, herring, and sardines -- and shellfish.
Cold-water fish such as salmon, halibut, and sable contain an abundance of beneficial essential fatty acids, omega-3 oils that reduce inflammation. Smaller wild Alaskan salmon, sable, and halibut that are low in toxins. Canned wild salmon is a great “emergency” food.
Eat up to eight [omega-3] eggs a week.
=>Create meals that are high in low-glycemic legumes such as lentils, chickpeas These foods slow the release of sugars into the bloodstream, which helps prevent the excess insulin release that can lead to health concerns like obesity, high blood pressure, and heart problems.
=>Eat a cornucopia of fresh fruits and vegetables teeming with phytonutrients like carotenoids, flavonoids, and polyphenols, which are associated with a lower incidence of nearly all health problems, including obesity and age-related disease.
=>Eat more low-glycemic vegetables, such as asparagus, broccoli, kale, spinach, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts.
=>Berries, cherries, peaches, plums, rhubarb, pears, and apples are optimal fruits. Cantaloupes and other melons, grapes, and kiwifruit are suitable; however, they contain more sugar. You can use organic frozen berries (such as those from Cascadian Farms) in your protein shakes.
=>Focus on anti-inflammatory foods, including wild fish and other sources of omega-3 fats, red and purple berries (these are rich in polyphenols), dark green leafy vegetables, orange sweet potatoes, and nuts.
=>Eat more antioxidant-rich foods, including orange and yellow vegetables, dark green leafy vegetables (kale, collards, spinach, etc.), anthocyanidins (berries, beets, grapes, pomegranate), purple grapes, blueberries, bilberries, cranberries, and cherries. In fact, antioxidants are in all colorful fruits and vegetables.
=>Include detoxifying foods in your diet, such as cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, kale, collards, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, bok choy, Chinese cabbage, and Chinese broccoli), green tea, watercress, dandelion greens, cilantro, artichokes, garlic, citrus peels, pomegranate, and even cocoa.
=>Season your food with herbs such as rosemary, ginger, and turmeric, which are powerful antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and detoxifiers.
Avoid excessive quantities of meat.
=>Eat lean organic or grass-fed animal products, when possible. These include eggs, beef, chicken, pork, lamb, buffalo, and ostrich.
I even was able to buy Buffalo meat at Safeway for a while. I'm hoping to raise my own chickens in the near future.
This source claimed that eating soybean products is good for you but I must demur here. see Soy; healthfood or hazard?
I personally have found I'm also sensitive to grains so I've eliminated them from my diet. Dr. Hyman recommends eating rye as it will help normalize Insulin resistance, but I ate two slices of rye toast for breakfast for years without much help, but it might be a good thing for someone else....I am on a very lo-carb diet anyway so I'm not eating any bread.
THE GOOD NEWS- You don't have to give up fat, yes, you heard it right, the scientists have it all wrong, well no trans fats for sure, but the saturated and polyunsaturated fats are realy good for you, remember the Essential fatty acids? We do need lots of it[did you know our brains are made up of mostly fat?]. Truly I kid you not. BUT eliminate all those vegetable oils they say are good for you, they are not. I use only coconut oil, and if I want a salad olive oil for dressing, [I never heat up any oil except for coconut oil], all others become toxic when heated.
I continue to take the following which are really helping me to heal:
CellPower™ to cover the basics, also
FLAX SEED OIL for my colon, but of course
~Glutathione-the master antioxidant is a great helper to counteract many diabetic complications.
~4 essential minerals for diabetics
~SELENIUMhelps immune system,fights infection and aids circulation
~MAGNESIUMhelps to relax you, aids stress and muscle relaxing
~CHROMIUMimproves insulin sensitivity, and helps lower blood sugar.
~ZINC especially to help you heal.
~coconut oil
for the Omega-3~6 balance and losing weight.
Also I really have to give you one little miracle I know to be true: Cinnamon, but it needs to be pure and at least a teaspoon per meal to do any good. It really lowers my blood glucose levels. OH AND SO DOES CELERY, EAT LOTS OF CELERY!
GOD LIVES UNDER THE BED
I envy Kevin. My brother Kevin thinks God lives under his bed. At least that's what I heard him say one night.
He was praying out loud in his dark bedroom, and I stopped to listen, "Are you there, God?" he said. "Where are you? Oh, I see. Under the bed..."
I giggled softly and tiptoed off to my own room. Kevin's unique perspectives are often a source of amusement. But that night something else lingered long after the humor. I realized for the first time the very different world Kevin lives in.
He was born 30 years ago, mentally disabled as a result of difficulties during labor. Apart from his size (he's 6-foot-2); there are few ways in which he is an adult.
He reasons and communicates with the capabilities of a 7-year-old, and he always will. He will probably always believe that God lives under his bed, that Santa Claus is the one who fills the space under our tree every Christmas and that airplanes stay up in the sky because angels carry them.
I remember wondering if Kevin realizes he is different. Is he ever dissatisfied with his monotonous life?
Up before dawn each day, off to work at a workshop for the disabled, home to walk our cocker spaniel, return to eat his favorite macaroni and cheese for dinner, and later to bed.
The only variation in the entire scheme is laundry, when he hovers excitedly over the washing machine like a mother with her newborn child.
He does not seem dissatisfied.
He lopes out to the bus every morning at 7:05, eager for a day of simple work.
He wrings his hands excitedly while the water boils on the stove before dinner, and he stays up late twice a week to gather our dirty laundry for his next day's laundry chores.
And Saturdays - oh, the bliss of Saturdays! That's the day my Dad takes Kevin to the airport to have a soft drink, watch the planes land, and speculate loudly on the destination of each passenger inside. "That one's goin' to Chi-car-go!" Kevin shouts as he claps his hands.
His anticipation is so great he can hardly sleep on Friday nights.
And so goes his world of daily rituals and weekend field trips.
He doesn't know what it means to be discontent.
His life is simple.
He will never know the entanglements of wealth of power, and he does not care what brand of clothing he wears or what kind of food he eats. His needs have always been met, and he never worries that one day they may not be.
His hands are diligent. Kevin is never so happy as when he is working. When he unloads the dishwasher or vacuums the carpet, his heart is completely in it.
He does not shrink from a job when it is begun, and he does not leave a job until it is finished. But when his tasks are done, Kevin knows how to relax.
He is not obsessed with his work or the work of others. His heart is pure.
He still believes everyone tells the truth, promises must be kept, and when you are wrong, you apologize instead of argue.
Free from pride and unconcerned with appearances, Kevin is not afraid to cry when he is hurt, angry or sorry. He is always transparent, always sincere. And he trusts God.
Not confined by intellectual reasoning, when he comes to Christ, he comes as a child. Kevin seems to know God - to really be friends with Him in a way that is difficult for an "educated" person to grasp. God seems like his closest companion.
In my moments of doubt and frustrations with my Christianity I envy the security Kevin has in his simple faith.
It is then that I am most willing to admit that he has some divine knowledge that rises above my mortal questions.
It is then I realize that perhaps he is not the one with the handicap. I am. My obligations, my fear, my pride, my circumstances - they all become disabilities when I do not trust them to God's care.
Who knows if Kevin comprehends things I can never learn? After all, he has spent his whole life in that kind of innocence, praying after dark and soaking up the goodness and love of God.
And one day, when the mysteries of heaven are opened, and we are all amazed at how close God really is to our hearts, I'll realize that God heard the simple prayers of a boy who believed that God lived under his bed.
Kevin won't be surprised at all!
CATHOLIC HORSES
One day while he was at the track playing the ponies and all but losing his shirt, Mitch noticed a priest who stepped out onto the track and blessed the forehead of one of the horses lining up for the 4th race.
Lo and behold, that horse - a very long shot - won the race.
Before the next race, as the horses began lining up, Mitch watched with interest the old priest step onto the track. Sure enough, as the 5th race horses came to the starting gate the priest made a blessing on the forehead of one of the horses.
Mitch made a beeline for a betting window and placed a small bet on the horse. Again, even though it was another long shot, the horse the priest had blessed won the race.
Mitch collected his winnings, and anxiously waited to see which horse the priest would bless for the 6th race. The priest again blessed a horse.
Mitch bet big on it, and it won. Mitch was elated. As the races continued the priest kept blessing long shot horses, and each one ended up coming in first.
Bye and bye, Mitch was pulling in some serious money. By the last race, he knew his wildest dreams were going to come true. He made a quick dash to the ATM, withdrew all his savings, and awaited the priest's blessing that
would tell him which horse to bet on.
True to his pattern, the priest stepped onto the track for the last race and blessed the forehead of an old nag that was the longest shot of the day. Mitch also observed the priest blessing the eyes, ears, and hooves of the old nag.
Mitch knew he had a winner and bet every cent he owned on the old nag. He then watched dumbfounded as the old nag come in dead last. Mitch, in a state of shock, made his way down to the track area where the priest was.
Confronting the old priest he demanded, "Father! What happened? All day long you blessed horses and they all won. Then in the last race, the horse you blessed lost by a Kentucky mile. Now, thanks to you I've lost every cent of my savings - all of it!".
The priest nodded wisely and with sympathy. "Son," he said, "that's the problem with you Protestants, you can't tell the difference between a simple blessing and last rites."
Ancient Artifact?
A little boy opened the big and old family Bible with fascination, looking at the old pages as he turned them. Then something fell out of the Bible and he picked up and looked at it closely. It was an old leaf from a tree. The leaf had been pressed in between pages. "Momma, look what I found", the boy called out. "What have you got there, dear?" his mother asked. With astonishment in the young boy's voice he answered: "It's Adam's suit!!!!!"
~~~
A mom was concerned about her kindergarten son walking to school. He didn't want his mother to walk
With him. She wanted to give him the feeling that he had some independence but yet know that he was safe.
So she had an idea of how to handle it. She asked a neighbor if she would please follow him to school
In the mornings, staying at a distance, so he probably wouldn't notice her.
The neighbor said that since she was up early with her toddler anyway, it would be a good way for them to get some exercise as well, so she agreed.
The next school day, the neighbor and her little girl set out following behind Timmy as he walked to school with another neighbor boy he knew. She did this for the whole week.
As the boys walked and chatted, kicking stones and twigs, Timmy's little friend noticed the same lady was following them as she seemed to do every day all week. Finally he said to Timmy, "Have you noticed that lady following us to school all week? Do you know her?"
Timmy nonchalantly replied, "Yeah, I know who she is."
The friend said, "Well, who is she?"
"That's just Shirley Goodnest," Timmy replied, "and her daughter Marcy."
" Shirley Goodnest? Who the heck is she and why is she following us? "
"Well," Timmy explained, "every night my Mom makes me say the 23rd Psalm with my prayers, 'cuz she worries about me so much. And in the Psalm, it says, ' Shirley Goodnest and Marcy shall follow me all the days of my
Life, so I guess I'll just have to get used to it!"

I wish you a day filled with sunshine and inexplicable joy, a Healthy life and happy family.

5 Steps To Perfect Health

5 Steps To Perfect Health
By: Anna CooganSource: http://www.independent.ieNovember 24, 2007

How healthy are you? According to TV nutritionist Patrick Holford, probably not very. But there is hope for us all yet with this simple guide

‘I'd describe 100pc health as waking up full of energy, with a sharp mind, great mood, no aches and pains, no digestive problems, no weight problems and nothing that would indicate a risk of disease – in other words, perfect blood pressure and cholesterol," says TV nutritionist Patrick Holford, who is currently touring Ireland with the aim of getting us in shape.

“So far, over 5,000 Irish people have completed my questionnaire on diet and lifestyle and the nation's health is not looking good,” he says.

“In my questionnaire, participants are asked about diet, sleep patterns, general health, and allergy symptoms. The average score is around 40pc,” says the founder of The Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London.

“I believe that by following my five steps to better health, people can increase their score in less than three months.

“Celebrity Big Brother contestant Danielle Lloyd is a case in point. The 23-year-old scored 37pc on the test with low energy, bloating and stomach pains, irregular periods and weight gain as her health issues.

“However, she followed my five steps for six weeks and her health score more than doubled to 76pc.

“If you optimise your nutrition and possibly take supplements along with an improved diet, then most people can achieve a score of 80pc or more,” he says.

Holford believes there are five key processes in our bodies – and keeping these in tune are the five golden secrets of

having 100pc health.

1. Balance Your Blood Sugar

Holford says: “It's not fat that is causing the epidemic of weight gain, diabetes and heart disease, it's sugar and refined or processed carbohydrates.

“When you eat too much sugar and refined carbohydrates, you get a quick burst of energy followed by a lull.

“And when your blood sugar is too high you convert the excess to fat. You not only need to eat fewer carbohydrates, but also the right kinds.

“But now there's an exciting new science called glyconutrition, which recognizes that the body needs several different kinds of sugars to make a variety of glycoproteins. An example is glucosamine, which keeps your joints healthy.

“Another example is beta-glucans, carbohydrates that can be found in foods, such as mushrooms, oats, barley, and yeast. These clever sugars help control diabetes, promote weight loss and lower cholesterol.”

Holford's bestselling Low GL Diet is based on these food principles.

2. Eat Fats that Heal, Not Fats that Kill

‘Fat isn’t just the stuff we store too much of. There are intelligent fats too, the omega 3 and 6 fats that control everything from our mood to our risk of heart disease.

“For example, omega 3 fats will do more to reverse arthritis than any pain-killer drug, while six out of eight trials show they are highly effective as anti-depressants.

“The UK's National Institute of Clinical Excellence recommends that all doctors prescribe one gram of fish oil to patients who have had a heart attack. The trouble is, most of us don't eat nearly enough omega 3 and 6 fats.

“I have oily fish three times a day and also have a tablespoon of ground seeds such as flax and pumpkin seeds. And I also take both omega 3 and omega 6 supplements every day too.

“The worst fats are from deep-fried and processed foods high in hydrogenated fats. They make brain membranes thicker and less flexible. They make people thicker too.”

3. Bump up Your B's

‘Alzheimer's is a preventable disease, but the older you are the more B vitamins you need to keep your mind sharp. Many people over the age of 60 need 100 times the basic RDA to keep their memory sharp and protect their brain. B vitamin supplements are essential.

“A toxic substance in your blood, called homocysteine, will predict your risk for heart disease and stroke better than cholesterol, plus your risk of losing your memory. If you have enough B vitamins your homocysteine level is low. If you don't have enough, it goes high.

“Women with high homocysteine levels have 20 times the risk of pregnancy complications or of children born with birth defects.

“There is also a process called methylation that happens a billion times every few seconds in your body and brain. It keeps everything in balance and makes you feel ‘connected' and it depends on B vitamins, especially B6, B12 and folic acid.

“I believe eating wholefoods, fruit and vegetables, and staying away from white, refined foods is essential. I also supplement B vitamins every day, taking BioCare's Optimum Nutrition Pack containing an antioxidant multivitamin, extra vitamin C and essential fats.”

4. Antioxidants Are a Girl's Best Friend

‘The secret to staying young is to up your intake of antioxidants. These are nature's anti-ageing nutrients, high in fruit and vegetables, but highest in berries and dark green vegetables such as kale, spinach and broccoli. Red wine and red grapes contain one of the most potent antioxidants of all, called resveratrol.

“I always advocate eating a multi-coloured diet, with something green, something orange such as carrots, something blue/red such as berries, and something yellow every day – and the odd glass of red wine. The yellow spice turmeric, and also mustard are potent anti-inflammatories.”

5. Water – the Body's Most Essential Nutrient

‘Water is freely available but most people just don't drink enough. You literally need at least eight glasses of water a day. Your brain and body is two thirds water. If you only drink when you’re thirsty, your body is already dehydrated.

Not drinking enough makes you tired and dries out your skin and your joints. It's a major cause of constipation. The long-term effects of not drinking enough are more serious – including kidney stones. Hunger is often confused for thirst, so when you're hungry drink a glass a water. Dehydration also causes a loss of concentration. Drinking water needs to become a habit if you want 100pc health.”

Woman's Vocabulary

1.) FINE: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2.) FIVE MINUTES: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five Minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3.) NOTHING: This is the calm before the storm. This means something,and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in FINE.

4.) GO AHEAD: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

5.) LOUD SIGH: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statementoften misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)

6.) THAT'S OK: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7.) THANKS: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint.
Just say you're welcome.

8.) WHATEVER: Is a women's way of saying- well- you know!

9.) DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT , I'LL GET IT: Another dangerous statement,
meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "what's wrong", for the woman's response refer to # 3.

ALPHA LIPOIC ACID

To fully understand the benefits of Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) it is helpful to know a little about antioxidants and their role in eliminating and counteracting the impact of free radicals. A free radical is a normal by-product of metabolic processes in the body. Its atomic make up allows a free radical to easily attach to other atoms causing chemical reactions. While some free radicals are desirable, like those that help destroy viruses and bacteria, excessive free radicals can cause disease and contribute to the aging process. In addition to normal production by the body, free radicals result from environmental stresses such as smoking and pollution. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals and detoxify the body.

ALA is an important nutrient. First, because it is a powerful antioxidant, it works to scavenge free radicals by reversing their effect on the body. Second, ALA functions to help regenerate Vitamins C and E, also antioxidants. To neutralize free radicals, Vitamins C and E must give up part of their atomic structure. ALA makes them useful again by replenishing this part.

ALA is also well known for its use in diabetes treatment. It is a key factor in the metabolism of glucose, making it useful energy for the cell. ALA has been used successfully in Germany for diabetes treatment since the 1960’s. Numerous human clinical studies have verified the efficacy of ALA in diabetic treatment.

Because ALA is soluble in both water and fat, its benefits are enhanced as it can move into all parts of cells to deactivate free radicals. ALA is also important for generating energy in the body and deficiencies may result in the slowing of the metabolic rate.

~Helps regenerate Vitamins C and E increasing their effectiveness in scavenging free radicals.
~Used since the 1960’s in Europe for its positive effects on blood sugar levels.
~Key to proper metabolism of glucose in the cell.
~Helps limit aging effects of free radical damage.
~Positively affects the metabolism, leading to increased energy.
~Easily absorbed and beneficial to brain health.

ALPHA LIPOIC ACID

FROM THE LINUS PAULING INSTITUTE:
Summary

*Alpha-lipoic acid (LA), also known as thioctic acid, is a naturally occurring compound that is synthesized in small amounts by humans. More information
*Endogenously synthesized LA is bound to protein and functions as a cofactor for several important mitochondrial enzymes. More information
*Supplementation with high doses of LA transiently increases plasma and cellular levels of free LA. More information
*Although LA is a potent antioxidant in the test tube, LA supplementation may affect health by stimulating glutathione synthesis, enhancing insulin signaling and modulating the activity of other cell signaling molecules and transcription factors. More information
*Overall, the available research indicates that treatment with 600 mg/day of intravenous racemic LA for 3 weeks significantly reduces the symptoms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. More information
*Although the benefit of long-term oral LA supplementation for diabetic peripheral neuropathy is less clear, there is some evidence that oral supplementation with at least 600 mg/day of racemic LA may be beneficial. More information
*It is not yet known whether LA supplementation is beneficial in the treatment of multiple sclerosis or neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease. More information
*If you choose to take LA supplements, the Linus Pauling Institute recommends a daily dose of 200-400 mg/day of racemic LA for generally healthy people.

If you are having difficulty translating the above into plain English, here goes:
ALA enables the body to extract glutathione, the master antioxidant into a usable form to help attach to all the adulterants in our food, water and air and flush them away, Then it enables diabetics to become more sensitive to the insulin, because as those who have Type II know, it's not lack of insulin we have a problem with it's the lack of our body's ability to use it properly that is our problem. ALA addresses that. ALA allows the body to assimilate, and utilize the enzymes we manage to eat. Also from other sources,it easily absorbs into the body, it detoxes the Liver and protects the eyes possibly alleviating glaucoma. AND, we can get it either in foods [see below] or by supplementation.

***Good food sources of alpha-lipoic acid include spinach, broccoli, beef, yeast (particularly Brewer's yeast), and certain organ meats (such as the kidney and heart). Hey, a good reason to eat beef.

One caution, ALA might not be best for people who take Thyroid meds, and diabetics may need to take less insulin [this is a problem? nope, not for me!].

I usually take ALA, but haven't mentioned it for a while, Every time I look at the benefits of it, I'm awed anew.

I an taking it and CellPower™ cellpower~natural cures,natural alternative medicine,body rescue alkalizing,most alkalizing,alkalizing drops,body ph health<br />natural healing,cell health,oxygenate,cellpower,detoxify; has really CHANGED MY LIFE! The only other things I take are::coconut oil

is great for cooking and for continued weight loss. I really notice the difference in my weight control when I'm out of it for a while.
AND:
FLAX SEED OIL for my colon, but of course FLAX SEED OIL is also a great source of omega-3 essential fatty acids.
Every day.

Essays

Every year, English teachers from across the USA can submit their collections of actual analogies and metaphors found in high school essays. These excerpts are published each year to the amusement of teachers across the country. Here are last year's winners.

2. His thoughts tumbled in his head, making and breaking alliances like underpants in a dryer without Cling Free.

3. He spoke with the wisdom that can only come from experience, like a guy who went blind because he looked at a solar eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it and now goes around the country speaking at high schools about the dangers of looking at a solar eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it.

13. The hailstones leaped from the pavement, just like maggots when you fry them in hot grease.

14. Long separated by cruel fate, the star-crossed lovers raced across the grassy field toward each other like two freight trains, one having left Cleveland at 6:36 p.m. traveling at 55 mph, the other from Topeka at 4:19 p.m. at a speed of 35 mph.

23. The ballerina rose gracefully en Pointe and extended one slender leg behind her, like a dog at a fire hydrant.

24. It was an American tradition, like fathers chasing kids around with power tools.

~~~ACTUAL DOCTOR STORIES~~~
A man comes into the ER and yells, "My wife's going to have her baby in the cab!" I grabbed my stuff, rushed out to the cab, lifted the lady's dress, and began to take off her underwear. Suddenly I noticed that there were several cabs, and I was in the wrong one. --Dr. Mark MacDonald, San Antonio, TX
At the beginning of my shift I placed a stethoscope on an elderly and slightly deaf female patient's anterior chest wall. "Big breaths," I instructed. "Yes, they used to be," she remorsefully replied. --Dr. Richard Byrnes, Seattle, WA
One day I had to be the bearer of bad news when I told a wife that her husband had died of a massive myocardial infarct. Not more than five minutes later, I heard her reporting to the rest of the family that he had died of a "massive internal fart." --Dr. Susan Steinberg, Manitoba, Canada
I was performing a complete physical, including the visual acuity test. I placed the patient twenty feet from the chart and began, "Cover your right eye with your hand." He read the 20/20 line perfectly. "Now your left." Again, a flawless read. "Now both," I requested. There was silence. He couldn't even read the large E on the top line. I turned and discovered that he had done exactly what I had asked; he was standing there with both his eyes covered. I was laughing too hard to finish the exam. --Dr. Matthew Theodropolous, Worcester, MA
During a patient's two week follow-up appointment with his cardiologist, he informed me, his doctor, that he was having trouble with one of his medications. Which one?" I asked. "The patch. The nurse told me to put on a new one every six hours and now I'm running out of places to put it!" I had him quickly undress and discovered what I hoped I wouldn't see. Yes, the man had over fifty patches on his body! Now the instructions include removal of the old patch before applying a new one. --Dr. Rebecca St. Clair, Norfolk, VA
While acquainting myself with a new elderly patient, I asked, "How long have you been bed-ridden?" After a look of complete confusion she answered, "Why, not for about twenty years -- when my husband was alive." --Dr. Steven Swanson, Corvallis, OR
I was caring for a woman from Kentucky and asked, "So, how's your breakfast this morning?" "It's very good, except for the Kentucky Jelly. I can't seem to get used to the taste," the patient replied. I then asked to see the jelly and the woman produced a foil packet labeled "KY Jelly." --Dr. Leonard Kransdorf, Detroit, MI
A new, young MD doing his residency in OB was quite embarrassed performing female pelvic exams. To cover his embarrassment he had unconsciously formed a habit of whistling softly. The middle aged lady upon whom he was performing this exam suddenly burst out laughing and further embarrassed him. He looked up from his work and sheepishly said, "I'm sorry. Was I tickling you?" She replied, "No doctor, but the song you were whistling was "I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Wiener." --won't admit his name
A woman and her son were taking a cab in New York City. It was raining and all the hookers were standing under the awnings.
"Mommy," said the little boy, "what are all those ladies doing?"
"They're waiting for their husbands to get off of work," she replied.
The cabbie turns around and says, "Geez lady, why don't you tell him the truth? Their hookers. They have sex with men for money."
The little boy's eyes get wide and he says, "Is that true, mommy?" His mother, glaring at the cabbie, answers in the affirmative.
After a few minutes, the kid asks, "Mommy what happens to the babies those ladies have?"
"They mostly become cab drivers," she replied.
MODERN STRESSES AND OUR HEALTH
I know everyone has heard about free radicals:
(1)
"To understand the way that free radicals and antioxidants interact, you must first understand a bit about cells and molecules. So here's a (very) brief refresher course in Physiology/Chemistry 101: The human body is composed of many different types of cells. Cells are composed of many different types of molecules. Molecules consist of one or more atoms of one or more elements joined by chemical bonds.
The human body is composed of many different types of cells. Cells are composed of many different types of molecules. Molecules consist of one or more atoms of one or more elements joined by chemical bonds.
Atoms consist of a nucleus, neutrons, protons and electrons. The number of protons (positively charged particles) in the atom’s nucleus determines the number of electrons (negatively charged particles) surrounding the atom. Electrons are involved in chemical reactions and are the substance that bonds atoms together to form molecules. Electrons surround, or "orbit" an atom in one or more shells. The innermost shell is full when it has two electrons. When the first shell is full, electrons begin to fill the second shell. When the second shell has eight electrons, it is full, and so on.
Normally, bonds don’t split in a way that leaves a molecule with an odd, unpaired electron. But when weak bonds split, free radicals are formed. Free radicals are very unstable and react quickly with other compounds, trying to capture the needed electron to gain stability. Generally, free radicals attack the nearest stable molecule, "stealing" its electron. When the "attacked" molecule loses its electron, it becomes a free radical itself, beginning a chain reaction. Once the process is started, it can cascade, finally resulting in the disruption of a living cell.
Some free radicals arise normally during metabolism. Sometimes the body’s immune system’s cells purposefully create them to neutralize viruses and bacteria. However, environmental factors such as pollution, radiation, cigarette smoke and herbicides can also spawn free radicals.
Antioxidants neutralize free radicals by donating one of their own electrons, ending the electron-"stealing" reaction. The antioxidant nutrients themselves don’t become free radicals by donating an electron because they are stable in either form They act as scavengers, helping to prevent cell and tissue damage that could lead to cellular damage and disease."
Is that clear? Ok, it's like this three kids form a play group, there has to be three, one more joins and they are unhappy, so a rescue group joins and there are two groups of three; as happy as can be.
(1)
The Lesson: Eat Your Fruits and Vegetables!
The antioxidants are believed to help protect the body from free-radical damage. But before you go out and stock your pantry with mega-doses of these vitamins, be warned: more is not always better. The long-term effect of large doses of these nutrients has not been proven. Other chemicals and substances found in natural sources of antioxidants may also be responsible for the beneficial effects. So for now, the best way to ensure adequate intake of the antioxidant nutrients is through a balanced diet consisting of 5-8 servings of fruits and vegetables per day.
Of course as we've seen before not all veggies and fruits are created equal, threre are real foods and GM 'foods', ther is stuff grown in good soil and some grown in poor soil, there is food grown both with and without the 'cides [herba- and pesti-]. So often supplementing is better than doing without or getting bad 'food'.
My first choice for detoxifying is CellPower™. It puffs up our cells with oxygen that is lacking in our environment air, and allows the release of all spent nutrients that build up and also forces the free radicals out.
VOC gasses:
VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compounds. And there's nothing 'organic' in the classic "good for you' sense.
We've all heard that the travel trailers made for Katrina victims has further victimized them with VOC gasses left in them from the manufacturing processes. The new smell you get in automobiles, Mobil homes, new construction on stick-built homes is formaldahydde.
I have a personal story concerning formaldahyde. I worked for 8 months in a dot com business. The office had an issue with formaldahyde in the carpets and I developed a case of bronchitis that has never really left me and it's been 4 years since I was in that building. However with the CellPower™, I'm really on-the-mend.
Not all VOC's are formaldahyde; Perchloroethylene is a cancer-causing VOC used in dry cleaning. Look for environmentally friendly cleaners that do not use this toxic chemical.
(2)
Sources of VOCs Include ...
Paints
Paint strippers and other solvents
Wood preservatives
Aerosol sprays
Cleansers and disinfectants
Moth repellents
Air fresheners
Stored fuels and automotive products
Hobby supplies
Dry-cleaned clothing
Varnishes
Newspaper
Cooking
Vinyl floors
Carpets
Photocopying
Upholstery fabrics
Adhesives
Sealing caulks
Cosmetics
Vehicle exhaust
Pressed wood furniture
Tobacco smoke (secondhand smoke)
Acute symptoms of VOC exposure include:
Eye irritation/watering, Nose and throat irritation, Headaches, Nausea/vomiting,
Dizziness, Asthma exacerbation, Allergic skin reaction, Memory impairment,Visual disorders,
However, over time, VOCs can lead to many serious conditions including:
Cancer, Damage to the liver, kidney and central nervous system,Loss of coordination.
'cides:
Agri-business just doesn't have the resources we've had in times past to individualy pick weeds or pluck insects off crops to keep the crop safe from either, so they use buckets of herbacides and pesticides to do that job for them.
Let's just face facts here we on this planet are all carbon-based and what kills the cells of a batch of quack grass will kill cells in our own bodies. What distroys an insect that sucks the juices out of a plant will do something yucky to us too.
I am not going into a huge dissertation of what the individual chemicals that are used for each of these 'cides will do to us, I will just give you an anecdotal account. My step-father was a State Agricultural inspecter in Minnesota. he knew lots of varied people in this capacty and since hje had a large potato farm he met with and had lots of experience with chemicals. He told me he watched as a friend of his who was a pesticide sprayer; piloting a spray plane, accidentally flew into a cloud of pesticide he'd just sprayed. Well, he landed, got out and promptly fell dead on the tarmac, 'Nuff said.
I don't like to think of this but it's quite true that much of these chemicals are not just on the veggies and fruits but inside them. More free radicals.....We are constantly exposed to this chemical stew, and it's no wonder we stay so sick, and even if we "have a longer life span" than previous generations the quality of that life is certainly not lasting. This is why a good supplement like CellPower™ is so necessary for those who are beginning to feel our environmental stresses, and especially for those who aren't yet. I was so very sick when I started taking it that it immediatly gave me a huge boost of energy, cleared up some problems I've had with me for many years and is working quite well on getting the chronic troubles chased outta me.
It is a natural product, which unlike drugs that shock and awe your body into change, often causing side effects, cellpower will gently adjust your systems towards health, without causing sides at all. Sometimes there is a Herxheimer effect, Your body; while throwing off toxins and pollutants, will feel a bit sickish, sometimes for as long as two weeks, then a huge burst of health will follow.
I had just done a few flushes, liver and colon, so I got the Herxheimer's with them and was primed for that lovely burst of health. See:for an explaination of Herxheimer's
A patient underwent intense therapy to rid him of the delusion that a huge fortune awaited him. He was expecting two letters: one would give him sole title to a huge Spanish treasure lost by Francisco Orellena in the Amazon River; the other, of course, from Publisher's Clearing House awarding him 11.7 million dollars.
Just when the psychiatrist was making real progress in curing the man, both letters arrived.
I'm still waiting for my letters. Today's the day!
The player agreed, so the coach looked into his eyes intently and asked, "Okay, now concentrate hard and tell me the answer to this. What is two plus two?"
The player thought for a moment and then answered, "4?"
"Did you say 4?" the coach exclaimed, excited that he had got it right.
