PH CRISIS

(1)"The scale that is used for measuring the pH, or hydrogen ion concentration … is from 0 to 14, with 7 being the neutral point."

A normal body PH is 7.35 too much lower means the body is in decay, an Acid body is a decaying body.

The basis of our make-up is Hygrogen a Greek word meaning born of water, we are over 75% water=H2O two atoms of Hydrogen one of Oxygen. Oxygen is from a greek formation meaning burning of new genes.

Alkaline(Hydrogen)builds up; Acid(oxygen)breaks down, that's why we are made up of two H and one O,

So, this is what happens when the Acid overwhelms the Alkaline:

(2)"When the body is too acidic as a result of acid forming foods, high fat, mucus forming foods, and toxic food residues, disease and infections proliferate. This is especially true in cases of arthritis and rheumatic situations.

(1)"Excessive acidity causes numerous disturbances such as:
Weakening of the skin, hair, nails, teeth
Deterioration of the digestive tract
Excitability of the nervous system, sciatica
Tendency to depressive illness
Muscular spasms and cramps
Enhances susceptibility to infections
Chronic fatigue
Blockage of certain minerals which become unavailable"

(2)"Alkaline-producing examples:
Fruits
Vegetables
Sprouts
Cereal grasses
Herbs

The acid and alkaline balance can be changed by simple practices such as:

Soak mildly acid-forming foods such as whole grains and legumes before cooking them, starting the sprouting process, which is alkalizing.
Chew thoroughly the complex carbohydrates as grains, vegetables, and legumes in order to mix them with salvia, a very alkaline fluid that begins the digestive process.
Do not drink while eating, as this stops the digestive process from beginning within the mouth.
The correct ratio of acid and alkaline forming foods is difficult to know since the balance is altered by chewing, food preparation, individual lifestyle, genetics, exercise, and mental outlook. However, those prone to infections, viruses, excess mucus problems and other toxic acidic conditions need to increase their alkaline diet."

(2)"Most foods are alkaline by nature, but manufactured processed foods are acidic. It is important to balance each meal with 75% alkaline to 25% acidic to maintain health.Perfect body pH is 6.4, above is alkaline and below is acidic. It is important that your daily dietary intake of food naturally balances your body pH."

A Universal diet does not exist. People are individual and personal. So what works for one person may not work for the next. A balanced diet is unique for each person. To find balance, it is helpful to know not only your own personal needs, but the correct preparation of whole foods, how not to overeat, how to choose high-quality foods, avoiding too many unnatural food combinations, and the art of learning the broad range of nutritious foods including chlorophyll-rich plants, the best source of certain fatty acids, and the dangers of food chemicals like aspartame, MSG, and food colorings."

ACID PRODUCING FOODS:
(2)
Meats
fish
poultry
eggs
most dairy (Milk is approximately neutral in acid/alkaline but high in mucus-forming attributes such as fat.)
most grains and legumes (Millet and roasted buckwheat are slightly alkalizing. Soy and lima beans are extremely alkalizing.)
refined sugars
drugs
food chemicals

AKALIZING FOODS
(3)"Our daily diet should consist of four-fifth of alkaline-forming foods such as juicy fruits, tubers, legumes, ripe fruits, leafy and root vegetables and one fifty of acid-forming foods containing concentrated proteins and starches such as meat, fish, bread and cereals. Eating sensibly in this manner will ensure the necessary alkalinity of the food which will keep the body in perfect health."...

"Foods are classified as acid-producing or alkaline-producing depending on their reaction on the urine. Calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium present in foods contribute to the alkaline effect, while sulfur, phosphorous and chlorine contribute to the acidic effect. Depending on the pre-dominating constituents in a particular food, it is classified as acid-forming or alkaline-forming."

I'm still taking these, I'm still losing weight and my bgt levels are staying low:Jarrow formulas coconut oil extra virginexcellant for use in solid or liquid forms, and keeps for long periods of time at room temps.

One more thing....
Well, Sam Clam and Larry Lobster were the best of friends, they loved to jam together, Sam played the drums and Larry played the harp. One day there was a terrible earthquake and both friends were killed, Larry Lobster went to heaven but you know Clams are kinda dirty so Sam went to... the other place. As time went on Larry's harp playing was noted everywhere. Sam Clam had made a name for himself by opening a huge club. Sam wrote to Larry asking him to come for huge renunion tour. Larry pleaded Saint Peter who said, "You may, but you must be back by midnight or you'll be shut out forever."
Larry went to visit Sam and they played into the night, revelry was rampant. The clock struck 10 times before Larry realized he had to get a move on Larry raced to the pearlies and scraped in just in time. St Peter was there tapping his toe, "Larry, Larry. Larry, Where is your harp?" he asked.

Wait for it now...

I appreciate the info on pH balance. I am trying to learn all I can about it.

There is an excellent book about it by Robert O. Young, he has lists of acififying foods and alkalizing foods. All meats are acidifying and some things like lemons are surprisingly alkalizing. An Acid balance is an unnatural condition in the body and it means there it a major disease going on. I have extensive information on pH in my blog a bit of checking around will give you all the information you need. Start with http://to-reverse-diabetes.blogspot.com/2007/04/ph-and-dibetes.html, there are so many entries thsat address this issure directly.
